Sasuke's eyes narrowed when Kakashi mentioned Ino. She was more annoying than Sakura. So he was only slightly relieved when Sakura said she'd do it. Even if her yelling hurt his head. He watched as Naruto ran off to pack before turning and heading home himself. Might as well get this over with. He needed to mentally prepare himself to deal with the annoying blond he was going to be stuck with.

"Sakura, go and gather your things, we would like to leave on time tonight" Kakashi spoke poofing out "Oh okay!" Sakura cheered being back to her normal self and walking home with a smile on her face. "This is going to be a long trip" Kakashi sighed hoping Sakura would play the part right, each of them needed a different look, including Sakura who was like the only one with her hair color. He wasn't sure how she was born with pink hair, but, then again not many usually was. After packing Kakashi went to sleep setting his alarm. Sakura after some light packing decided to pick out outfit for the starting part of the trip.

Naruto wasn't very organized about packing. He just threw a bunch of stuff in a bag before setting his alarm and going to sleep. Sasuke, on the other hand, made sure to pack what he needed and not a lot of useless things. Then went to bed himself. He didn't need an alarm. He'd be up in time to leave anyway.

The hours went by and soon enough Kakashi's alarm went off making him get up and grabbing his things. He instead of walking, poofed to the entrance before anyone else appeared. "Well I'm not late for once at least. But where is Sakura she is always the first one here" Kakashi thought to himself waiting for the others to arrive.

Sasuke left when he was supposed to, having woken up hours ago. He arrived and noticed Kakashi was on time for once. That was a first. Just before they had to leave, Naruto ran up, out of breath. He hadn't heard his alarm go off, so it was lucky he woke up in time.

"Now we're just waiting on Sakura" Kakashi spoke wondering where she could be. Sakura poofed in "Sorry I'm late everyone" Sakura spoke cheerfully. Kakashi was surprised to see his pink hair student had her long pink hair was now cut short up to her shoulders and up in a high ponytail with light purple streaks. She looked a bit older wearing the outfit she chose and wait, was that make up? 'She must be trying to impress Sasuke or she is having too much fun with this' Kakashi thought to himself. "What do you guys think?" Sakura asked her bag on her back.

"You look great, Sakura-chan!" Naruto exclaimed. He was surprised by how much she had changed overnight. And it just made him like her more. Sasuke remained silent. To him, she looked the same, only slightly older. So it really wasn't going to change his opinion of her. "Can we just go now?" he asked, not liking just standing around.

(thank you I thought this would surprise them a bit)

"Yes, let's go, just remember after we are a couple miles away you have to play your parts understood?" Kakashi spoke as they were starting off and leaving the village. Sakura nodded happily and made sure she walked next to Kakashi and Sasuke just because she wanted to.

Sasuke nodded and started walking. He moved so that he wouldn't be walking next to Sakura. He made it so that Naruto was between them. It wasn't like Naruto minded. It put him closer to Sakura. They all understood that they had to play their parts.

A couple miles of silence had came and passed, soon they would have to play their parts and Kakashi was just getting to the god part in his book, reluctantly he put it away in his bag's pocket. "Alright, everyone be on your guards, don't fight anyone or anything unless I say so, understood?" Kakashi spoke thinking 'If we could look less like ninjas and play our parts then we shouldn't compromise the mission.' Sakura smiled taking Kakashi's hand which caught him off guard a bit, but, how else to show that they were student and teacher supposed to be in love. 'I wonder what that stupid Naruto will do to show Sasuke and him are together' she was keeping a firm eye on Naruto but kept her face the same.

Sasuke and Naruto nodded in agreement. Sasuke knew that he would be able to handle not getting into a fight. But he wasn't sure about Naruto. He would keep him out of trouble though.The next thing he knew, Naruto's arm was around his neck, holding him close to him. He automatically glared, then made his face calm. He couldn't go around glaring at Naruto. That would ruin things. And as much as he wanted to rip the blond's arm off for touching him, he dealt with it.

(lol Sasuke has a lot of control, doesn't he, oh yea almost forgot someone)

Itachi was off to the side following them from afar, he didn't like that Sasuke was so close to Naruto and made a mental note for later that if Sasuke didn't kill off Naruto, he would and would make his little brother watch. Kakashi became aware of a presence but wasn't sure who it was. Kakashi stopped and turned "What is it Sensei?" Sakura asked back to her some what normal self. "Nothing, probably just the wind" Kakashi spoke his glare softening and he turned back walking with Sakura again.

Sasuke automatically scanned the area, but saw nothing. Maybe it was just the wind. He was ready if they were attacked anyway. "Exactly where are we going, Kakashi?" he asked. He hoped that they wouldn't be walking for to long. He wouldn't be able to stand being so close to Naruto for that long.

