" Ask away Alex. " She said wondering what they might be .

"Do the dragons have a council? And if so, would they mind if I have to kill Shruikan?" He asked. He wouldn't kill him if he didn't have to, but he didn't want to have to keep running from a dragon council if he had to kill Shruikan out of self-defense or something like that.

" There is a council. I don't think they would mind. Shruikan has given them trouble for years and they were shocked he had a tamer . " Saphira said. She would do her best to help Alex contact them.

"Thanks for telling me Saphira," Alex said lightly. "Have either of you flown since we got here? If you haven't, I'm sure I could sneak you two out for a little bit," he said, although he didn't know how Saphira would feel about it.

" They've let us out since we've been here . But I don't object to a short flight. What do you say Angelus?" Saphira asked.

"A short flight sounds like a good idea actually," Angelus said, especially since she wanted to stretch her wings for a little while.

"I just hope they're taking care of you two while I can't," Alex said. He had wanted to take care of both Angelus and Saphira but since he couldn't, he knew that this was the next best thing.

" They are . We're the only dragons at the moment though. It's always interesting when there are many in the same area." Saphia chuckled.

"Oh?" Alex asked in curiosity. He only saw a few dragons in one place at a time and was pretty sure that this was not what Saphira was talking about.

" If there are a great number in a room there can be many philosophical debates going on at once. I'm not sure if that happens every time. Since it's only happened to me twice. I get along well with the dragons of the trainers and not so much with ones I don't know well." Saphira said , she did get along well with Angelus though.

"I see...I assume you two consider each other friends?" he asked. After getting a nod from the azure dragon, he went outside for a few seconds. After seeing that no one was around, he opened the gates so that both Angelus and Saphira could take a small flight. He knew that he could have probably done more for them, but this seemed the best he could do at the moment.

Saphira enjoyed the chance to streach her wings . After about 10 minutes, she landed on the ground and waited for Angelus. " Thank you so much for the opportunity to get outside ." She said greatfuly.

Angelus landed on the ground after ten minutes and thanked Alex for letting her fly like that. Alex replied that it wasn't a problem to either of them.

" Let us know if we can be of any help." Saphira said once she was back in the pen.

"I will," Ark promised before he yawned lightly. He didn't realize how much time had passed while he was talking to Angelus and Saphira.

" Thank you again." Saphira said noticing that Alex was tired. She was glad he had came to visit.

"Don't mention it," he said before leaving and heading back to his hotel room.

Max had wondered what the black spots in the sky were that she saw today. Usually there were dragons flying around , but not that many. She would let Alex know when he got back.

Alex opened the door and headed into the hotel. He was tired enough that he didn't notice the black spots in the sky but when he looked over to make sure that everyone was still here he saw the worried look in Max's eyes and asked her what was wrong.

" I thought I saw dragons in the sky. I usually do see some but not that many at a time. " She said " I don't know what this means really." She was concerned somethig bad was going to happen.

"interesting..." Alex said, wondering what was going on and would have gone back out with Max if he wasn't so tired. "I'll ask around in the morning about it, but right now I need some sleep," he said, before someone was knocking on the door. Resisting the urge to groan, he got up and went to answer it.

It was Lena and she seemed troubled ." Hi Alex. Sorry to bother you but I have some distressing news." She said

Alex forced his tiredness down and asked what was going on. He could pass out later.

" The Dragon Council is gathering . We hoped to get things under control before they did gather. We at the gym and our dragons are afraid the council will decide against us if we ask for their help." She said in a whisper.

Alex's eyes widened in surprise at the news. This wouldn't be good, not at all. Then again...he did need to speak to the Dragon Council soon, especially if he were to help rid this town of both Bryce and Shurikan. "I might be able to help, but I'll need to make a stop to the stables; I have a feeling that Angelus and Saphira will be able to help our case." Alex said. Before he could head out the door with Lena, Jean said that she was coming with him, and he didn't bother to argue.

" We need to hurry and be careful . Bryce was tense all day . It's unlike him to be like that, but I think he's scared." Lena said in a low whisper as they went toward the stables.
