" Your powers sound interesting. Maybe the reason your Bankai is like that is because your Quincy side is condensing your Shinigami side . That could be the reason you are faster in that mode. " Daisuke suggested. He had knowledge of how Quincy powers worked and used it to help Ichigo and wasn't put off by his cousin's Visard powers.

" I think Eiko and Naomi should stay with Karin and Yuzu when things get bad. I know Sachi could be a target also. If Karin unlocks her powers , then Naomi can guide her in the right direction. We should be able to tag team if we need too. Kisuke has agreed to be there as a precaution and have my back. I'm thinking Kenji can have yours and Daisuke have Ichigo's. I'm not sure what the other Quincies in the area have planned if the Vandenreich attack , but I hope they are willing to work with the Shinigami that are here. " Ren suggested.

"Maybe, but then again who knows why Tensa Zangetsu is the way he is," Ichigo said with a shrug. "Though why do you think that?" he asked.

"It sounds as if you've already thought everything out," Isshin said as he wrote things down before he let Ren know about his own ideas. "Byakuya told me about Minato protecting Katia and Hoshi who will be fighting in a team of three, I believe Rukia and Tatsuki will also be helping Karin and the others, as well as protecting Yuzu from harm. I'm not sure about the others though," he replied.

" Not sure really. Grandpa once said that even if a Quincy isn't able to use thier powers yet, their powers still can effect other things. Grandma had a story about Quincy who long ago became Shinigami , but still knew how to use thier powers. They defected 400 years ago fearing that if they were found a war could start. They trained hard and were able to compress thier Shinigami powers to be more efficient. She says that these Quincies were also possibly the foreberers to the Elemental Quincies. " Daisuke said scratching his head.


" I'm glad that there are other teams around. Remembering how Ryuuken is , I don't think he'll let his dislike for Shinigami get in the way of him fighting the Vandenreich." Ren said. He knew that all Quincies had ties to the Vandenriech in one way or another. Some had family members who had left the Vandenreich or had members who had been killed by them.

"Sounds interesting," Ichigo said, intrigued by the history lesson, although he was curious as to who the person actually was.

"Why do all Quincy members hate the Vandenreich anyways?" Isshin asked. He had an idea, but wasn't one hundred percent certain.

" Glad you thought so. There are other interesting stories that I can tell you if you want. " Daisuke offered. He wanted to help his cousin as much as he could before he started training.

" They placed the blame on the Quincy for the over hunting of hollows and other crimes. The Quincy had noticed the tearing of the realms over a 100 years. We did what we could to prevent them from collapsing. It wasn't until the Shinigami noticed that we tried to ask thier help. We found out much too late about the Vandenreich and thier objective to destroy everything. We hate them since the Quincy suffered for the crimes the Vandenreich had commited. They also had murdered several Shinigami and badly injured a few others during a possible resolve to the war that took place. " Ren said.

" Maybe we can convince our dads to let me stay here for tonight. It would just be like the old days. " Daisuke said as he heard toward the stairs.

" Are we ready to head to the movies? And maybe afterwards we can go to lunch. " Eiko said to Karin and Yuzu. She knew it would be good for the girls to have some girl time with thier family.

Ren grabbed the bag of cookies and another bag of candied ginger, since he had promised Kisuke he would bring them.

Urahara sensed a gate being opened and had a feeling Captain Hitsugaya would arrive soon. He was looking forward to seeing Ren again and that Daisuke would be coming too.

Ichigo chuckled. "Maybe. We'll see about it," he said before heading down the stairs with his cousin right behind him. He looked towards the wrist that he had wrapped the Quincy Pendant around, quite curious as to what his grandfather was going to teach him.

Both girls nodded at their aunt's question and suggestion, glad to be spending time with her. Karin fingered the present that she got from grandfather making sure it was there. The weight of the piece of jewelry felt right on her arm, and it also helped ease the agitated feeling her powers were making her feel, to which she felt extremely grateful for.

Isshin raised an eyebrow as Ren grabbed the two food items but said nothing about it. He had a feeling that the old man had promised Kisuke some and was just delivering on his promise. Shrugging lightly, he knew it wasn't as important as what they were going to be doing today. Seeing both Daisuke and Ichigo at the foot of the stairs, he grinned lightly.

Toushiro and Soi-fon went through the opened gate of Soul Society, the meeting being approved by the Captain-Commander when he first heard about it several weeks ago. The young captain just hoped that he wasn't getting in over his head with all that. While he wasn't sure if he could trust Ren or not just yet, he would give the elderly Quincy a chance, especially since he was family to Ichigo. He had a feeling that Soi-fon was thinking along the same lines.

"Are we ready to go?" Ren asked. " You girls have fun." He said with a smile. He knew that they would have fun togeather.

Naomi waved goodbye and hoped the meeting went well. " Are we ready to go? The movie starts in a half hour." She said once the boys had left.

Kenji had his guard up as they walked, hoping this all went well. He had always wondered what information his dad had about the Vandenreich, and hoped the Shinigami believed it.

" I'm glad to see that the both of you are here." Ren and the others should be here soon. " Urahara said, having the feeling that both Captain Hitsugaya and Captain Soi-fon were unsure whether to trust Ren yet. He understood how they felt, but knew Ren was on their side.

