Today was the day; he was going to ask her out. He’d been playing it subtle for far too long! What exactly was he waiting for? It wasn’t like he could possibly get any handsomer than he already was and it certainly wasn’t an underlying fear that this girl would turn him down. Why the very thought of any girl daring to turn him down was laughable! He was Cameron Connors the boy no girl could dream of refusing. Why would that change now? Rolling his head from side to side to relieve any stress-ha! What stress could he possibly have? He was incredibly handsome and he had no problem getting others to do his bidding. After all it was simple, all he had to was smile and down they went! He had nothing to be worried about. He was wasting valuable time standing here and trying to bolster his already high confidence.
Brushing his hair out of his face, Cameron sent a swoon worthy smile in the direction of his waiting fan girls just see their reaction. True to form the girls let out a soft scream before swooning. Arching one brow Cameron admired his handiwork a soft chuckle escaping. He was being silly; he didn’t have a thing to worry about. Ms. Lucy Keller wasn’t going to know what hit her, actually she would. But that was beside the point! Standing up tall and straight he put on his most charming smile and walking towards Lucy and her friends. Not that he was worried about them. He only had one girl in his sights at the moment. And that was Lucy, he shared a few classes with her but other than that he really didn’t know anything about her. When he reached her he stopped his blue eyes sparkling as he brushed a stray lock of hair out of his face before he spoke. “Good day ladies! Its an especially good day for you Ms. Lucy. Today I am going to offer you the most magnificent offer for a girl of such high stature as yourself.” he explained his blue eyes peering soul searchingly into hers.” I would like to invite you to come have lunch with me. Just the two of us…provided that your friends don’t mind that is.” He offered flashing a quick charming grin in her companion’s direction before he turned his attention back to her. |
Lucy rose an eyebrow. Oh, this boy was so lucky that Andrew had a different lunch period. Lucy turned to her friends, sending them a look that was asking their advice. Angela grinned and stood up, walking over to Cameron. They needed some alone time. "Ms. Keller has a very busy schedule. If you will give us a few moments to discuss your offer, you might find that it is accepted. Don't worry, we will be with you shortly" she said and flicked her fingers in his direction, gently sparking them to intimidate him away enough so the girls could have some private time. The spark wasn't likely to keep him away for long, though. "I don't know... what if Andrew finds out?" Lucy asked.
Angela huffed "Lucy, sweetie, you're in charge of your own life. If you want to eat lunch with him, then do so. If you don't, then don't" she advised. "She has a point, you know. You'll never know if you even like the guy if you never talk to him--But don't let him get too close!" Katherine advised, her whole demeanor changing at the end. Poor Katherine, she controlled both light and dark, so she had multiple personalities because of it, each fighting for dominance. The light side was a regular angel, the dark side was a rebel. She had quite the permanent record. Lucy placed her hand on Katherine's knee "thank you. I... I think I will. Just to see what this is all about, of course. I'll see you all later, please don't tell Andrew!" she pleaded and stood up, heading over to where Cameron was. "I'm sorry about that... I... I would be happy to accept your offer, Mr. Connors" she told him, flashing him with a smile. unfortunately, she still had a hard time turning the flirt tone in her voice. She didn't exactly get to practice it much, so she didn't even know she was using it until she'd already spoke. She looked down, suddenly embarrassed that she couldn't control such a simple aspect. One of the few things she wasn't too happy about Andrew. Some things you can only learn by being with boys. If Andrew wouldn't let her near a boy she was interested in, then how was she supposed to practice. |
‘Might find that it is accepted’?! There was no might in this type of situation. It was either a yes or no question! She shouldn’t have to think it over! She should have been following him like..well for lack of better words like a love struck fool! Why on earth did she need to talk it over with her friends? There was no hiding his look of outright shock at that one. He really hadn’t seen that coming, even the hard to get girls didn’t do this to him. They just pretended to think it over for a moment before they succumbed to his will. Well this was just unacceptable, Camera Connors was not going to sit here and wait for just one silly albeit incredibly pretty girl to make up her mind! He’d just opened his mouth to bluster out some polite yet scathing remark when Lucy’s friend flicked sprk his way.
Holding in a yelp he hurriedly pulled backwards inwardly praying his hair didn’t erupt into an uncontainable ball of frizz. Shocking, but true he had to deal with frizzies and stray hairs like everyone else. He just didn’t enjoy it. And yet despite the potential threat of those sparks, he had to admit that he was intrigued bye Lucy’s friends. Ah..how could he have missed her? True he’d been focused on the Lucy up until this point but Lucy hadn’t sent sparks his way. Was that a sign that there was a possibly sparks could fly between him and this lovely blonde? Oooh he couldn’t wait to find out! If by some odd chance things fell through with the enchanting Lucy Keller, there was always the possibility of her lovely friend. Maybe there was a bright side to this occurring discussion; he had a moment to covertly check out his next target. Talk about a perfect opportunity! Nick Green was in a particularly good mood today, actually he was in a relatively good mod everyday. But today seemed like a day where he’d be in a very good mood. Why? Well for starter’s he had a free period, the same one he’d had since the beginning of the year to be exact, and he got to see his incredibly beautiful girlfriend. Could it get any better than that? He didn’t think so! It wasn’t until he’d walked into the lunchroom and found Angela that he stopped his good mood plummeting significantly as he sawsomeone checking out his girlfriend. Only checking out would be too nice a word, this guy wasn’t just checking Angela out. From his vantage point it was more like the jerk was undressing Angela with his eyes. Although to be honest he was probably overreacting. He didn’t doubt for a second that Angela would leave him. But he wasn’t really worried about what Angela would do he knew she could handle herself. What really rubbed him wrong was the way that jerk was all but drooling over his girlfriend. It was disgusting! Pulling himself out his dark violent thoughts he put a warm smile as he walked over towards Angela quietly sneaking up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist before planting a soft kiss on her cheek. True the display was a bit more open than his usual greeting but he had to represent his status and make a point to show that Angela was taken. Smirking her nuzzled her neck affectionately his green eyes all but sending a death glare towards the jerk that had dared to visually assault his girlfriend before a jolt of recognition zipped through him. Hey he’d seen that twerp flailing about somewhere before..maybe it had been in duel club. That was where he’d seen this kid. Cameron Connors! That was his name. Odd he looked different form the last time he’d seen him. Frowning in thought Nick contented himself with holding Angela for a few moments before he shook himself out of his thoughts. “Hi Angela. So..correct me if I’m wrong but is that guy Camera Connors?” he asked with a soft frown. He was almost positive but at the same time he wasn’t sure because the image he had of Cameron Connors was much wimpier than the polished and buffed version leading his best friend’s sister away. Cameron was knocked out of his covert(or maybe not so covert) checking out by the sight of Nick Green walking over and greeting his girlfriend. Oh the cute blond was taken. Fighting back a blush he hurriedly tore his gaze away from her and looked anywhere else that seemed appealing. He wasn’t going to lie he was very terrified of Nick Green. And he had good reason to be! He’d had made the unfortunate mistake of dueling against him once in P.E during his freshman year. Yea..that moment there had been enough to nearly ruin his high school reputation. Thankfully he’d bounced back fast and come back from that incident looking better than ever. That had been the moment the suave, handsome, undeniable Cameron Connor of today had been made. Thankfully he was saved from any further embarrassment by the conversation between Lucy and her friends being adjourned. Thank goodness they’d come to a decision. Hearing Lucy stammer out an apology in that soft sweet voice of hers he gave her a warm smile and shook off her apology. “Its fine, but please don’t call me Mr. Connors. You can call me Cameron provided I get to call you Lucy. Does that sound ok?” he asked his eyes brightening as he picked up the flirty tone of her voice. While waiting for a reply he lead her to his usual table. |
Lucy grinned and followed Cameron, vaguely excited to be doing something with a boy. It was... daring. "Well, you called my Ms. Keller. It's only right that I reply back the same way. But alright, we have a deal. You call me Lucy and I'll call you Cameron" she answered and sat across from Cameron, yet she could easily move to sit next to him if she so chose to.
