Venlen Taynor aka Vincent Taylor was sitting in his top floor office in London looking over the plans he had to expand this business of his. He was about 6 foot 5 and slim and looked to be about 45-50. He was extremely pleased that things were going well . He had bought this and other struggling businesses in the London area. He had done this before on 6 other worlds. His business practices were extreme to say the least. He wanted control of this city.

Elisabeth Blacksmith was in her cubicle doing her usual routine of paper work. She was 25 years old ,5 foot 4 and had shoulder length brown hair that she wore in a ponytail. She was of average weight and had blue eyes. She had worked here for the last year . She was one of the lucky ones she guessed. Ever since Mr Taylor had taken over, people had been disappearing. She tried not to let it bother her as she worked on a stack of files.

The Tardis thumped and buzzed as The Doctor ran around the controls trying to hit all the necessary buttons and levers. The lights flashed and flickered and The Tardis hit the ground with a thud. The Doctor fell over on the ground and jumped up immediately. He ran to the doors and threw them open to find he was on top of a building. He went back in The Tardis and checked where he landed. "Well at least I know this area. Good job girl." He said seeing he was in London. He grabbed his coat and walked out of the Tardis. The Doctor found the door on the roof and trotted down the stairs to the highest floor.

Elisabeth was in the laundry room of her apartment building when she heard a thump. Elizabeth panicked a little . She remembered hearing a thump like that when she was a little girl . She never found out what it was . She left her laundry to dry, she had a washing machine in her apartment but not a dryer, and went to the stairs to find out what it was.

The Doctor whistled as he walked around the top floor of the building. He took out his Sonic Screwdriver and waved it around at the doors. Non of the rooms gave off any weird readings. He put the sonic back in his pocket and walked his way to the stairwell. He was liking the looks of the building so far. It seemed nice and calm and void of any alien activity. As he was going down the stairs be bumped into a girl going up them. "Oh, excuse me." He said and tried to squeeze past her.

" I'm sorry sir. I didn't see you there. Did you hear a thud by any chance?" She said. She really wanted to know what that thud was. " Are you new here ? I'm Elisabeth Blacksmith . I live on the fourth floor . " She offered her hand in greeting . Something was different about this man. " He must be crazy to wear such heavy out fit on a sweltering day like this. But if he likes to dress that way , I'm not the one to judge."

The Doctor shook her hand. "Nice to meet you Elizabeth. That thud was just me. Had a bit of a ruff landing. Should have left my coat in the Tardis. It's warm today." he said and looked around. "Any weird happening been going on here lately?" he asked. He was curious to find out why the Tardis brought him here and not to where he was trying to get to.

" TARDIS? What's that? I don't think anything is strange here, but at work it's very strange. I think we should go somewhere that no one can hear .Its sounds very odd . Even to me it does ,but I feel I'm the only one who notices. Let me get my laundry ,and I'll make you some tea back in my flat. I don't want my neighbors to think I'm like my mother. I'll explain later what that means , I promise." She had to trust this man. If he could help her she would be grateful.

The Doctor raised and eyebrow (Oh how he always raises his eyebrow xD) and listened as she rambled on. "Alright." he said and followed her. "So what kind of strange things are going on at your work?" he asked when they got to her flat. He picked up random things and looked them over before setting them down again. After that he took out his sonic and scanned over her stuff.

Why he was scanning her things, Elisabeth wasn't sure . She got the water to a boil and added the tea bags to the kettle. She then poured the tea into the cups she had gotten out. She took them to the living room and then went back for sugar, milk and lemon. " People are going missing. We're told they've been transferred to one of the CEO's other businesses , but the strange thing is some of them are treated like they never existed. My friend Lillian was promoted , but the next day people acted like she never existed. I went to her parent's home and they said they didn't know her. I feel I'm going crazy." Elizabeth sat down in a chair and started to cry. " I don't like being seen as crazy. My mom was the crazy scientist working for the government , I don't want to be the crazy office worker."She felt guilty crying in from of a complete stranger. She didn't even know his name or what a TARDIS was. This were getting stranger by the minute.

"Shh shh shh, There's no need for crying." The Doctor said and handed her one of the Tea cups. "And your not crazy. Well, you might be I don't know I just met you and you invited me into your flat and started to ramble, but from what I can tell is your just curious." he said and took the other tea cup. "Pardon my asking but do you have any bananas? I love bananas." He asked and smiled at her. "The CEO, what's he like?" he asked not bothering to give her a chance to answer about the bananas. "Mean? Rude? I'm rude now, never was before, least I don't remember being rude. Does he yell at people? Do you ever see him?" The Doctor asked looking around as if talking to himself and not her.