Both Ichigo and Daisuke nodded to their grandfather's question as all the males got ready to go. Ichigo knew that his sisters would have a good time with their aunt and cousin, knowing that Naomi and Aunt Sachi could take care of things if something came up, and if it was too close for the shinigami to get their in time. 'sometimes having people who know me is a blessing in disguise' Ichigo thought to himself, knowing that people knew he would get completely pissed if something happened to his family, especially his sisters.

Both girls nodded at their cousins question, both of them ready to enjoy the time with their cousin and aunt.

Isshin understood his brother-in-law's tension and why he kept his guard up through all of this, but knew that it wasn't entirely necessary, knowing that the shinigami could take care of things by themselves. With this information;however, he still kept his senses aware, just in case.

"I just hope that this "Ren" person can be trusted Kisuke. I'd hate to see what would happen if he's lying to all of us," Toushiro said. It wasn't a threat, but he knew how the other captains could get if they were betrayed. It wouldn't be pretty.

Ren could feel an icy presance as they got closer to Kisuke's shop and wondered if this was Captain Hitsugaya. He hoped they trusted them, but knew that since he was former Sternritter, it could be difficult to gain their trust.


" For as long as I've known Ren, I trust him with my life. I understand that him being a former Sternritter might be of concern, but I know for a fact he won't betray us." Urahara said.

Isshin grinned lightly as he felt the cold reiatsu in the air as they got closer to Kisuke's shop, knowing that Toushiro was there waiting for him. He felt another presence, but didn't who it belonged to.

"If you and Yoruichi-sama trust him, then I'll give him a chance to speak and see what he says about all of this," Soi-fon said, but she didn't make any promises.

Ren was happy to see Kisuke in the distance and gave a wave with his free hand. He was happy to see his friend after being away for so long.

Kisuke waved back and was glad to see Kenji was with the group. He saw a male about Ichigo's age and assumed that was Daisuke. He was glad that Yoruichi was here to finally meet his old friend. " Glad to see you all made it and brought gifts. Captain Hitsugaya and Captain Soi-fon are in the back waiting. " He said jovially. He had a feeling that Ren had some of Eiko's famous candied ginger with him.

Isshin chuckled and grinned, glad to see Kisuke and waved as well. Hearing Kisuke, Isshin nodded before heading inside.

"So they're willing to give Ren-jiji a chance to talk?" Ichigo asked.

Ren saw a younger man who he thought at first was younger than Ichigo and suddenly realized this was Captain Hitusgaya." I'm glad meet you both, I'm Ren Isobe." He said and bowed slightly. Kenji also introduced himself, followed by Daisuke. Daisuke was a little bit nervous, sensing the mass amount of power in the room.

Toushiro grinned lightly, glad that someone related to Ichigo and Isshin had manners and returned the bow with one of his own. "It's nice to meet you all. I'm glad that someone related to the Kurosaki's have manners after all," Toushiro said, ignoring Isshin and Ichigo's outbursts. "My name is Hitsugaya Toushiro, it's a pleasure to meet you both," he said.

Soi-fon also bowed in return and introduced herself.

"It's nice to meet you both also." Daisuke said. He had a feeling that something big was going to be revealed today.


"Let me know when you are ready for me to tell you my story." Ren said and took a deep breath to relax. He hoped it would be believed, fearing the worst if it wasn't .

Ren nodded." For my family this all started when I was 6 weeks old. My father Akihiro had refused to join the Vandenreich 4 days earlier. The Vandenreich killed my mother at the age of 21. My father joined only to make sure I was safe. I blindly followed the Vandenriech and eventually at 18,became a member of the Sternritter. I only made it to Y rank, before my father had also been killed. I found out months later that he had been killed because he knew the leader's name was Juhabach. I at first thought this was impossible, since Juhabach is thought of as the First Quincy. This means he was the one who helped the Quincy realize their powers 1900 years ago." Ren said starting off.

" The Vandenreich tried to kill me shortly after I found out the name of the leader. If it wasn't for the quick thinking of my brothers -in -law , Kisuke wouldn't have been able to save my life. I met my lovely wife Eiko shortly after that and we married a few years later. When Kenji and Misaki were 4 and 5 , I was abducted by the Vandenreich. Those five days in there supposed sanctuary ware the worst. Luckily I know how to make fire arrows and I created a distraction and got away. As the years passed I though my family was safe, but always knew the danger was there. I trained both my children to be able to fend off a possible attack by the Vandenreich. " Ren said and paused, since this last part was the hardest for him. " When Ichigo was starting to build up his powers ,I was worried. I didn't want the Vandenreich to take my grandchildren away from me as punishment. I know Misaki fought as had as she could that night, but her death was a reminder of how evil the Vandenreich are and how much they want to continue to punish me. " Ren said wiping the tears from his face.

" It is. We Isobe's have suffered too long at the hands of the Vandenreich. I know there are other Quincy families that have similar tales to tell. " Kenji said, knowing his father needed to rest a little bit after talking. He knew the name of the leader too and was glad Ichigo and Daisuke had learned it. Naomi knew of it too, knowing she wouldn't be a target.