"By the way... if you want to woo me and capture my heart, my suggestion would be to not look at my best friend instead. It doesn't exactly win you points. I will ignore it this one time. After that, it starts counting against you" she added, adding a light wink at the end. "So... now what? You might find this surprising... but I've never actually been alone with a boy before" she asked. She blushed with embarrassment and looked down. Why in the world did she do that? Now he's going to think she's some freak, or something. But wait... why did she care what he thought of her? |
Cameron chuckled lightly and shook his head. “Actually, I called you Ms. Lucy. It was polite but not too formal. Although if you’d like I could be formal.” he offered with a warm grin after he’d held her chair out for her. Once she was settled he went and sat down across from her.
So far things were good, actually they were going great! He’d just opened his mouth to start a polite yet fun conversation only to freeze up completely as she broached the subject of his looking at her friend. She’d seen that?! He could have sworn her hadn’t been that obvious about it…she was bluffing! That was all there was to it, he could be secretive, heck he’d been secretive for three full years in middle school. How could he have not retained those valuable lessons?! He could deny it, but if he denied it then he’d be lying and if she thought he was a liar then she’d leave. And he couldn’t let that happen. He’d never had a girl just up and run…he’d say she couldn’t do that but that was another lie. He wasn’t necessarily holding her here against her will…not that he’d eve need to hold any girl hostage to get her attention. Seeing her wink though he instantly relaxed a soft chuckle escaping as his cheeks flushed a slight red. “Right. I will definitely remember that in the future. For the record though I happen to think you’re much cuter.” he offered with a flirtatious smile. His eyes widened as she admitted to this being her first time alone with a guy. It surprising-not that he thought she was the type to spend all her time draped over some guys arm, but because she was so pretty how could she not have been swamped by guys eager to get her attention already? “Wow that is surprising. I hate to burst your bubble, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call this really and truly alone. I mean we’re surrounded by other people, they just aren’t sitting with us.” he pointed out solemnly. Laughing he gave her another bright teasing smile before he spoke again. “You’re innocence is still in tact.” he joked. |
Lucy chuckle "you have no idea. But, according to my brother, this is intensely alone. I will warn you... you should feel lucky that my brother has another lunch period... he's, uh... he's the reason why you hardly ever see me around with a boy. If you do, it's either because he's one of Andrew's friends, or Andrew hadn't found out yet" she admitted. She still refused to look at him, and simply picked at her lunch. Her face was a bright red from embarrassment. Wow... she was experiencing a whole new range of emotions with Cameron. The urge to flirt, embarrassment... attraction? She wasn't exactly sure how to respond to it.
|
How adorable! She was shy and not hugely shy but shy enough that she blushed and tried to hide away from him. She was so different from the other girls he dated and flirted with. Unlike them she hadn’t thrown herself at his feet and she hadn’t come to find him. He’d had to find her; he’d had to speak to her. For once he was actually having to but more effort into getting the girl. And he wasn’t annoyed, any other time if he’d had to go through method such as this he would have been slightly irked but right now he felt very…accomplished. It was a different feeling but al the same it was a rather nice feeling…
“I do feel lucky, but not for the reason you’re telling me I should. I feel lucky because you agreed to have lunch with me. Personally, I think that’s a much better reason to feel lucky. Don’t you?” he asked with a curious tilt of his head. Heh, a few moments ago he’d just said this was her luck moment, lucky chance and instead it seemed like the opposite. He’d never believed in luck, not really. It was just chance wasn’t it? So why did it feel like he’d found luck in the form of a person? He’d found…Lucky Lucy. That’s who he’d found! Oh wow..thank goodness he hadn’t said that out loud! He’d said some very corny things to impress a girl but that one had to be the corniest one of all! There was no way he was going to say that particular thought out loud! It wasn’t until she mentioned her brother’s name that a jolt zapped through him. Wait..Andrew Keller?! Lucy was his sister? But she was nothing like him! She wasn’t into dueling and she wasn’t…well she wasn’t like her brother. He’d just leave it at that. She was the complete opposite of her brother. Still…he was flirting with Andrew Keller’s sister? It was both terrifying and hilarious. Terrifying because once Andrew heard who his sister was hanging around with he’d come hunting him down to kick some serious butt. And hilarious because very few people dared to go against Andrew Keller’s word, he was prince (more like king actually) of the school and no one wanted go against their charming princes word. Not that he was one of those people; personally he minded his own business. His business being himself and all the cute and lovely girls that wanted his attention, or in Lucy’s case the random girl who happened to catch his attention. Shaking himself out of his thoughts he gave Lucy a warm smile before he spoke. “That’s silly. Have you ever thought about going against him and hanging out with a guy you fancy?” he asked before starting to poke at his own food. |
Lucy shrugged "I guess. Back when I first started high school. Most people see my brother, see me around him, and either assume that I'm dating him or are too intimidated by him to try and even flirt with me, let alone ask me out. I suppose whenever someone got enough guts to talk to me in a familiar way, I fought him on it. I guess I didn't fight him too fiercely, but still" she admitted and took a bite of her salad. "But, I'm also one of those people that just submits to his will. Probably because I haven't found anyone worth fighting him for. We'll see how you work out" she finished, giving Cameron a grin. She kind of liked this guy.
|
Well if half those people had seen Andrew duel then it was no wonder they were intimidated by the guy! He wasn’t just fierce when it came to dueling, he was downright terrifying. Good thing Cameron had learned he wasn’t a dueler earlier on in his high school years. Sad to say his own power wasn’t exactly made for dueling. . Then again who needed dueling? It was such a violent sport….and it took work. Needless to say Cameron Connors wasn’t renowned for being a hard worker. Although if the right person came along then that could be a different story, it all depended on what or who interested him. If he was intrigued enough then one didn’t have to worry about pushing him to work. But if he found said subject or person boring then you were in for a battle of wills. One of his less attractive qualities was his stubbornness.
