Saya's aunt was walking towards Urahara's shop, wondering how far Saya was in her training.

" Well hello Megumi. It's good to see you. " Kisuke said with a smile. He had a feeling she would ask about Saya's training and knew he had to be truthful.

"Good afternoon Kisuke-kun; it's been a while, hasn't it?" Megumi asked before asking him about her niece.

" It went really well. Meg, you should sit down before I tell you this. " Kisuke said knowing how concerned she had been lately.

"Why? Is something wrong with Saya-chan?!" Megumi asked, concerned for her niece.

" Saya is able to remember her past life. You know and I know how rare this is. She does need to remember her past Mag, since if it's not us , it will be someone that will hurt her again."Urahara said .

"I know, but I don't have to like it. The past life of Saya's was not a kind one if I remember hearing about it correctly," she replied softly.

(Sorry about taking long. Bought a few movies and watched one tonight. It's super super cold here. :( )

" It wasn't but she has a brother that loves her very much. He's helping her regain her Shinigami abilities and she will be able to her Quincy abilities as well. Meg don't worry. Saya is in good hands. " Kisuke said.

(I see. stay warm then Hill-chan)

"She does, does she?" Megumi asked, quite curious about who her brother was and what he was like.

( I will. I have water running in my kitchen so my pipes don't freeze. Though I'm happy it will be warmer this time next week. )

" Soji is a good kid. He's protective of her and I know he doesn't want to lose her again. " Kisuke said and heard Soji and Saya coming up the stairs.

"Aunt Megumi!" Saya said happily as she saw her aunt talking to Kisuke. She didn't see Soji stiffen as he saw the elder Quincy, but hoped that nothing bad happened from the exchange he was about to have.

Soji was tense around Saya's aunt and hoped this went well. " I'm honored to meet you ma'am. " He said with a polite bow.

Megumi nodded lightly. She was glad to see that he was well-mannered, at least if there was anything indicated by the form of greeting. "And I am honored to meet you Soji-kun," she responded.

" I promise you I will keep Saya-chan safe. " Soji said knowing that he didn't want to lose his sister again.

"Make sure that you do. It's your head if she's hurt," Megumi threatened.

" I understand. I promise I won't fight back if I do fail you. " Soji said.

"Make sure that you remember that," Megumi said.

"Auntie!" Saya said, blushing lightly. Just because they were talking about her, didn't mean she had to hear it...

" It's okay Saya. Would it be alright if I stayed and kept watch over Saya? " Soji asked hoping he could spend more time with his sister.

"I don't see why not" Megumi said.

" He can stay with us Auntie?! " Saya said happily and giving her aunt a hug.

"He can stay," Megumi said, knowing that Soji wanted to get more time with his sister/her niece.

" Thank you Doctor Adachi for letting me stay. " Soji said. He just hoped Kusaka wouldn't show his face.

"Think nothing of it Soji-san. If my neice is happy, then that's all that matters to me," Megumi replied. "I'll have to change the wards up a little so that you can come and go as you please, but it won't be that much of a hassle."

( That's fine. Been trying to redo a project that's due in an hour. Got it submitted but still feel crushed. )

" Alright. I promise to be of help. I may be from a noble family , but our mother taught us the virtue of hard work. " He said.

Soji grinned before nodding lightly knowing that it would be the least that he could do.
