" I know they do. I want the Vandenreich to suffer for the crimes they have done. " Katia said. She had thought a lot about her life with the Vandenreich , but only now saw them for what they were.

( sorry about taking so long to post. I lost power and didn't get it back till late last night. )

"Even if you were just fighting us for them a few moments ago?" Ichigo asked out of curiosity. He had heard the last thing that Katia said and was interested in what she was saying.

" Just because I fought for them, doesn't mean I liked it. I've wanted to leave them for a long time." Katia said solemnly. She had been orphaned at age 7 and was supposed to live with a distant relative, but had been found by a member of the Vandenreich. He had promised they would be her new family, but as she got older it seemed like a prison.

" I didn't. I joined when I was 7. Though I thought then they would be my family after losing mine." Katia said, feeling sad that she didn't have any pictures of her parents." As I grew older it felt like a prison." She added.

Tatsuki hugged Katia lightly out of instinct after hearing that she had no family left. She felt the girl stiffen for a few seconds before Tatsuki let go, blushing lightly at her reaction. "Sorry about that..." she said a few seconds later.

Ichigo chuckled lightly after seeing that. "So that's how you met Hime. Perhaps I should let Keigo know about that," Ichigo said nonchalantly as he teased Tatsuki.

Katia wasn't use to people being kind to her." It's alright." She said with a small smile and not feeling so tense.

"Think we should wait to ask Katia our questions." Urahara asked Rukia as he observed Katia interact with the others. He wasn't surprised that Katia had been taken in by the Vandenreich at a young age.

Saya was surprised that Katia had been treated the same way she had for having a parent who was ordinary. She feared though that was why she wasn't as strong as she should be.

Katia was glad that she was being treated fairly here. She knew she still was a hostage, but hoped to be an ally. Katia didn't know if anyone was looking for her and hoped no one was.

" I'm glad this is going better than I had planned. I think we could just ask her questions casually ." Urahara suggested.

Hoshi felt bad that Katia had been treated that way. She was beginning to trust Katia more than she had at first.

Katia knew that soon she would have to start answering questions, but was glad that it was these Shinigami, rather than the ones she had met in the past.

" You can." Katia said in a quiet voice. She wasn't ready, but knew this was the best thing she could do at the moment.

" It is true. " Katia said.She had the device that was capable of stealing Bankai and would give it to the Shinigami if she was asked.

Katia nodded and got the disk out of one of the pockets she had, handing it to Rukia. She had never used it, but she knew of a few that had used it.

Rukia took the disk out, turning it around in her hands while looking at it from different angles. She was curious as to how a small piece of metal like this could steal a Shinigami's bankai.

(Have Katia mention that she thinks Ichigo's bankai wouldn't be stolen?)

" I don't think Ichigo's Bankai can be stolen. Why I think that I don't know for sure." Katia said. She had read pages of information on many of the known Bankais in this area. She felt guilty that she and the others had been spying on everyone here for the last two years and had carefully monitered the Winter War.