As Lucy started talking again, Cameron’s opinion of her changed once again. He took back his earlier thoughts about her being shy. She wasn’t shy exactly, she was more…gentle natured? He wasn’t sure how to explain it, she didn’t have a problem talking and she did seem adorably timid but it went so much deeper than that. There was more to her than he’d thought in those first few minutes of talking with her. “Does it bother you? I mean surely it has to get a little aggravating when your older brother consciously or unconsciously interferes with your social life. If I had any siblings-older or younger- that did that to me I’m pretty sure I’d end up blowing up at them.” He pointed out with a soft nod. But not Lucy, she didn’t look or seem like the type to lose her cool. She seemed so calm despite the way things went with her social life. Hearing her comment about a guy worth fighting for Cameron couldn’t help but laugh. Ha! He was worth it, things were going to work out wonderfully with them. This wasn’t going to be some casual romance and it wasn’t going to be brief or short like his other relationships. This one-once it got started that is- was going to last for a while. He’d make it last and he’d enjoy every moment of it and he’d show Lucy he was a guy worth fighting for. Just to prove a point though, and so he could learn more about her. So far Lucy seemed like a very interesting girl. After taking another bite of his lunch he answered a confident grin gracing his features. “We’ll see…” he agreed while inwardly changing that ‘we’ll’ to a ‘you’ll’. She’d see in the end that he was well worth fighting for. |
Lucy smiled at Cameron. She liked him. He was... intriguing. But what was his motive? Would this be the last time that she spoke with him? She had to know. "So tell me, Cameron, why are you doing this? You have a group of fan girls, and my twin brother is overprotective. You never even looked twice at me before... why now?" she asked. She almost hated to admit it, knowing how much of a playboy he is, but she wanted to defy her brother. She wanted to fight him so Cameron could chase her. She... wanted to, dare she say it? Date him. Maybe nothing serious, but she it. She'd never wanted to oppose Andrew before. Now, all of a sudden, she did.
|
Cameron’s smile dimmed slightly as she questioned his motives. His motives weren’t bad, it wasn’t like he was going to sleep with her and then leave her. He wasn’t that type of playboy. Why? Well it was just wrong, and I was messy and there were so many nasty illnesses he could get from it. But honestly, it just felt wrong. It was one thing to smile and flirt and make a girl feel special for a while but to take his talents farther than that and use them in more personal manners? No. He couldn’t and wouldn’t do that to a girl. His parents had raised him better than that; they’d showed him how to treat a girl the right way. And his dad had gone even further than that to show him how to really wow a girl. Not that he always used his teachings to the fullest extent, then again he’d never had to work that hard to impress a girl. Until now it seemed.
Shaking his head softly he pulled himself out of his thoughts and gave her another bright smile its intensity not dimming this time as he leaned forward. “To be honest, you’re different. You’re not like my fan girls who seem to fall over themselves when I walk by. And you don’t brazenly throw yourself at me, I had to come to you versus the way things are usually done.” he explained allowing himself to stare deep into her eyes. He was being completely honest but he wasn’t done. Not yet. “And the last thing, you interest me unlike other girls. You’re real.” he explained his eyes widening slightly at his own honesty. That’s what it was! She wasn’t pretending to be anyone else, she wasn’t pretending to not find interest in him, so far she’d been pretty straight forward about her feelings-not that she’d said anything other than she wanted to see where things went. And that meant something! Shoot! Aria was running later, how could she have missed the first part of her lunch already? Heck how could she have kept her friends waiting that long? She’d told Angela and the rest of the gang she’d only be in the library for a few minutes but somehow time had just flown by while she was browsing through the shelves of books. She’d started off just looking for books pertaining to dancing and music but then she’d found something else that just blew her mind. Like all girls she had her guilty pleasure. The dreaded romance novel, hey try as she might there was just no denying them! They were like chocolate only better for you. And it gave her some experience in the dating world…ok so it didn’t but if she ever decided to start dating and throw her cautions to the wind then she could use everything she’d learned from romance novels. Not that she believed everything she’d read…like if there was one thing that got her goat it was how the guy always went chasing after the girl when she was in danger. Was there something wrong with letting a girl try to handle her problems on her own before he went charging in on his big white horse? Some girls didn’t need to be rescued, not that they didn’t want to be rescued from time to time… Bringing herself back into the real world, Aria held the tiny treasure trove of books she’d held and picked her pace but running to the lunchroom. Late! She was so late. Skidding around the corner she paused outside the lunch room to catch her breath before she stepped into the lunchroom her gaze automatically searching out her group of new friends. Unlike the rest of them she hadn’t been attending school in this town since childhood. As a matter of fact she’d just transferred here a few days ago. It’d been a little rough but with Angela and her friends it wasn’t so hard. If was hard to not feel happy around this particular group. After she’d rounded the corner, Aria’s face lit up with a warm happy smile as she spotted her friends at their usual table. Sadly the smile wasn’t on Aria’s face for long as another more reclusive member of their group flew by in an obvious rush her taller, much more slender figure roughly collided with Aria in her rush to get the other girls. Immediately Aria’s grip on her books loosened as she tried to catch her balance, once her firm grip on the books had loosened they hit the floor with a loud thud and Aria followed shortly after. Wincing slightly Aria stayed on the floor trying to gather bearings and ignore the stinging of her pride. Oh that had been graceful! She was a ballerina and yet she’d broken the first rule of being a ballerina. Always look graceful. Grimacing Aria gathered up her books before she stood up ignoring the throbbing of her backside as she gathered her remaining dignity and went to meet her friends. Katerina was fully aware of what she’d done to Aria. And she didn’t care. It wasn’t her fault if little Miss prima ballerina didn’t know how to get out of the way! And besides the other girl’s reaction had been worth it! Sh ehadn’t looked like a ballerina in the least! She’d looked so funny! Smirking she tried to look apologetic and even somewhat angelic but it was kind hard for Katerina to pull off considering the humor dancing in her eyes. Tossing her dark brown nearly black hair over her shoulder she turned away from Aria and hurried towards her friends, actually these girls weren’t her friends. They were her…accomplices. Provided she ever got them to cross the line of good and join the dark side! If she was lucky Kat would have forgotten those damned pills today and she’d be able to have some real fun next period in P.E. Plopping her slender figure into a near bye chair she greeted her best friend. “Hi Kat, so what would you say if I gave you a chance to come and play with big kids next period? I’ve got this kick-butt prank planned for the Irish dork in P.E! You’ll never believe what I heard while walking past the herbology class room that dork likes gardening! He’s a flipping pansy! Literally!” she blurted out a full out belly laugh escaping. “Really, he’s as gay as they come! One of the other girls got their hands our supplies. Come on Kat….come play with me. Please? Its no fun without you. I need your dark side to help me with my plans. It doesn’t seem original enough. Please say you’ll help me?” she begged putting her best puppy dog expression on as she looked up at her friend. |
Lucy looked down, allowing her long hair to attempt to hide the blush that was creeping to her cheeks. "Well... I'm glad to hear that I'm real. I'd hate to be imaginary" she joked. Yeah, it was a lame joke, but she didn't particularly care right now. What was she supposed to do now? She knew nothing about these types of situation. It's not like she actually had any practice. "So... um... what happens... uh... now?" she asked, hoping the playboy would at least figure something out.
