" Huh? Oh sorry. I thought I sensed Captain Kuchiki and Captain Unohana. Were they just here?" Katniss asked. She knew she sensed Travis-san and wondered what about what had happened while she was asleep.

"They were here, as was Travis-san. We were discussing ways to help save Rue-chan and the newest Seer they've captured, Jessica Williams," Kisuke explained.

" They captured a Seer? " Katniss said sitting upright. " Why did they capture one?" She asked.

"They did, sadly. We believe that the Leader was grooming Katia in order to block the visions of Hoshi. Since Katia changed sides, they needed someone else to block their visions."

" We need to get Jessica back. Did they figure out a way to stop them from blocking Hoshi?" Katniss had a feeling that it was bad for a Seer to have their visions blocked. She didn't want to see a friend of Rue hurt.

"We're not sure yet, but we're setting up precautions all the same. Yoruichi-chan and Tetsu-san are training them just in case, and Travis-san said he would help them in any way he could."

" That's good. Let me know if there is anything I can do. " Katniss said.

Travis got the message that the council would help him but they wanted him to convince the Quincy he had just met to talk to them too. Travis saw he had a message from Ryuuken and agreed to meet him later. Travis was a bit nervous and hoped this meeting went well.

"Of course," Kisuke said, knowing that he couldn't stop her from helping, especially when it came to her friend.

Ryuuken hoped that Travis received his message and would get back to him. Until then, he could only wait and hope that nothing happened. He hated the fact that these...rogues were running rampant, especially since they were giving the Quincy a bad reputation.

Travis messaged back and headed toward the hospital. He kept to the occupied streets knowing the Vandenreich didn't like crowds. He was glad he preferred big cities , as opposed to his hometown. He knew there was always safety in numbers. He waited in the spot at the hospital where Ryūken had specified and kept his guard up just in case he was ambushed.

Ryuken had finished his shift and was glad to see that Travis had responded to his message as he checked his phone. Changing into some clothes that weren't related to the hospital, Ryuken headed out to meet with Travis.

Travis was glad to see the other man and gave a smile. He just hoped that Ryūken didn't object to him talking with Shimigami. Travis knew how is cousin Jacob felt about it.Travis kinda liked being the black sheep of the Carter family, since that was what his father had been.

Ryuken saw who he assumed to be Travis and waved towards him as he started to walk closer. Once he was within hearing distance he called out his name questioningly, hoping that he wasn't wrong.

Travis gave a wave when he heard his name. He revcognized the other man from a few days ago when the Vandenreich had tried to take Hoshi and Katia." I got your message." He said when Ryuuken was closer. He hoped they would go someplace where they couldn't be heard. He was a little paranoid about being a target now that he agreed to help the Shinigami with this war.

Ryuken smirked lightly to himself, glad that he was right. Heading towards the young man, he noticed that Travis was looking over his shoulder, perhaps a little bit paranoid. Then again, if he decided on helping the Shinigami then he understood. He may not have liked them, but he wasn't going to stop other people from working with them.

"Travis-san?" he asked, getting his attention. Once he had it, he asked if it would be better for them to talk in a more private location.

" That probably would be best." Travis said. He didn't want to be overheard when he told Ryuken about what he had offered to do. He knew that most Quincies would be too afraid to even speak about Shinigami.

"What about talking in my office?" Ryuken asked, knowing that it would suit their purposes well.

" That would be great. Thank you . " Travis said. " I apologize for being so tense." He added.

"It's not a problem," Ryuken said as he waved Travis's worries off as he led him to his office.

Travis nodded. He was glad to have a chance to relax knowing stress wasn't a good thing to be occupied with. He already had too much in his life.

Once they got to the office, Ryuken opened the door as the both of them walked inside. "Now then...you said something about wanting to help defeat the Vandenreich?" Ryuken asked after he closed the door, knowing he wouldn't be disturbed unless it was absolutely necessary.

" Yes I did. I mentioned I talked to someone on the North American council about all this. They agree to help us since I mentioned that Katia was a Quincy who was captured at a young age. I mentioned both you and Tetsu to them but naturally they won't talk to my friend. They do want to speak to you though. Also I've agreed to talk to the captains if they need convincing and the council agrees to work with them if I can convince the captains. " Travis said. "I'm also willing to help Katia and Hoshi in anyway I can to help them gain the strength they need to fight the Vandenreich." Travis added. He didn't want anyone else to suffer the pain the Vandenreich caused so many families.

Ryuken smirked after hearing what Travis had to say. "You've really done your homework, haven't you? Did the North American Branch tell you why they wanted to talk to me?" He asked. He had to admit that Travis really was trying to help convince everyone that combining forces after bickering for so long was a good idea for all parties, especially when they had a common enemy in the Vandenreich. "If you don't mind me asking...why are you so driven to stop the Vandenreich?"

"My father Joseph and his older brother Thomas were kidnapped by the Vandenreich when they were boys.Their parents were Quincies and had begun to train them both. That was when some members of the Vandenreich tried to get my grandfather Reid to join them, and he refused. Sometime later, my grandparents were killed in an a staged auto accident. My uncle and father were taken by the Vandenreich and were trained for almost 6 years. My uncle devised a distraction and escaped with my father back to this world. My dad said he had nightmares for years and feared the Vandenreich would kill him and my mom and kidnap me and my younger sister. " Travis said. He never liked talking about this but he knew that it was why he fought as hard as he did.

"The Council said they wanted to hear what you had say about Katia being captured. They also mentioned they wanted me to talk to the Japanese Council and said you would know how to get in touch with them" Travis said a moment later after regaining his composure.

Ryuken noticed that Travis did not like to talk about this as he listened, remembering a few things in his past that he would rather not mention. "I can talk to the Japanese Council on your behalf Travis, but I think it would be better if you talked to her uncle about Katia's capture. He would have more knowledge about it than myself."

" Thank you so much. " Travis said respectfully. " I'll talk to Tetsu and have him speak to the Council. It will do them good to listen to a Shinigami who knows Katia. " Travis said with a slight grin. He knew that it was the first step that had to be taken for the Quincy and the Shinigami to finally let go of their differences.
