If only you could see...
If only you could see... Dumbledore and Mcgonagall have chosen a new Head Boy and Head Girl for the sixth year of Harry Potter. This time, this story shall represent what happened in between the story lines of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince being 6th year. Harry is off with Ginny, hanging out with her and the twins Fred and George. Luna is off hanging with Neville, they are even dating as rumors are heard, Ron is out of luck, he apparently keeps making Hermione very upset. Draco is with Pansy, but, eventually during the start of 6th year dumps her, telling his father he will find a girl within this school year or be with no one. His father for some odd reason had agreed, however, Draco thought nothing of it. What will happen when Draco realizes he is starting to like another he shouldnt like? What happens if he starts to think he loves her and wants to know what it is like to be even closer to her? If things go the way he feels, what will Harry and Ron do? How will everyone in the school feel? And what will they all think? Not that Draco cares much on how others see him. BIO: Name- Draco Lucius Malfoy Age- 16 (June 5th) Housing: Slytherin Bio: Draco is from a high standard and wealthy family. Nothing but greatness is expected unless you somehow go above that. You are raised however and you must do as you are told. No talking back, no going against, no doing anything you really wish to do. Pic: http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/d...5295753_l1.jpg |
Name: Hermione Granger Age: 16 House: Gryffindor Bio: Hermione comes from a Muggle family. No matter how proud her parents are of whatever she does, she still wants to live up to her own expectations. She wants to prove that Muggle-borns can become the greatest witches and wizards. Through her many insecurities, she just really needs a guy to full except her for who she really is. She spends her time waiting by keeping her nose stuck in books, branding her as a know-it-all. http://i697.photobucket.com/albums/v...bxzpo1_500.png |
(If this is short, then I am sorry but I am heading off to bed right after this post)
Draco Malfoy, just turned 16 in June and now it was August as year 6th of Hogwarts had already began about two weeks ago. Sure Harry Potter was the so-called boy who lived, but, Draco was the son of one of the most wealthiest wizards alive. Lucius Malfoy, however, that didn't help the fact he couldn't do anything he ever want, Draco that is, Lucius could do whatever now that he was fully grown and been in control by his father when he was younger. Draco had been oddy distracted lately, he had told his father about his plans on getting a girl this year or not getting anyone ever again. He had been against Pansy after catching her making out with a muggle at her own house. It was better than Draco's house, the muggle never would've survived if Lucius had found out and Draco had made sure that his father knew sooner or later. Draco was now sitting in Potions Class, Snape was still the teacher like all of these years. And it seems that a message arrived for two of the students within the classroom by Mcgongall herself "Excuse me Professor Snape, may I have Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger for the rest of the time please?" of course she wasn't asking more like implying "As you wish" he spoke with a wave of his hands as Draco looked up grabbing his books, though he never even realized an assignment was even given as he walked out of the classroom. (Your turn, Enjoy) |
(Yay! That was a nice-sized post. Nowhere near short in my terms. And goodnight!)