Andrew walked into the cafeteria. He was in the office most of the time during this period, so he was delivering summons to the office. What he saw as he was leaving, though, was not a happy sight. Lucy, his sister Lucy, was sitting with Cameron Connors. Why? He scanned the room and found everyone else a few tables away from Lucy. Alright... what was going on? he must've somehow snagged her before she'd joined the group, because there's no way they'd let him take her away. Wait a minute... was she blushing!? That is unacceptable! He stood there for awhile, torn between his duty to return to the office and going over there to tear Lucy away from the playboy. Eventually, he decided it shouldn't take too long, so he strode over to her and slid into the seat next to Lucy. "Hey" he greeted her casually. He could never actually be angry at her. She was his sister, she was perfect. Lucy looked at the newcomer in horror. Her eyes darted back to Cameron and then finally settled on Andrew again. She gave him a weak smile "hey" she answered. "What are you doing over here? Angela and Aria are probably missing you. You should go sit with them" he suggested and stood up, pulling Lucy with him. He sent a death glare to Cameron "try that again, and you'll regret it" he growled and the pulled Lucy away. Lucy knew better than to argue with her brother, so she simply followed him. But that didn't stop her from looking back and giving Cameron a small smile. Andrew placed Lucy down in the empty seat at the approved table "Look who I just found. Do me a favor and keep her with you" he asked before heading back to the office. Lucy just sighed and watched Andrew walk away, every now and then, her eyes darting to Cameron. Kat listened to her friend ask her to participate in a prank. But she'd taken her pills today, so that wasn't something she should do... but it was the right thing to be with her friend... right? Kat bit her lip and looked down. "Well... I... I don't know... doesn't that sound a bit mean? I mean... you're always tormenting him. But... I suppose... if you really want me there, I'll be there, but only if you're the only one that does it. I don't think it's right to torture him so much" she answered timidly. Angela was about to talk greet Aria when Andrew showed up and delivered Lucy. Wait... what? She turned to Aria and smiled encouragingly at her and then turned to Lucy "well, did you enjoy spending time with Cameron?" she asked. Lucy blushed and nodded. "Aria, where were you earlier?" she asked her friend. |
Poor Lucy, she was completely lost as of to just where they went from here. He knew but he didn’t just want to come out and say it. He wanted to jazz it up a little, he just wasn’t sure how to do that. For once in his life he didn’t know how to do what he did best. One of the reasons girls liked him so much was because of his flowery way of saying things. He didn’t jus state them he said things in a rather long winded fashion-he didn’t know why but apparently girls liked that. And he liked girls so as much as it annoyed him at times to try and find the right words to impress a girl he would and often did what ever it took to get the girl. But something was bugging him…he’d just called Lucy real but what about him? Was it right for him to try and get her to date someone that wasn’t even remotely as real and as down to earth as Lucy? It seemed wrong…Frowning he thought it over for a moment before he answered Lucy’s questions tossing his usual training and cautions to the wind. “Now I take you out on a date. Or rather I ask you on a date.” He explained giving her a soft smile. If she got nothing else form him at least she’d have some idea about how the whole dating thing worked. “So Lovely Lucy, what do you say? Would you like to go out with me this Friday?” he asked.