"Well we have a week long trip, in the midst of it we have to find the girl, keep her safe, and take her back to her village hidden in the sound. Her name is Casie Amita, she is the third daughter out of four and the only one yet to be married. She was kidnapped and last seen around these parts, probably farther away from her country than they think." Kakashi spoke "So we get to save a princess and return her back to her people?" Sakura asked as Kakashi Shrugged "Pretty much" "Well it sounds boring, let's just hope she isn't the total princess type otherwise she could be more annoying than Naruto" Sakura added in the annoying part on purpose.

"Hey! I'm not that annoying!" Naruto exclaimed. "Yes you are, loser." Sasuke stated, stepping away from him. That was enough contact for him for today. Out of nowhere, some bandits/robbers appeared, demanding that they hand over anything of value. Sasuke's eyes narrowed, hand reaching for a kunai. He didn't draw it though. He would wait and see what Kakashi would do.

"We don't have any on us, we are just travelers" Sakura spoke nicely but the others didn't buy it "Hand it over or someone's getting hurt" Kakashi waited stepping in front of Sakura protecting her as the part would've played out to be but also, didn't want to give too much of them away. "Too bad, your lives will be the price" The bandits said "Now" Kakashi spoke taking out two of the bandits by sucker punching them. There were 7 bandits altogether. Sakura got really close, only inches away and round kicked one of them.

Sasuke was tense as the bandits were speaking. Beside him, he could see Naruto was as well. The second Kakashi gave the command, they attacked in unison, eliminating the last of the bandits. These men were idiots. They should know that not everybody were what they appeared to be.

After hiding them in some bushes off to the side, Sakura clinged back to Kakashi and looked rather happy about it. Though she was thinking 'I hope they didn't mess up my make up' for once she was an actual girl that it was weird but for some reason Kakashi kind of liked that. Knowing the fangirl Sakura for so long and now getting a mature young lady, that was a surprise and a gift. After walking for another couple miles away, Kakashi stopped them "We'll make camp" they were told earlier in the Hokage's office they would only need sleeping bags, one for each of them.

Even after the bandits had hidden, Sasuke refused to have Naruto cling to him. It was way to much contact. He really needed his space. Naruto was relieved when Kakashi said that they would be setting up camp. He instantly collapsed on the ground. Sasuke nodded and set down his bag. "I'll gather wood for a fire." he said, not waiting for a response before heading off into the forest. What he really wanted was some time to himself and this seemed like the best way.

"Sakura, why don't you lie out your bag and I'll get to cooking" Kakashi spoke. Sakura didn't like to cook even though she could. "Okay, I'll lay out the others too" Sakura chimed but was more tired than she was earlier. 'Only day one and we were already saught out by bandits but these were just the average bandits, nothing to them really. Otherwise they wouldn't have been so easy' Kakashi thought to himself. Sakura on the other hand was humming and after finishing getting things done she sat against a tree, she had already fallen asleep halfway as she was lost in her own random thoughts.

Sasuke gathered an arm full of wood before returning. He set it up before lighting it. Then he went and sat at the base of a tree. He wasn't very tired. But he knew that he needed to get his rest. He could see that Naruto was already passed out asleep on the other side of the fire. He was surprised that he could sleep so easily.

Kakashi was busy with preparing the meal, after it was finished, Sakura woke up Naruto after awhile to eat. They had broccoli and cheese soup, the white sauce kind. Water was what they had to drink since they had to travel light for it being one week. They had only enough food for two days, maybe three if they spreaded it out. They wouldn't need much since they would need their guard up for looking for the princess tomorrow day or night. Kakashi ate and went to read his book under a tree taking the first watch. Sakura slowly ate hers and looked to see if Naruto went back to sleep or would wake and eat.

Naruto woke when he smelt to the food. He ate quickly before going straight back to sleep. Sasuke ate more slowly. Once he was done, he jumped up and landed on a branch, sitting there. He wasn't tired, so he wasn't going to go to sleep just yet. He had plenty of time to do that once he was actually tired. For now, he would stay up here and have some peace and quiet. And least, as quiet as he could get.

Kakashi kept reading his book and of course Sakura was curious to why her sensei loved that book so much. Sitting next to Kakashi she tried to look over "Do you need something Sakura?" Kakashi asked "I'm just curious" "I believe you are too young for this book" "Aw come on, it can't be that bad" "You have no idea Sakura" "Pleeeease" Sakura spoke keeping her voice down to a whisper hoping not to bug the others. Kakashi sighed, Sakura was too cute right now to say no to. "Alright fine" Kakashi made it so that Sakura was sitting on his lap and they can both look at the book. After a page or two Sakura was blushing enough that you could easily see it. "I told you so, do you want to stop?" Sakura just shook her head and Kakashi chuckled.

Sasuke sighed slightly. So much for having peace. He stood and took off into the forest. He would return in a hour or two. He found a small pond and kicked off his shoes, slipping his feet in as he took a seat and laid back, his arms crossing behind his head. His eyes closed as he relaxed. This was definitely more peaceful than the camp. Maybe he'll just sleep here.