Hermione didn't feel sixteen at all. She didn't feel any different nor did she feel anymore mature that she already held herself accounted for. Three and a half months have passed and she still felt the same. Maybe it was because of the fact she didn't do a thing about it. She stuck to the same routine of living at Hogwarts as she stuck to her past five years in Hogwarts. Do excellent in class, do homework asap, be ahead of everyone else, keep her mouth shut as much as possible (though that never worked), and help out her two best friend Ron and Harry. She couldn't help looking down upon the fact her her own mother had been bugging her lately about the same exact thing. "I would like to know if you'd have plans with a boy," her mother would say. "There is no boy," Hermione would answer, holding her tongue in fear of snapping at her mother. She was just sixteen. How could her mother expect Hermione to have a boyfriend already? Why couldn't her mother be like most muggle mothers? Wanting to scare off any boy who tried to take their daughters away from them before school was over with. Maybe it was the fact that her mother knew how Hermione was. Hermione shook her head out of her reverie when she heard McGonagall call her name. She soon cringed when she realized that her name had been called along with Draco's. She looked up at Snape and found his facial expression annoyed. Hoping that Snape would keep the two longer, she sighed and grabbed her books, folding over her test that she was already finished with in the Potion's classroom. She glared at Draco as she followed him out to the hallway with McGonagall. |
(lol everytime I say, sorry if its short, it turns out to be so much longer, I wrote 8 paragraphs before lol)
Draco ignored her glare for once as he asked "Whats this about?" "Hush now Draco, I am certain that you wouldn't care if you were in class or not. Follow me if you would" McGonagall answered replying and walked the two to her office. Even with a teacher around or not, Draco stayed within his thoughts, though he had kept his face unreadable and his actions (thoughts) hidden as well. Once in the office Draco asked again "What is this about?" he didn't even bother to say her name, though he was more curious to as what was going on now than the importance of names. Looking around, wondering if maybe something out out of place to show as a joke, however, he found nor spotted nothing. |
(Haha I know what you mean.)
Hermione rolled her eyes at how impatient Draco was being. She wanted to snap at him, but she wouldn't allow herself to do so. She sat down in one of the chair that McGonagall had motioned for them to sit down in. When Draco failed to sit down, Hermione crossed her arms angrily. "Sit down, Malfoy!" Hermione hissed in a hushed tone as McGonagall went to go sit down at her desk. "Now, as you two know, it is our job to choose a new Prefect for every house in this school every year. Based on leadership in class and grades, skills, and cooperation, we have chosen you two to be the Prefects of your house," McGonagall explained. "Now. Any questions?" Hermione was too shocked to respond to that. She just kept her mouth in the form of an 'o' as she stared down at the carpet, taking in what McGonagall had just said. She had always wanted to be Prefect for Gryffindor. She knew well enough that she had the leadership and skills to be so. She looked up at McGonagall, ready to respond. When Draco said nothing, she asked, "What does being a Prefect involve?" "You two will share a common room of two rooms, you will have access to the Prefect Bathrooms, you are to come to meetings that we ask you to come to, you are to work together in leading your fellow housemates, and you are expected to be at your best behavior when present. Any funny business or foolishness will deduct you from where you now stand." Hermione snorted. Sharing a common room with Draco? McGonagall must be joking. She turned her head to observe how Draco was looking. |
(lol YAY you are back *hugs* Hello, yes hugging is my way of saying hello)
Draco heard her voice and for some odd reason unkown to even him, he actually took a seat waiting as McGonagall had spoken. Draco sat there, a bit confused, sure Granger could be one, but, how the heck in the world of magic did he get something like this? His grade's were good, up to however his parents wish, but, he wasn't the best. He didn't answer a bunch of questions in class either, Skills, now that he had, well with telling people what to do. Cooperation? Now that was still under debation. Draco tried to keep his face blank though his voice didn't sound as it normally did when he was proud of something "And what if we don't want this? What if 'I' don't want this?" Draco stated asking as he listened to McGongall's reply "You have no choice in the matter, I'm sure your father would say the same Malfoy" "My fatehr has nothing to say in any matter, all decisions are left to me" "Then why dont you show him you can make your own decisions?" "Why its not like I have a choice in this" Draco stated and with the look on her face, he was right. Draco, having to choice in the matter, having to share a room with a Gryffindor, let alone Granger was out of the question. Not only two opposites and from different houses at that, but they had to work together. It was like as some say, throwing gas into the fire. Which was starting to make him realize his father might not like this idea, that he would have to work with a mud-blood. |
