"I'm glad that you're in my class as well Saya-chan," Ishida said. Although he was glad that she was in the same class as himself and Kurosaki, he knew that he would still be a little worried for her safety.

" Is there anyone in the class I should be worried about? " Saya asked, not wanting to be caught off guard by bullies. She was glad Ishida's other friends were in the same class and wasn't worried they wouldn't like her.
" I'm glad you are in Saya's class. I better get going. I should meet with someone before I head home. " Megumi said as they walked. She needed to talk with Isshin , hoping he could answer a few questions she had. |
"Not necessarily bullies, but there are some people that you need to watch out for. Tatsuki-san told me that there was this female named Honshō Chizuru and Kurosaki has two annoying friends, Asano Keigo and Kojima Mizuiro. Other than that, you should be okay. Although, if you do have trouble from bullies, I'm sure Tatsuki-san or myself will be able to help you also, if you want it." Ishida said.
Isshin knew that Megumi was going to want answers and hoped that he could answer whatever questions she had. |
Megumi had waved goodbye and headed in the direction where she felt Isshin. She knew it would be easier to use the phone book, but Megumi wanted to keep her senses sharp. she arrived at the clinic and knocked on the door.

Isshin opened the door after he felt Megumi's reiatsu. "Hey Megumi, what brings you here?" he asked, although he already knew the answer to his own question.

" I just have a few questions to ask you. I understand if you don't want to answer some of them. " She said.

Isshin nodded. "I figured that you would after everything that happened earlier. Would you like to come in?" he asked.

" Yes. Thank you. " Megumi said with a smile.

Isshin moved aside so that Megumi could come inside.

Megumi went inside and looked around. " You have a nice home. " She said, feeling sad that her friend had lost his wife. Megumi thought about the man she was once close to marrying, but had lost him in a car accident.

"Thank you," Isshin replied as she looked around the house. "Would you like something to drink?" he asked politely.

"Water would be nice, thank you. " Megumi said. She was feeling parched after the fighting. "Isshin. What happened here 19 months ago? I remember sensing high amount of spiritual pressure coming from the direction of Karakura. Did it have to do with this Aizen you mentioned?" She asked in a low voice, not sure who was around. It had become a habit to speak low when discussing these sort of things.

Isshin poured her a glass of water before adding some ice to it and giving it to her, listening to her as he did so. "It is," he responded, knowing why she was talking in a low voice. "You don't have to worry about eavesdropping. Urahara was able to give us several encryption devices and barriers that destroyed any types of spying mechanisms from Kurotsuchi-taichou." Isshin said.

" That's good. Had too many experiences growing up that I had the feeling of being watched. Is it possible that Soul Soicety will think all Quincy are part of the Vandenreich? You and I both know that isn't true. " Megumi said taking a sip of water.

Isshin nodded, knowing the feeling. "I doubt it, seeing as we have a few captains that will be willing to listen to us, but it won't matter if the council thinks otherwise. Although if that is the case, I'm sure Yoruichi-chan can get you, Saya-chan and both Ishidas under protection somehow," Isshin said, knowing that Urahara or Yoruichi would do anything to keep them safe. And if not, he knew his son would definitely do it.

Megumi nodded remembering what her father told her about the Central 46. " Just as long as the Vandenreich doesn't decide to try anything, I think we will be fine. I know you all will do what you can to protect us. " She said solemnly. " I hope Tetsu-San can convince them that it's the Vandenreich that are the real threat. The Vandenreich will hurt anyone that stands in their way. "Megumi said.

"I'm sure Tetsu-san and Shiro-kun will convince them that only the Vandenreich are the enemy and not all of Quincy," Isshin said, remembering of what happened the last time they went to 'war' with the Quincy.

" I hope so. The last time we fought against the shinigami it nearly wiped the Quincy completely out. I'm glad to say up our numbers are slowly increasing. Mainly it's because most of the Quincy moved to areas where hollows aren't common. " Megumi said knowing this time the clan wouldn't survive. She didn't want to be a witness to the horror her ancestors had to face. She knew the Seers had faced elimination too , due to them helping the Quincy escape a terrible fate.

"I just wished that we could have come to a peaceful compromise," Isshin said softly, knowing that everyone lost in the aftermath of that war. He was, however, glad to hear that members of the Quincy have been increasing. "Megumi...could you probably ask any other Quincy members if they are willing to help? They are not required to help and I would completely understand if anyone of them wants to throw the offer right back in our faces, but...," he said.

" I can. I know of a few that will help only because they hate the Vandenreich more than they do Shinigami. Though , others might take more convincing. I know that most of them know keeping the balance is important to keeping this world safe. I just don't want to see things destroyed. " Megumi said. " I hope that if we are allowed to help, the Quincy and the Shinagami will finally be able to work out their differences. "She added.

"Let's hope. I mean look at me and Ryuusei, as well as our sons," Isshin said as he talked about Ishida and Ishida's father. Granted both had their problems, but nothing that they weren't able to work out. "Although, I am glad to hear that there are probably a few Quincy who would like to put the Vandenreich away for good," he said before shuddering just a little. "I'm just glad that they didn't help Aizen...that would have made things extremely worse."

" I'm glad too. From what you've told me,things were bad enough. What confuses me is why do they have Shinigami helping them? I have a feeling more is going on than we think we know." Megumi said.

"Agreed, although maybe they don't have that many members themselves and needed the help from rogue Shinigami?" Isshin asked, shrugging lightly as to answer his own question. "I honestly don't know to tell you the truth, but something is telling me that we will unfortunately know the true reason as to why Shinigami are working with the Vandenreich. Although if you ask me, I think those two are working with them just to get back at Katniss-san," the elder shinigami said.

" Maybe. Maybe that is why they targeted the young Quincy in Tokyo. I hate it that Saya got involed with them, but on the other hand she now has friends that care about her. I don't want to see Katniss-san hurt by her enemies either." Megumi said and looked at her watch." I better get going so I don't miss the train. I promise to let you know if I can get other Quincies to help us." She said.

"Tokyo?" Isshin asked, hearing about this for the first time. "I think my son will help Katniss-san take care of her enemies, that's just the way he is," Isshin said, remembering how he was similar in that nature before seeing Megumi to the door, hoping that any Quincy would want to help.