While waiting for a reply, Cameron kept his eyes focused on Lucy. He couldn’t help but be in slight awe of her beauty. He’d noticed it before but that had been froma cross the room and now..well now she was right in front of him and it was just..well a little shocking. How could he have missed her?! Why hadn’t he went and found her sooner? If he had then things would have been very different between them. They wouldn’t be sitting here going through the ever awkward getting to know you phase of a relationship and he wouldn’t be sitting here thinking all these ludicrous thoughts- His thoughts stopped as he noticed the look of out right horror on Lucy’s face. Uh oh, had he done something wrong, or had he moved too fast? Following her gaze it was then that he realized his lucky streak had come to a sudden and startling end. Uh oh…they’d been spotted! Abort mission! Ruuuuunnnnnnnn!!!!!! Biting back a terrified squeak he sunk downward into the safety of his seat as Lucy’s terrifying older brother towered over him. He cringed hearing the low threat thrust forcefully his way and nodded to show he understood. Apparently he hadn’t understood it too well though because even as Lucy was walking away…he couldn’t help but try and think of different ways he could get her alone so he could get that date. And so he could talk to her more. Those few minutes they’d had before Andrew showed up hadn’t been enough. He needed more time. And dang it! He was going to get it. Andrew Keller wasn’t in charge of everyone at this school and he certainly had no say over who Cameron Connors spoke with. With that thought in mind, Cameron pushed aside his initial fear of Lucy’s older brother and sat up straight trying to regain the few points of dignity he’d just lost when he’d tried to hide from Andrew. While doing this, he was pleasantly surprised to see Lucy looking back in his direction every now and then. Which could only mean one thing….actually it meant several things but right now he was more focused on the fact that she couldn’t stop looking at him and that she seemed to dislike the prince’s ruling every bit as much as he had. There fore he still had a chance, he could and would get that date he’d asked for! Katerina groaned loudly before leaning forward and let her head thunk painfully against the table. Why?! Was it so much to ask that someone just take those damned pills and flush them down the toilet? They did more harm than good! Kat wasn’t some goody little toe shoes. No! She was her evil, devious, trouble making best friend. And she missed her! It felt like it had been ages since she’d actually pulled off a good prank without getting read the riot act from Little Miss Angelic (Kat) and her loyal followers (the others). Sighing she sat up and brushed her hair out of her face. “Kat. Listen to me. This is your best friend talking. Fight the good side. Ditch her tell her to take a hike. I don’t care. Get rid of her.” She begged softly. Her eyes narrowed softly in anger as Kat spoke up again. “Oh please. Like you give a rat’s ass about what’s right! You’ve been taking those pills and hanging out with losers like little Miss Perfect.” she muttered darkly pointing a finger at Angela before she stood up. “You know what fine, forget it. I don’t need you to pull off a decent prank. I can do it all by myself.” Aria winced slightly as she settled into a chair between her two best friends carefully setting her books on the table well out of Katerina’s grasp. Once assured that they were safe she gave the ranting girl a dark glare, she didn’t hate Katerina no she just...disliked her a lot. Since day one Aria had to put up with her teasing and by now she was right short of reaching her breaking point. There was difference between friendly teasing and flat out bullying. Shaking her head she lifted a slender hand to brush a stray strand of hair out of her face and turned her attention to Angela and Lucy hearing one of them ask where she was. “I was in the library..I was looking for a book on ballet but I got distracted. I’m sorry I left you guys..err girls waiting.” she apologized. |
Lucy smiled at Aria and simply tried to ignore Katerina "don't even worry about it" she encouraged. "How did things go with Cameron?" Angela asked. Lucy blushed deeply "well... they were going just great when Andrew showed up and ruined it. He asked me out, actually" she answered. Angela squealed with delight "what did you say!?" she asked. Lucy couldn't help but smile "I couldn't answer. Andrew showed up before... I could tell him yes" she admitted. Angela's face lit up with delight and she turned to Aria "Oh my gosh! did you hear that!?" she squealed and then turned back to Lucy "well, catch up with him after lunch! You have class together, right?" she asked. Lucy nodded "are you sure? Andrew might see" she asked. "We'll take care of Andrew. You catch up with him and tell him your answer!" Angela encouraged. Lucy blushed again and giggled "alright" she agreed. Just then, the bell rang, indicating the end of lunch. Lucy was practically pushed out of her chair "go get him!" Angela giggled.
Katherine frowned as she watched Katerina rant and rave. Katerina just didn't understand... it hurt when she didn't take her pills. She got such splitting headaches when her powers ran wild. Katherine looked down and fought the tears as she quietly made her way to gym. Lucy spotted Cameron and caught up with him just before he left the cafeteria. She slipped her hand into his. "I'm sorry about that. I'd... I'd really like to go out with you on Friday" she told him, giving him a shy smile. |
Apparently Aria’s time in the library had caused her to miss out on some major going ons in her friends life. Frowning softly listened to Angela question Lucy about her time with Cameron. Who? She felt like she should know that name but it just wasn’t ringing a bell. “Uh..I’m sorry but whom are you two talking about? I feel like I should know but I’ve got nothing.” She admitted hesitantly. She didn’t think she had a Cameron in any of her classes…then again she shared most of her classes with either Lucy or Angela so it wasn’t like she was at a loss for someone to talk to in any of them.
Hearing that Lucy had been asked out by this Cameron fellow Aria let out a soft squeal of joy, she’d just opened her mouth to ask what her response had been but Angela beat her to the punch. Her lips ormed a soft ‘o’ of surprise as Lucy announced that her brother had put a stop to the conversation before her friend could agree. She didn’t bother hiding her scoff of annoyance. “Really! I’m beginning to wonder if Andrew has a social life of his own. Does he take pride in cutting you off from certain people? Just who does he think he is? Just because some girls refer to him as ‘Prince’ Andrew doesn’t make him a prince and even then he has no control over you. I think you should go find Cameron and tell him yes.” She said firmly while nodding in agreement with Angela. Chortling she watched as Angel enthusiastically pushed Lucy off in the direction of her potential date. “You’re terrible you know that right? One would find it hard to believe that you’ve got a love life of your own as much as you meddle in others.” she teased softly as she stood up gathering her trash and other belongings preparing to head off to her next class: P.E. Holding in a groan she gave Angela a quick hug. “Alright I’m off to P.E, I’ll see you and Lucy later. If you see here before I do make sure you get her to tell you everything ok?” she demanded giving Angela a playful poke in the side before she left going in the opposite direction from her friend to get to P.E. on time. After Nick had successfully scared off Cameron Connors he stayed quiet for the remainder of lunch. It wasn’t until after Angela’s other friends had departed that he spoke up wrapping his arms around his girlfriend’s waist and pulling her close. “Don’t you think it’s a bad idea to encourage Lucy to go out with him? Andrew obviously doesn’t like him. You know Andrew, theres a good reason behind his refusing Lucy the choice to see him. She could get hurt…” he murmured placing a soft kiss on her cheek before he pulled away gently taking her hand in his and tugging. “Come on, I’ll walk you to class.” He offered with a sweet smile. Scowling, Katerina threw her hands up in obvious outrage as the bell ran signaling the end of lunch. Giving her friend one last scathing glare she stomped off the gym taking the long way around so she could be late. Yet despite her efforts, Katerina still managed to make it on time. Muttering darkly she started to enter the gym only to look up in startled surprise as she saw a familiar face. A very handsome familiar face… Looking at the owner of the face an idea started to click into place. Kat wasn’t going to give up those blasted pills on her own and she wasn’t going to give them up for her best friend. But what if she gave them up for a guy? Hmm..this plan could work wonderfully. Still it needed more planning. She wasn’t some amateur trouble maker. Oh no she was much better than that. “Well well…look who decided to grace me with his presence