(Heehee hi! -hugs- Alrighty. xD)
Seeing Draco this annoyed bother Hermione a bit. She turned to McGonagall. "He obviously doesn't want a share a room with me. Can't we switch with the other Prefects?" asked Hermione as she looked back at Draco. "I'm afraid it's final. Now. Go pack your things up and meet me in the library. There, I will be assigning a Prefects Rule Book to you each," said McGonagall as she motioned the two away. Without another word, Hermione got up, hesitated before she turned, and stormed away. How could this have happened? She waited for Draco to come out so she could grab him by his robes and drag him to the side for a little private chat. "You want the extra credentials, right? Well, so do I. We just need to get through this. I'm aware you hate me, and don't worry...I hate you too. Let's he show them what we can do. Then it'll be over and done with before you know it," said Hermione, not bothering to look at Draco. She let go of his robes, waiting for him to say something. |
(okay just dropped a rp, and you're now the only one on but I am totally fine with that lol)
'A rule book? Who would want to read something like that, besides perfect Granger' Draco thought to himself and eventually he followed Granger out the door until he was pulled off to the side by his robes surprising the hell out of him. He never wanted to be close to a Gryffindor, let alone her of all people and he knew that somehow he felt the same on that subject. Now curious to what she would say, he listened waiting. He knew she was right, he would want the credits, he could also use the attention to distract him from everything else, realizing she was a bit slow at letting go his robes, he wondered something, then ignore the thought. 'Maybe, no it cant be, stupid mud-blood' but was that how he really felt? "Okay, two conditions, one never do that in public or near teachers ever again, and two 'don't' touch me again" as he moved aside from her and walked off. Draco ran into Pansy as Pansy jumped to conclusions "What the bloody hell are you doing with her? I saw you two alone right there, I'm not stupid Draco" Pansy stated not fully accepting their break up last week "She is nothing but a Gryffindor, let alone a mud-blood!" For some reason when Pansy called Hermione a mud-blood, it irritated him to no end and now a crowd was forming. "Oh will you just shut up Pansy!" now that was a surprise to everyone except Draco himself. Pansy was always acting like a brat, if she didn't like things she would make them to her standards. If she couldn't have someone, she would make some way to get them even by force. "You're nothing but a two year saying you want this and thought. When you dont get your way, you throw a freakin fit! You're are so annoying, you are only with me because our parents arranged it, I never liked you, you're just a cold hearted-" Draco was caught off realizng the crowd as he stopped himself. "Forget it, you're not worth the effort" Draco stated walking away with his hands in his pockets as everyone had cheered. |
(Oh noes! :o well, you're still the only person I'm roleplaying with, so yays to that!)
Hermione rolled her eyes and went her separate way. "No problem," he mumbled as she hugged her books to her chest just as the bell rang. Her last class was Herbology, which was one of her favorites. The professor was kind and she actually didn't have to lead the class like she did every other class. She could rely on Neville for this class. She paused when she heard yelling. She turned around and saw Pansy and Draco fighting. She thought about going over to join the crowd, but she stopped herself. She watched as Draco said his final words and everyone cheered for him. She soon turned back around and headed to Herbology. After Herbology, Hermione grabbed a plate of supper to go as she headed to her dorm room. She gathered all of her belongings and headed to the library. But she stopped just in the Gryffindor common room when Ron and Harry entered, the three stopped and looked at each other. "Where were you for supper?" asked Ron. "Here," answered Hermione. Ron and Harry eyed the two suitcases in Hermione's hand, let alone her cat Crookshanks. "Where are you going?" asked Harry. "I was called into McGonagall's office. Apparently I'm not Gryffindor Prefect," said Hermione. Ron and Harry smiled. "Well that's great to hear! Who are you sharing the common room with?" asked Ron. Hermione bit down on her lip, not sure how she could answer this without Ron and Harry's unnecessary concerns. "I...don't know yet. I'm headed to the library to find out," said Hermione as she pushed passed the two without another word. Was she really going to hate this year stuck with Draco? Even then, was it going to bother her as much as she knew it would bother Harry...let alone Ron...? |
Draco had talked to his friends during classes explaining everything about what happened except the prefect part and leaving out the confrontation with Granger. However, his day seemed to brighten when the ending of his classes came up. He went into the common room luckily no one to pass by besides Pansy, crying her eyes out. Ignoring her like he always did, he walked off to pack his things, earlier he grabbed a small snack from dinner but that was only to give to Pansy knowing she would be there.
