Eve nodded. She hoped this all went well. She thought she saw someone in the distance, but wasn't sure.

Salem was slowly making his way up to the area where they were suppose to meet, feeling a little fatigued. He wasn't sure why he was feeling this bad and chalked it up to something that he ate before coming. Little did he know the plans that the others had in store for him.

Gina watched the man approach Alex and Eve. She was glad the seal could be activated from a distance . She signaled Kushina to get ready and would give the okay to act once Alex signaled her.

Alex waited a few seconds more and when he was close enough to see and hear him, he signaled to Gina to spring the trap.

Gina sprung the trap and hoped this worked. She knew Kushina would be disappointed if it didn't .

Salem was about to walk closer when he ran straight into an invisible wall of air. Backpedaling a bit in annoyance and a little in pain, he ran into another wall. Having a feeling that he was trapped in a box of air, he growled lightly before seeing the trainer and Eve standing in front of him. "So...this was your plan all along, wasn't it?" he asked in an angry voice...or at least in an attempted angry voice. He wouldn't lie that he wasn't feeling tired, not that he would tell these two.

"Of course it was. We need your help. If you help us ,we can help you." Eve said . She noticed he looked a little tiered and assumed that was the poison taking effect.

"Help me? What do you mean?" He asked a little skeptically.

" Are you feeling unusually tired at all." Eve said , hoping she was doing this right.

"Have no idea what you're talking 'bout," he said as he placed his arms in front of him and crossed them at chest level. Although he wouldn't admit it, he was feeling more tired than usual, and wondered just how she knew.

" Trust me. I know you are tired. I was like that when I was outside the city. Do you want to know why you are?" Eve said. She hoped this bargain would work, not wanting to lose Carly .

Alex stayed quiet, watching Eve talk with Salem.

"Alright, suppose I do say I'm tired. What do you know about it?" He asked out of curiosity.

" It's a poison. You get injected with it when you first get hired , but are told its a vaccination. The further out of town a person gets, the weaker they get. It also serves as a tracking device. " Eve said.

"Then why aren't you suffering the same effects?" Salem asked.

" I had it cured." Eve said. She was very grateful for Rikku healing her.

Salem raised an eyebrow at that. "Cured how?"

" My friend Alex has a Bishie that can cure the poison. Only if you agree to help us though. " Eve said. She was doing everything they had rehearsed.

"And before you ask, no, I didn't bring my Bishie that can cure the poison with me," Alex said as he spoke up. "All you have to do is give our friend the antidote first, and then we can heal you of your problem," he said, continuing on as they had rehearsed before.

Eve hoped he would give them the antidote. She knew they had a back up plan if Salem didn't agree to help them.

"And how do I know I can trust you now? Especially after this," Salem said, waving one of his arms out to indicate the box he was in.

" We'll let you go if you help us. How do we know we can trust you?" Eve asked .

"Because I came here out of my own free will and no one else knows I'm here at the moment...well, unless this tracker thing you're talking about is real," Salem responded.

" It is real. They used it to find me when I first escaped. I don't want you to go through the fear I did. " Eve said. She wouldn't admit to Salem she still lived in fear.

"So that's how they were able to track you down so easily, I was a little curious about that," Salem said surprised. Seeing as they hadn't hurt him or tried anything funny yet, minus the sealed room, he thought about deciding to give in and give them the antidote in return for curing him of this poison.

Eve was glad everything was going well. Though she hoped Carly was alright , not wanting to lose her friend before they could help her.