She calmed down and took the cup. Taking a sip before answering she then said, " He can be rude.He treats us all like we are his personal slaves. And he yells at us for no reason. Yesterday he complained that the computers on this planet were to slow. Why would he think that ? The computers are new and are regularly updated. And he hates the way us Humans are to emotional toward each other? I thought he was human. I have a minor in psychology and to me something is strange about him. In a bad way i mean. He seems to be hiding something. I sometimes notice things that others don't though. It's always been that way. I'm sorry if I'm not making much sense. To answer your question about bananas, I don't have any bananas but I have banana bread. The ones I had were getting brown ,and I didn't want to throw them away. Would you like a slice?" She felt comfortable around him for some reason. She had a hard time reading his expression. Who was he? " Please don't take offense to what I said. " Elisabeth said

"Ah, yes, I'd love a slice." The Doctor said and took a seat in a chair. "He called you humans? As if he wasn't one? Or maybe just a slip of the tongue? And what would he know of other planets. Humans don't have ways to other planets. At least not yet." he said and drank the rest of his tea. There was defiantly something not human about her employer and the Doctor was now dead set on finding out what ever he could from her to figure out what her boss was. The other employees disappearing, no one noticing, families forgetting about their loved ones, nothing he hadn't heard before but defiantly strange.

Elizabeth went to the kitchen and got her guest a slice of banana bread and put it on a napkin. " He's said it more than once. The last time was Friday. It scares me that I might be the next one. He also won't accept any transfers out or let anyone quit. I've wanted to leave many times . My grandad has said he can get me a civilian job with a government agency. " She gave The Doctor the banana bread. " I hope you like it ." She said with a small smile and sat down.


Meanwhile, Venlen Taynor was getting ready for the next set of transfers. He had an employee from each of the businesses to be eliminated or promoted to an off planet site. He didn't want anyone to interfere with his plan to take over London. Then it would be the other major cities in the UK, then Europe, then all the major cities in the world. These useless humans wouldn't know what hit them until it was too late.

"Thank you." the Doctor said taking the banana bread. "Maybe I can fix that." He said after eating the bread in two giant bites. "That's good banana bread by the way. Now let's go to your work and see if I can't transfer you out." he said standing up and walking to the door in a few giant steps. "It shouldn't take long, and I can see what's going on over there."

" Glad you like it. Alright. I hope you can. What's your name by they way? I should asked you that before. "Elizabeth said as they left her apartment and she locked up. She hoped he could help her . She had the feeling something bad might happen. She really wanted answers.

"I'm the Doctor. Just the Doctor. Nothing more. nothing less." he said and practically flew up the stair case to the roof. "I'll need to know the address so I can get us there." he said pulling his key out of his pocket and unlocking the Tardis. He walked in and threw his coat on the rack like fixture next to the door and started to flip switches and pull levers.

Nice to meet you sir . Here is the address ." She said handing him a post it note . She followed him up to the roof and saw the TARDIS . She noticed it looked like a police box , like the ones she saw in old photographs.Elizabeth followed him inside and was amazed at the size of the interior . How something could be bigger on the inside than the outside she wasn't sure . She wondered if The Doctor was an alien or from the future. She didn't ask , thinking it would be rude to do so .

"Thank you." the doctor said taking the post it. He pushed some buttons and pulled some levers and twisted some knobs and the Tardis lifted up and took to the sky. "Check this out." he said and walked to the door. He pulled it open and looked out at the view of London below. "No better way to travel then by Tardis." he said and smiled. "You can see anything and everything from way up here, and your not stuck between to fat people on a plane."

She looked . " It is amazing! " Elizabeth had never seen London from this point of view before . Not even from the tallest building she had been in. Elizabeth didn't say she had never ridden on a plane ever. But after this was over, she hoped to change that .

The Doctor smiled and landed the Tardis in an alley next to her work building. He left his coat inside and stepped out walking to the street. "Anything I should know about the building? Security? Tripe wires? Lasers?" he asked looking up the building. He usually wasn't ever worried about things like that but it was sometimes good to check.

"The building just had a security update. We can enter through the employee entrance. What should I say if anyone asks why you are there?' Elizabeth hoped this would work out


Venlen saw them through the security cameras. He knew who the girl was, but the man he didn't. He got a strange feeling about that man. He knew his time was running short. He wouldn't let them stop his plan.

"Oh, you let me worry about that." he said and went to the entrance. At the door a man stopped him and asked who he was. The Doctor pulled out a piece of paper and showed it to him. The man saw that the Doctor was a Chief Supervisor and the Doctor told him he was here to make sure everything was running well and to talk to "The Big Guy" as he put it. The man let them in and the Doctor showed the paper to Elizabeth. "Physic Paper. Makes people see what I want them to see." he told her smiling.

They were taken to Taynor's office and told to wait a little bit. " I guess Mr. Taylor does work weekends. " Elizabeth said in a whisper.

Taynor got the message that the man wanted to see him. He had a plan that would stop them both. He was going to transfer Miss Blacksmith but he would have to eliminate her first . He would separate them and he would take care of the man . He summoned them into his office . " Welcome Miss Blacksmith . I'm surprised to see you here today. " He turned to her friend and said " Nice to meet you sir. I'm Vincent Taylor , the CEO of Taynor Industries. How may I be able to help you?" He was ready for anything.

"Ah yes well, I would like to request you let my friend here quit so she can find a job somewhere else." The Doctor said simply looking around the room instead of making eye contact with Taynor. "Nice office by the way, where are you hiding the guns and bombs and other weapons? Oh and what do you want on Earth? This is a boring little planet, that is protected let me tell you. It is very protected." The doctor said still looking around the room.