About to leave with his things, Draco was stopped by Pansy blocking his way "Tell me, how can you chose that...that...mud-blood over me?" Pansy was upset as he stated "I could chose anyone over you, even that Weaslet" He was talking about Ginny Weasly and Pansy knew it. Walking by her he headed out and met up in the library as McGonagall was glad that he had chosen to the prefect for Slytherin. Making it seem pride showed on his face, he waited, sitting on one of the tables. |
Hermione was the last to show up when she entered the library. She found McGonagall and Draco by the main set of tables. She walked over, sat her luggage down, and awaited. In McGonagall's hands were two books and a wooden box that looked ancient. McGonagall motioned for Hermione to sit down. When she had been seated, McGonagall passed out the books. "Read these books carefully. They will be your exact guidelines to being Prefect. What you can and cannot do, what is expected, and what is simply looked down upon.
Knowing Hermione, she'd have the book read as soon as she finished her homework. Next, McGonagall opened up the wooden box, revealing two of four prefect badges with the house crests on each one. Two were already gone, obviously already passed out to the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. McGonagall handed the two badges carefully. "You are to where these at all times. Even in your sleep. Loose them and there will be consequences." Hermione pinned her badge on immediately, soon covering it once she suddenly felt a sense of new pride. She smiled slightly, then straightened her face and waited for the next instructions. "Now, anymore questions before I show you two to your common room?" asked McGonagall. |
(crap sorry almost forgot about this lol)
Draco had taken the book simply flipping through it and then closing it, there was no way he was going to even try to read it later. Well actually it could help get his mind to other things. Draco had wondered what the consuences were, they could just do a lost and found spell on it focusing on the object. Though, even if it were found, he would still not lose it, his room wasn't a mess like he could imagine Weasly's to be. Meaning Ron of course. "No" Draco stated, staying quiet wasn't his thing "Let's just get this over with already" he mumbled adding the last bit not caring who all would hear him. |
(Whaaaat? ;~; )
Hermione silently followed McGonagall. When they were finally showed to the Prefect's common room for two of them, Hermione dropped her luggage, gaping at how amazing the room was. The room was decorated with golden and silver to match the two houses together. A large fire place sat at one wall with a elegant-looking couch facing it. the carpet was golden and the walls were silver. Off to the side were three doors. The middle one was the dorm bathroom and the two on each side of it was the rooms. Hermione opened up the one to the right and walked inside, finding a large room with a desk, canopy bed with Gryffindor theme, and a small space heater. A set of two windows sat at the farthest wall be the nightstand. Hermione walked back into the common room to find McGonagall still there. "Now, the prefect's bathroom is just down the hall, opened all day long. It's getting late, so I'll leave you two to whatever it is you two do..." McGonagall said as she soon walked out of the common room. Without a word, Hermione raised and eyebrow at Draco as she picked up her luggage and dragged them into her new room, slamming the door behind her. She sighed and put her back to the door, looking up at the lit chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The full moon outside was shining through the room, casting upon Hermione's face. She breathed heavily. Why am I nervous? Hermione asked herself as she took a step forward and began to unpack, setting the Prefect's Rule Book down on the bed for later use. |
(i am supposed to be doing dishes, yet i got addicted to true blood and my little bro just went to sleep, srry srry)
Draco had found his room after looking at all of the decorations, it wasn't too bad in here, better than what he had to share with the other Slytherin boys thats for sure. His room held everything that Granger's did. Small space heater, large canopy bed, window with a great view, a desk, and just on the opposite side of Hermione's, the opposite room wise. Draco placed his things on his bed, he would use a cleaning spell for any dust he would find,no need for allergies here. Draco watched her leave and shrugged, he went back into his room saying nothing to Hermione as he unpacked his things, he found there was no need for a cleaning spell, yet, he could use a brighter light in which he created. It did help out alot, the dimmer light wasn't that great, nor would it be good for your eyes. Draco's door was cracked, he put away his clothes, he put the book on his desk, and even started laying out his homework, yes he does homework, and made sure it was his room kind of style. About 30 minutes later he made his way downstairs to the couch, lounging in a big compty chair that was there a bit closer to the fireplace while reading his book. Thats one thing you never would see him, let alone any Malfoy do, was read a book. It could ruin their perfect image of absolutness or power, however you wish to think of it. |
(Sorry it took forever replying! I had to do a few chores.)
