"so that means I can officially challenge that oaf for his spot if I wanted to?" Tatsuki asked. She had seen the so-called lieutenant that Soi-fon had to deal with and pitied the petite girl for having to put up with him for so long.
Katia quickly got dressed and just as she finished doing so, she heard a knock on the door. "Who is it?" she asked. While she had a feeling it was Toushiro, she wanted to make sure. |
" If you would like. " Soi fon said. She knew Tatsuki would be able to defeat her current lieutenant and it would serve him right. She couldn't fire him but if he was defeated she could appoint Tatsuki as his replacement.

A savage grin appeared on Tatsuki's face as she heard that. "Good. That guy is annoying as hell. How have you put up with him for so long?" she asked before a thought occurred to her. "Um...when I beat him, does that mean I'll be your lieutenant?" she asked. If that was the case, she could tease Ichigo about how he'd have to answer to her.
"It's Toushiro. Can I come in?" The captain asked. |
" I have no idea really. He thinks because his father was a lieutenant that he can be one. It does mean that. " Soi-Fon said with a small smile.
' You can come in. " Hoshi said and happy that Toshiro was here. |
"Oh I can just see Ichi's face when I tell him I'm a lieutenant," Tatsuki said with a smirk on her face. Though what Soi-fon would say next about Ichigo would deflate that little bubble of hers all to quickly.
(If I may ask, can you have Soi-fon say how everyone sees Ichigo as an unofficial captain?) Toshiro was glad to see his girlfriend and her cousin once he entered their room. Closing it behind him, he had a small grin on his face. "Girls, I have some good news for you," he stated. |
" Actually, everyone sees Ichigo as an unofficial captain." Soi-fon said.
" What is it?" Hoshi and Katia said in unison. |
"They do?" Tatsuki asked as she deflated somewhat. And she had so wanted to tease him about that. "Course he probably already knows about it as well..." she muttered. "Anyways, I'm getting ahead of myself, aren't I?" she asked.
"The captains and I were discussing a new idea to have the both of you and Tatsuki-san to officially join the ranks of Gotei 13," he said. |
" I think he might know about it but I'm not sure. Just a little bit. " Soi-Fon said with a smile.
" Really?" Hoshi said excitedly. She was glad that the captains trusted them enough as Shinigami to join the ranks as an official shinigami |
"Sorry," Tatsuki muttered, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly.
"Even me?" Katia asked, surprised. Especially since she wasn't technically a shinigami. She was more of a Quincy then anything else. |
"It's fine Tatsuki-san. " Soi-Fon said.
" Even you Katia-san." Toshiro said. He knew there had been an intense debate on whether to allow Katia this privilege, but the majority had stated it would be a good gesture to strengthen the alliance with the Quincy. |
"Now then, what do I need to do?" Tatsuki asked.
Katia grinned immensely, glad that Toshiro wasn't trying to pull one over on her. Though she had a feeling that it would be difficult since she knew the story behind the Quincy and the Shinigami. "Thank you Toshiro." |
"Just mentally prepare yourself for the meeting. It will be formal and afterward there will be food. I should mentjon that Kurotsuchi won't be attending, since he was the only one to disagree about this." Soi-fon said.
"Yes thank you." Hoshi said with a smile. " You're both welcome. There's no need to worry about Kurotsuchi being at this ceremony." Toshiro said. |
"Good. Ichi-kun told me about him, said something like if I'm alone with him to make sure to punch him in the face before running," Tatsuki responded. She had heard the stories and did not want to be around the scientist. "Who in their right mind decided that he would be a good captain?"
Katia nodded, glad at that information as well. "Is there anything that we need to do that you know about Toshiro-kun?" Katia asked. |
" That would have been Urahara, but Urahara says he regrets that choice." Soi-Fon said.
" Not that I know of at this momnet. It will be a formal ceremony and that there will be a gathering afterward thanks to Captain Kuchiki." Toshiro said. He knew it this decision had been greatly supported by Captain Kuchiki and he was the one who convinced the others that this was a good decision. |
Tatsuki shook her head lightly at the information of that, wondering what Urahara was thinking when he recruited Kurotsuchi.
"Do you happen to know when this is taking place?" Hoshi asked. |
" In a few hours. That will give you both enough time to relax a little bit. " Toshiro said. He was glad that this ceremony would also have the lieutenants present. He had heard that Rukia was wanting to see the girls and wondered if she had some influence into having the reception at her brothers estate.

"Is there anything else that I need to know?" Tatsuki asked. She wanted to know everything that she could, especially since she could accidentally do something to embarrass herself and not even realize it.

" Just remember to be polite. I trust that you will be. " Soi-fon said.

"I can do polite, but if someone starts something, I'm not going to turn the other cheek," Tatsuki responded. She also wondered if she would be able to see Hoshi and Katia.

" That's understandable. I know you'll be glad to see Hoshi and Katia again. I only wish Ichigo and the others were able to be here. " Soi-fon said. This had been short notice and it would be best for someone to still be in the living world after the events of the day before.

"I wish he could see it as well, especially since he's a friend of all three of us," Tatsuki replied.

I know. It would be nice if Yoruichi could be here too. ' Soi-Fon said feeling sad. She knew her mentor was the reason she had became a captain and wanted to be the best. She trained as much as she could to perfect Shunko , but it seemed impossible.

"Tatsuki sighed lightly at that before trying to change the subject. "Soi-fon...thanks. for doing all this for us," she said.

" You are welcome." Soi-Fon said with a smile on her face .
