" You all are making a huge mistake in targeting me. I can promise you your journey will cease to be easy. " David said angry knowing that soon he would need to surrender.

"What do you mean?" Alex asked cautiously, curious as to what David meant.

" There still are scientists out there that you'll have to face. And if you think I'm difficult to fight , wait till you meet them. " David sneered.

"Then we'll just have to get stronger," Alex replied.

" Alex is right. We're stronger than we were alone but togeather we can work on improvement. " Carly said in a determined voice.

David just scoffed at that. "Keep thinking that my daughter. Sooner or later, your knight in shining armor can't always protect you," he said.

Carly knew that was a lie. " I'm just happy I have my mom back. " Carly said and was happy the police were here to arrest David.

David scowled as he was being hauled away by the police. He knew that his remaining friends would be gunning for them and was trying to protect her the only way he knew how.

Carly hoped that her mom was now safe and that she had done the right thing to fight her dad. She just didn't want Deanna mad at her.

"Carly?" Alex asked, concerned.

" I'll be okay. Just wondering if I did the right thing." Carly said still feeling a bit numb.

"You did Carly. If we were to let him stay free, who knows what else he would have done," Max stated as Artie nodded.

" I just fear there are still others trapped like my mom was. " Carly said and was glad for the reassurance.

"Then I'm sure we'll find them. But first, I think we should head back to Dragon Village. Artie has deserved it after all," Max said with a light grin. "Plus I wouldn't mind flying without having to worry about anyone seeing me is a nice bonus," the avian admitted with a sheepish look.

" Could we stay for a couple more days though. I want to spend some time with mom. " Carly said not sure if their mom wanted to travel with them for a little while.

"I don't mind waiting," Artie said quickly, knowing that it was better for her master to spend time with her friend rather than herself. It was something that Shirou had taught her.

" Alright. We should get some rest though. It's been a really long day. " Carly said.

"Agreed," Taylor said, yawning lightly.

" We should get going guys. It's getting late. " Deanna said when the police had left.

"Agreed," Alex said, noticing that his female bishies wer starting to hide yawns as well. He just hoped that Dea and the others were safely back at the hotel with Elisa, Lynnette and Janet.

"Sorry for taking you away from your date you two..." Deanna said after the police had taken Henry into custody, yawning lightly. She had known that was what they were planning to do tonight and felt bad that she had to call for their help.

"No worries. I just will make it up to Eve tomorrow. " Salem said with a smile. He was going to have this date be the best they would ever have here.

"Let me know if you want any help with planning it," Deanna said. "But now all I want is a nice warm bed..."

" Same here. I do too. " Salem said held the door open for the ladies he was walking with.

"Thanks Salem," both Eve and Deanna said after going through the door, Eve giving Salem a light kiss on the cheek for the act of kindness.

Salem gave a smile and entered the inn. He couldn't wait to get some rest after the day they had.