Hermione jerked awake. How did she fall asleep? She found herself at her new desk in her new Prefect's Room. She had rested her head on her arms upon her opened book of Herbology. A stack of parchment paper sat beside it with being half-filled with writing. She sat up and put her hands to her head, finding her hair all a tangled mess. She sat back in her chair for a moment, seeing if she could get anymore awake. When she was awake, she decided it was time to get her bath, just by looking at her cell phone's time. She grabbed her pajamas and her favorite Gryffindor towel she had gotten for her birthday. She headed to the common room, pinning her hair up in a simple black clip. In her hands were her collected articles and the Prefect's Rule Book to read while the bath fills up. Her book fell to the floor and she reached down to pick it up. She looked a mess. Her blouse was un-tucked from her skirt and her stockings and shoes were off, replaced with black flip flops. Her vest was gone and her blouse's cuffs were unbuttoned along with her Prefect Badge pinned to her blouse, remembering that McGonagall didn't want them to walk anywhere without the badge. She never took evening naps. She never took them because she would wake up feeling like legit crap. She still couldn't believe that she was not Gryffindor Prefect. |
(thats okay, thats what I was doing too)
Draco had managed to get two chapters in and didn't fall asleep, though he had heard the book that Granger had dropped, reading was not really his type of thing. At least not about rules, thats for sure, all the things it stated in the book had been known as common sense or knowledge. Draco looked up from the opened book "What happened to you, get into a fight with the weeping willow tree" he mocked. Just because they were locked up in a room together and had to work together did not mean they had to actually be nice to eachother. |
(I had the weirdest need to clean my room...and I HATE cleaning my room. :o So I'm on break)
Hermione gasped and looked up at Draco. She put her free hand over her heart. "I had...fallen asleep," Hermione said as she eyed the book in Draco's hand. She squinted her eyes, unsure if she was seeing correctly. She rubbed her eyes and absentmindedly tried to smooth out her hair. "What are you reading?" she asked as she slowly made her way towards the door that led to the hallway. She stopped before the door and turned to Draco, but avoided his gaze. She was highly curious as to why on earth Draco was reading a book. |
(lol I so know what thats like, I could have nothing to do but relax during the day but I have sudden urges to clean I used to scare my parents, tho its almost normal now lol)
"Nothing, where are you going?" Draco wasn't about to answer a question so obvious let alone about a book. He had a mocking expression on his face, his usual one, then a suspicious look though he was no where near suspucious. The good thing about this whole mess was that he could have peace and quiet whenever he wanted. Not only that but only two people sharing a common room with everything in it, well it was almost like his family blood was just realized. |
(When my mom realizes I've been cleaning my room without her asking me, I think I'll give her a heart attack)
Hermione always had been OC about answering questions. No matter what, she would feel highly compelled to answer them. She motioned to the towel and pajamas in her hand. "I'm going to get my shower," she said as she took one last glance at Draco before she left. Walking down the darkened hallway, she couldn't help thinking about why Draco didn't want to answer Hermione's question about the book. Maybe it was because he didn't want anyone to know that he reads? No, he doesn't read. It's not like him. She entered the Prefect's bathroom, shocked at how grand and large it was. It was as if it was brand new. She turned the knobs of the very large water spout as different colored water shot out of each spout, soap mixed in with it. In the mean time, she looked around, made sure no one was near, and slipped out of her clothes, and sat on the edge of the large bathtub that resembled a regular-sized public swimming pool. She grabbed her book and while in the nude, she read the whole first chapter of the book. According to the chapter, her and the other Prefects were to patrol the halls of Hogwarts ever weekend night. |
