Tracy got dressed and started breakfast. She didn't know what Eragon liked, but she hoped he liked pancakes.

Eragon heard the water go off and put the picture back hastily, chastising himself for looking through someone's stuff so blatantly. Noticing a bathroom to the side, he entered it before taking a quick shower. As he was taking his shower, he wondered just who the male in that picture was.

A few minutes later, he turned the water off and got out of the shower before smelling something in the kitchen. 'that smells good...' he thought to himself.

Tracy put the pancakes on a plate and then started the sausage. She smiled a little bit remembering how much Daniel liked her pancakes.

Eragon put his clothes back on and headed towards the kitchen, the scent of breakfast getting stronger as he got closer.

" Morning. Hope you slept well last night. " Tracy said with a smile.

"I did, thank you, and I hope you slept well also," Eragon replied as he noticed the pancakes and sausage on a second plate. "Is that for me?" he asked.

" Sure is. Would you like some orange juice?" Tracy asked.

Eragon nodded before thanking her for the food.

Tracy got the orange juice and poured two glasses, before handing one to Eragon. " Anything else?" She asked as she got the syrup and butter out. She also got the strawberry jam out in case she wanted some on her pancakes.

Eragon took the glass of juice. "I'm fine, thanks," he replied as he started eating, enjoying the food that Tracy made.

Tracy started to eat. " Hope you slept well last night. " She said after a while.

"I did. What about you?" he asked started the conversation with his trainer. He just hoped that if he revealed that he took the room next to hers that she wouldn't get mad about it.

" I slept alright. " She said with a smile. " Where did you sleep?" Tracy asked. She hoped it wasn't on the couch.

"I slept in the room next to yours, although I set up a security spell just in case someone tried anything while you slept," Eragon said, hoping she was okay with that after he explained the spell that he set up.

" I'm glad. You can have that room if you would like it." Tracy said.

"Are you sure? It seems as if there's some history in it," Eragon said as his mind going back to that picture he found of Tracy in the room.

"I'm sure. There is some history, but it's time I try to move forward." Tracy said solemnly.

"If you don't mind me asking..." Eragon started, not sure if it was alright or not to start asking about something so personal.

" It's alright. It was my friend Daniel's room. We shared this apartment for about 5 years. We dated a few times and I knew he loved me. I wish I knew what happened to him." Tracy said with a tone of sadness.

'He's the one that Saphira was talking about,' Eragon thought to himself. "What do you mean?" he asked when she said she wished she knew what happened to Daniel.

" He went to challenge Bryce and never returned. They never found his body or confirmed he had died." Tracy said.

"I'm sorry to hear that...it's odd that you never heard from Daniel again though..." Eragon said before taking another bite of food, thinking as he chew.

" It is odd. I always thought he would try to let me know he was alive. I don't want to think the worst though." Tracy said as she took a bite.

Eragon didn't want to say it, but felt that he had to. "You don't want to think he's dead," he stated, completely understanding what it was like.

" I don't. Though I fear if he is alive Bryce might have done something terrible to him. I wish I knew where to start looking. " Tracy said.