today.” she teased softly as she leaned against the wall next to him. “You wouldn’t happen to have another cigarette on you would you?” she asked in a low seductive purr. Liam Mason rolled his eye shearing the familiar breathy purr of Katerina. “Call me crazy but it doesn’t like you need a cigarette or anything else to light your fire.” He mused with a soft smirk as he took a draw from his cigarette and exhale slowly watching as the smoke drifted around them before slowly spiraling upwards. “Besides, what makes you think I’m gracing you with my presence today? I could have decided to take road less traveled and actually attend my classes today. Is that such a shocker?” he asked his English accent becoming a bit more noticeable as he scoffed at Katerina’s confidence. “Not every boy is eager to get into your pants, ya know.” He murmured softly before digging out another cigarette for her and handing over his lighter. Katerina’s eyes narrowed softly as he rebuked her, glaring at him she snatched the cigarette and lighter out of his grasp expertly lighting up before tossing the unneeded item back to him. Taking a grateful draw she exhaled and shook her head. “Don’t flatter yourself. As if I’d let you or any other half wit boy at this school get into my pants. You’re cute….but I don’t want cute.” She said with a devious smirk. “But..I might know someone who’d like your English charm…” she mused before going ahead and explaining the beginning of her plan. Of course she left out a few details here and there. It wasn’t like he needed to know everything about Kat. He just needed to know the bare basics. After Andrew’s unexpected appearance the last Cameron had expected was for Lucy to come and find him. He’d been expecting he’d have to go to her like he had the first time around. It would make sense, after all her brother had looked pretty frightening there for a moment. Then again Andrew hadn’t been putting on that intimidating expression for his sister, he’d been putting that one on for Cameron. It wasn’t like Cameron didn’t understand the reason behind it but honestly! He’d never purposely hurt a girls feeling. True he’d dated around and hopped form girl to girl but he’d always managed to end the relationship on semi decent terms! He wasn’t known for being a jerk he was just known for being a bit of a flirt…ok a really big flirt. But he only flirted with girls once he’d ended the previous relationship! So what exactly was Andrew’s deal? He wasn’t going to hurt Lucy, definitely not considering who she was related to. Sheesh he wasn’t stupid enough to put his beautiful face on the line for the sake of any girl. Still there was no hiding the widening of his pretty blue eyes as Lucy’s tiny hand slid into his larger one. Aww…that smile was just too cute for words. Grinning he gave her hand a gentle squeeze as he walked her to class. “Its ok. You have no idea how happy it makes me to hear that. What would you like to do? Would you like to go to dinner and a movie? Or if you’d like could we could go to one of those karaoke places that are so popular today. “ he offered with an excited grin. |
Angela smiled softly at Nick "I know he has his reasons. At any given moment you could shatter my heart, but Andrew still trusts you. The thing about relationships, is they're risky, but they are essential. She likes him, he likes her, and I'll electrocute him if he hurts her. But I was her to experience love, so she at least knows what it's like. Just please... don't tell Andrew about them, ok? Keep an eye on them if you have to, but don't tell Andrew. Give them a chance to see how things are going. Lucy loves her brother more than anyone. The fact that she's willing to defy him to be with him speaks volumes. Let her experience love" she asked as they walked to her English class.
Kevin sighed as he watched the bane of his existence light up a cigarette. Really? on school property? In the school itself? Did she want to be suspended? He walked over to them and used a vine to pull the cigarettes away so he could smash them and throw them away "if you're going to smoke, do it after school. As much as I'm sure you'd love to get suspended so you wouldn't have to go to school, you wouldn't be able to torture me like you always love to do. I'd hate for you to be unhappy" he told Katerina and stalked off. Lucy beamed up at him "I don't mind. Dinner and a movie sounds fun. If you'd like, we can get dinner at that karaoke place, I don't really mind. I've never done this dating thing, so I'm completely in your hands. Just make sure your fangirls don't kill me" she answered as they entered class, noting the amount of girls glaring at Lucy. Maybe holding Cameron's hand wasn't as good idea as she originally thought. Still, instead of pulling away from him, she tightened her grip on his hand and stepped closer to him. Strange... why should she be afraid of them? |
“I could but you and I both know I wouldn’t do that. You’re the only girl for me Angela. You’ve known that from the start.” Nick argued with a soft huff as he tightened his grip on her hand just the slightest bit as he lead her through the hallways. “I know relationships are risky but that boy has a reputation. He doesn’t date the same girl longer than a week at the most. He’s a player, sure the girls all smile and trip over themselves when he walks past but that doesn’t hide the fact that he toys with them to get what he wants. The fact that’s he chasing after our sweet Lucy right now is very concerning. Lucy’s great I know that but I don’t think she has anything that Cameron would want and if she does…then what exactly does he want from her?” he asked with a low sigh of aggravation as heard Angela ask a favor of him. “Aww come on! I can’t do that to him, and its not like he won’t find out eventually…seriously I can’t hide this from him. He’ll find out and then he’ll murder me and then Cameron. And that leaves you without a boyfriend. You don’t want that now do you?” he asked with a wry grin as they reached her English class. He pondered her suggestion a few more moments before he caved. “Alright, fine. Since you asked….I won’t say anything. But if Andrew finds out we’re going to be in big trouble.” He reminded her pressing a soft tender kiss to her lips.
Katerina had just started to take another draw from her cigarette when it was suddenly snatched out of her grasp by a rogue vine. Her gaze narrowed as she found the controller of the vine taking particular joy in smashing her cigarette.” Funny, Mr. Pansy has suddenly grown a pair. He thinks just because he can control a wimpy little weed that he’s a someone now. “she mused with a dangerous chuckle as she watched him stalked off in the direction of the gym. Oh no she couldn’t have him running off soon, the fun was just beginning! Chuckling she sent a well placed gust of wind at the open door of the gym easily slamming the door on Kevin’s retreating backside. She’d waited until he’d just stepped past the doors before snapping them shut with a loud clatter. “Did you hear that Liam? He’d hate for me to be unhappy….I think I detected a bit of sarcasm. Do you think he knows his sarcasm is a weak as the rest of him?” she asked as the tardy bell rang before she made her way towards the locker room after giving Liam a distracted wave. Already she was wrapped up in the preparations for her newest prank for Mr.Pansy. Ohhh this was going to be fun. Despite the fact that her cigarette had been wasted her mood was bouncing back relatively fast. Cameron laughed hearing Lucy’s concern about his fan girls killing her. “You don’t have to worry about them. They’re relatively harmless. They’d have to get through me to get to you.” He said reassuringly He wasn’t kidding his fans were harmless but on the off chance they did decide to try and harm Lucy they’d have to get through him. He was fiercely protective of the girls he dated but none of those girls had been Lucy. He didn’t just want to protect Lucy he wanted erase her worries of his fan girls completely but he wasn’t sure how to do that. He couldn’t just ask his fan girls to go away…could he? He could but then he’d be all alone. With Lucy. Gulping he gave her another smile and squeezed her hand reassuringly. “Like I said you’ve got nothing to worry about. So on Friday we’re keeping it simple with dinner at the karaoke place right?” he prompted softly. |
Angela grinned as she happily kissed back, but she still had something to say. Nick had a valid point and she wanted to reassure him. "I take full responsibility of my actions, and if he gets upset with you, tell him that you were obeying your girlfriend because you love her so much. I know full well of Cameron's reputation, so I'm going to watch him like a hawk. If you want, you could watch him as a hawk" she joked. She let her words sink in before she continued "I wouldn't be making such a big deal about this if I didn't know her. She wants to be with him and she'll never learn if she doesn't experience it. It's not my fault the person she wants to experience it with is Cameron" she finished before she slipped away so he could get to class on time.