(lol you should wander out for a drink and if she asks say you are busy cleaning your room and leave it at that lol)
Draco didn't comment on that obvious notion that he should've caught but didn't. He waited, he wasn't going to take a bath with her there, no way, not even if it 'was' okay. His light grey almost sky blue looking eyes darted back to his pages into the book. It wasn't very long before he fell asleep, though he felt an odd pain shoot throughout him and he wasn't sure why, it wasn't bad enough to wake him out of his dream state as the fire still went and he was still in his robes, he started to get over heated as his face slowly turned a very light shade of red. Reading about most things wanted to put him to sleep and now he was actually asleep for once with his guard down. |
(Haha I should!)
Hermione rested her head against the edge of pool of soupy water. She closed her eyes and sighed, relaxed by the heat of the water. She was oblivious that the other Prefect, Lavender Brown, had snuck in. When Hermione heard a ruffle of clothes, she opened her eyes and found Lavender running out of the bathroom with all of Hermione's clothes. Anger welled up inside of Hermione. "Hey! Lavender, you get back here!" yelled Hermione. Hermione climbed out of the bath and grabbed a Hogwarts towel to wrap around herself for cover as she ran out of the bathroom. She stopped in the middle of the hallway, finding Lavender nowhere in sighed. Angry and over-tired all of a sudden, Hermione went back in the bathroom to grab her book and trudged back to her common room. Before the door to her common room was the pile of her clothes all crumpled up, her Gryffindor towel missing, and a piece of parchment folded on top of the pile. Hermione reached down and opened the parchment. "Stay away from Ron..." it read. "How immature," Hermione mumbled as she entered the common room. Draco was fast asleep on the chair he was sitting in. So silently, she ran to her room to hide. Once in her room, she fell to her knees, so angered that she began to cry. |
(sorry was making and eating dinner)
Draco woke a little bit after Hermione came back without knowing it, he stretched waking slowly. Yawning he walked over to Hermione's door and figured he would knock to see if she had returned. It had been plenty long enough for her to take her bath and be dressed by now. Knocking without a care as he spoke up "Granger, are you in there? 'Ey, Granger?" he listened in towards the door and could hear silent crying "Hey are you okay in there?" |
(It's alright ^^)
Hermione stopped her crying and stared at her door. Draco was on the other side, speaking directly at her. She sniffed and wiped her tears away. "Yeah, I'm fine," she spoke up as she got to her feet and started dragging out fresh new pajamas. Changing into them quick, like never before, she checked to find her eyes not as puffy. She put her damp hair up in a messy bun and breathed in deeply before she opened her door. She opened it to find Draco there, even though she wished he wasn't. "What do you want?" she asked in a less voice than she normally spoke in at him. |
(Yay you are back :D)
Draco was a bit surprised to see her in this attire, however he would just get used to it later. "I didn't know if you came back or not, so I came to see if you did" He spoke quickly adding in "Potter likes to get in a lot of difficult situations, I wasn't sure if you were off with him and that Weasly" He turned to leave "I'm going to take my bath now, you shouldn't stay up too late, I do believe next monday we have a meeting" though it had occured it to him that she was upset, just not crying wise. He left to take his bath, he knew it would be an hour or two before he would come back. He liked to take his time that was for sure, and having classes tomorrow wasn't the bestest thing in the world to him. Though he went to uphold his family image mostly since he was good at his work. |