Kevin fought back the wince as the doors shut behind him. He would have to be extra careful today, and especially watchful of his locker. Still, if he planned it just right, maybe he could get away unscathed... well... at least too much. Why did she do this to him? Just because he didn't care for dueling, he was branded for life as a target for target practice!? Well... hmm... he could probably thrash her in PE today. He is a very powerful herbologist and water makes his power even stronger. Hmmm... just because he didn't have much practice in dueling doesn't mean he didn't know how. Lucy nodded "that sounds great. What time are you picking me up?" she asked, keeping a wary eye on the girls that were glaring at her. Unfortunately, she knew for a fact that some of those girls were in her English class nest period. What would be worse, is if they were doing one of those horrible projects where they had to pair up or something. Out of curiosity, Lucy pulled out her class schedule and widened her eyes in horror. Their activity of the day required them to be paired off, and to be paired off for about a week or so. One of those weird life experiences activities. |
Nick scoffed softly as Angela offered to take the brunt of Andrew’s anger and shook his head. “Yea right, I’m not going to do that. He might get mad at me but he’ll get over it eventually. Besides its not like he can protect Lucy from every guy.” He said with a soft sigh. He chuckled softly hearing Angela joke and nodded. “I could do that…actually I might do that. That way everyone’s happy.” he mused softly before going quiet as Angela explained her reasoning. As always she had a point. “Alright fine, you win. I’ll do what I can to help.” he murmured stealing another quick sweet kiss before he hurried off to P.E.
Katerina took her time changing into her P.E. clothes. By the time she’d finished she could hear the coach blowing his whistle and rounding everyone up only to send them off into pairs for a little dueling. Ahh..perfect. She quietly and stealthily made her way over to the boy’s locker room a faint smirk gracing her features as she peeked inside. All clear! Katerina didn’t bother holding in her laughter as she walked over to Kevin’s locker, giving the lock a few expert twists she popped it open and proceeded with her prank carelessly tossing his clothes out and replacing them with the girls clothing (including undergarments) she’d bought just for him before she left taking his clothes with her. Running back into the girl’s locker room she deposited them into her locker before heading into the actual gym ready to duel. ’I can’t wait until P.E. is over. I want to see his reaction. I bet he’ll start crying…’ she thought as she waited to be paired off. “How about 7:30?” Cameron offered as he led Lucy into the classroom. The majority of his fan girls dispersed with heartfelt sighs as they headed off to their own classes. Although their unwanted departures might not have been the only reason they were sighing. True to form Cameron couldn’t help but give them a wave goodbye..and ok so maybe he blew a few harmless air kisses in their direction but it was out of habit! Chuckling at one girls unfortunate-she’d nearly walked into the door- he turned his attention back to Lucy in time to catch her horrified expression as she glanced down at their schedule. Stepping closer he leaned against her just the faintest bit as he read over his shoulder. “Oh….well that should make for an interesting assignment.” |
"Whatever we have to do, let's just pray that it isn't anything would make my brother upset... oh wait, this is health class and we're about to have some life experiences, of course he'll be upset. With my luck I"ll end up pregnant or something stupid like that" Lucy groaned as she settled into her seat next to Cameron. "Alright, class, listen up. I've paired you all up and you will be staying with that partner for the rest of the year, as we will be focusing more and more on these life experiences projects" the teacher announced and began calling off the pairs. Hearing that she and Cameron were paired up, she leaned over to speak to him "I promise to attend your funeral" she promised, a sober look on her face. When they received their assignment, Lucy groaned "great... I get pregnant, get married, and have a baby, in that order. Andrew's not just going to kill you, he's going to kill me!" she exclaimed, indicating the slip of paper in front of them.
"Alright, you have three weeks to complete each assignment, one week for each part. You will write up a response for each experience and compile that into a report to hand in at the end of three weeks. Both you and your partner will have to write up an individual report explaining the individual reactions and how you personally dealt with it, and then a report on how you dealt with it as a couple and how any extra people involved reacted and dealt with the news. On your assignments, you might notice the need for special equipment, come see me after class today and I will give those over to you" the teacher explained. Lucy took another look at the assignment, noticing that she was supposed to get a device that will not only make her look pregnant, she was going to feel pregnant. they also would be getting a lifelike doll that they would have to be caring for at the very end after they've had the baby "lovely... you've got to love a school for gifteds" she commented and slumped in her chair, resting her head on her desk. Oh good, Kevin would be dueling Katerina today. Granted, Katerina was an experienced dueler while he only ever dueled in gym class, but he still knew details about his power that others with the same power didn't know. He took botany very seriously. "Well, aren't you just excited. You get the chance to humiliate me in front of the whole class" he commented. Of course, with his luck, that would happen anyway. Hadn't he seen her sneak into the boy's locker room a little while ago? Well, too late now. Kevin got into a dueling stance "well... might as well get this over with" he commented, reaching for the essence of every plant life in the room... and there was actually quite a lot. |
After checking the class schedule Cameron had felt just a little bit nervous. Group assignment in health class, that couldn’t be good. He had a bad feeling about this….then again maybe he was just overreacting. Yea that was it. He was just feeling a small case of nerves about his date with Lucy. Odd but not completely impossible, he did feel a small case of jitters from time to time so that was it. He had nothing to be afraid of. “Don’t jinx yourself. I doubt it’ll be that bad. I bet you its going to be a fun assignment.” Cameron said soothingly as he settled into his seat next to Lucy. Sadly he was wrong. His assumptions that the assignment would be fun and safe was completely was completely wrong. Oh sure it’d be fun for the teacher that is. As for himself and Lucy….yea it wasn’t going to be so fun, especially not for him. Gulping he stared down at the slip of paper. “Great…is there any chance we could get into the witness protection service and hide form your brother? Or better yet maybe we could find a body guard?” he offered trying to keep his tone joking even though he was very much freaking out. He didn’t want to die! He was too young, and handsome! Seriously a face this handsome was not meant to be buried anytime soon! He still had a full life ahead of him…or he would if Andrew didn’t find out about him hypothetically getting Lucy pregnant.
Wait…hypothetically meaning fake as if in not realistically. There was no way the teacher was going to be able to outfit all of the female students with some get up that would make them look pregnant. So Lucy wouldn’t look pregnant meaning Andrew wouldn’t find out. He was going to live! Or so he thought. The teacher just had to rain on his parade by bringing up the mention of special equipment. Aww…come on! Why? Seriously the idea was to encourage students to play safe and not get pregnant. How was this lesson enforcing that exactly? Hearing Lucy’s comment he nodded in agreement. “I don’t know about you but right now, I just love our wonderful school full of gifteds.” he muttered with clear sarcasm as he slid down in his seat. Katerina’s day was beginning to shape up-not that it had been that bad to begin with. But still she couldn’t hide her joy and excitement at the possibility of kicking the pansy’s butt. Once all the pairs had been announced she all but bounced over to one of the training mats before taking a proper dueling stance her expression shifting from joyous to smug in a matter of seconds. “Again, I’m going to humiliate you again.” she clarified with a soft smirk. He was so gullible, she was going to humiliate him twice in a short period of time and he didn’t even see it coming. “Yes, let’s get this done. I’ve got bigger and better things to do.” She scoffed softly as she tosses out the first attack a strong gust of wind whipping out towards him. Aria’s expression was incredulous as she heard the assignment for P.E. Practice duels? Ok...she hadn’t expected that. She’d been expecting some more along the lines like running laps or doing a heap load of impossible stretches. Clearly, she’d been wrong. Dueling as if in the duels that happened in the Harry Potter movies? Nah she doubted it but it seemed similar in a way…. She jerked in surprise hearing the coach call out her own name and someone else’s -Andrew. Ok that was so bad. At least she knew him, well she knew him somewhat. She’d hung out with him and spoke with him a few times when she’d hung out with Lucy but that was it. She didn’t really know anything about him. She gave him a wan smile as she ran her fingers through her hair scooping the thick dark tresses up into some semblance of a ponytail as she walked towards an open practice mat. “So dueling…I take it you’re going to be really nice and explain the basics of it all before you kick my butt. Right?” she asked giving him a wry grin as she looked up at him waiting for some kind of an explanation. |
Lucy sighed heavily "well... I say our best bet is to make a clear attack strategy. This is an assignment for school. I'll talk to Andrew. For that reason, I think what we should do is tell my family first and then move onto yours. First off, we'll clearly explain to them that this is a school assignment and therefore fake, but we need them to react as realistically as possible so we can complete the assignment properly. Good news is, my dad's much better than Andrew and if we assure him that it's all fake, then he'll be on our side. Andrew's the only one that will kill us and with enough help we just might be able to calm his temper" she explained hopefully.
The coach gave the signal to begin, and instantly Kevin was moving. First, some vines to wrap around Katerina to immobilize her. He wouldn't be able to keep her there, but it would be enough for him to dodge out of the way of whatever she threw at him. He recalled her words about humiliating him again. She'd planned something. Today was going to suck. Hopefully, he'll completely thrash her and humiliate her first. He used his amulet (which allowed him to always have a plant to use nearby) and produced a whip as a weapon to prepare for when she came closer. Andrew grinned and walked over to Aria "sure, but I prefer the learn by doing method. Don't worry, I won't go too hard on you the first time. Here, get into a defensive position" he said and demonstrated what he wanted her in. Deciding her stance was a little off, he went behind her and began to fix it. "There. Now, dueling is rather simple. You fight until your opponent can no longer attack. The only rule is you can't seriously injure them, and you certainly can't kill them. Your power is sound, yes? do you know how to attack with it?" he asked as he moved to his side of the ring. |
Cameron stayed quiet as Lucy laid out the beginnings of their plan. Ok so far, so good. “That sounds good. I think you’re parents will handle it more uh..appropiately than mine would.” he admitted a faint blush covering his cheeks before it disappeared. Cameron wasn’t embarrassed by his parents or anything like that. He loved his parents it was just…well they had different views compared to most parents. Like this whole fake pregnancy, they wouldn’t be shocked or outraged. They’d be overjoyed! They wanted him to continue to the family line and in their opinion the sooner he got a girl pregnant the better. Why they thought this? He had no clue all he knew was that he was one hundred percent against that idea. And with this assignment they’d be egging him on that much more. Ok so his parents weren’t exactly normal there was nothing wrong with that. He was jarred out of his thoughts by the mention of calming Andrew’s temper. “We? You mean as if in I’ve got to contribute somehow?” he asked his usually masculine voice taking on a somewhat terrified squeak. You couldn’t blame him, the poor guy he’d seen Lucy’s brother in one of his outraged fits. It wasn’t something he wanted to be the cause of and he definitely did not want to have all that anger and ferocity thrown at him. He was a lover. Not a fighter. Seriously!
Katerina let loose a soft curse as the vines wrapped around her effectively immobilizing her. Scowling she wriggled about her brow furrowed as she concentrated sending several sharp whip like gusts of winds at the immobilizing vines until she’d managed to loosen them enough to slip out of their grasp. Honestly, if he thoughts he could beat her that easily…Katerina raised her hand and sent a blast of water in his direction. Too late, she realized her mistake and hurriedly summoned up a haphazard wind shield around her to block his next attack. Damn it, she’d just given him an edge! Water was good for plants and she’d given him a whopping dose of friggin’ water! Aria didn’t bother hiding her eye roll or concealing the soft snort that escaped. Puh lease, he didn’t believe in that method. He was like every other guy. He loved knocking a girl flat on her butt before hurrying to help her up just so he could look like a good guy. She watched him attentively paying close attention to the stance he took before she attempted taking the same position. Honestly she thought she had it before she felt him correcting her position just the slightest. Despite the reason behind his touching her, Aria couldn’t hide the faint blush coating her cheeks. Really! He could have just told her what was wrong and how to fix it rather than doing than that! “Next time, I’d appreciate it if you just told me how to fix it.” she pointed out stiffly. Call her crazy but she had a need for this wonderful little thing called personal space. As he explained dueling to her a bit more she regarded him with a cool gaze. She wasn’t completely clueless in this area, she’d heard her dad mention a few things about dueling here and there but he hadn’t ever elaborated. Oh well Andrew had just cleared up the small bit she didn’t know. She had no clue exactly how to attack with sound but she’d figure something out..after all she’d broken more than a few windows at home with her accidental screaming-this was what happened when you put Aria and a frog/lizard of any type in a room alone-. But she wasn’t going to tell Andrew this…she’d just play the dumb girl role to a T and surprise him. “Yea I control sound but I don’t really know how to attack with it..” she admitted lowering her eyes in what she hoped was a bashful and somewhat sweet and endearing way. In other words: a typical girl. |
