Jean nodded and grinned. "Born ready," she replied with a small mischievous grin.

Max grinned back. " Then let's go. "

"The question though, is to where," Jean said with a small grin forming on her face.

" I would like like to look at shoes." Max said with a small grin also.

"After you mi lady," Jean said, teasing Max.

Max grinned and headed toward a shoe store.

Jean chuckled lightly and followed her into the shoe store.

Max found a pair of sneakers she liked, since the ones she had were getting well worn. She looked around a little bit at the other shoes.

Jean browsed around the shop, looking for a pair of shoes that were familiar to the old dancing shoes that she wore, as well as something practical to walk and fight in.

Max found another pair of shoes that would be comfortable for walking and fighting in.

Jean was glad to have found a pair that looked extremely similar to her old pair of dancing shoes and found a seat to try them on. Sitting down, she put the shoe on her foot and stood up, glad that the short heel didn't bother her balance, just like her old dance shoes did. Putting the other one on, she stood up for a few moments and tested them out by slowly walking around. Finding out that they worked, she tried the second pair of shoes on with similar results.

Max looked a little bit more at the shoes. She wondered what shoes Carly would have found.

Jean looked over and saw Max staring at the shoes with a small sad smile on her face and assumed that she was thinking of Carly.

Max looked a little bit more before she went looking for Jean.

Jean browsed around for a little while, looking for things that she thought Rikku or Nita would like, as well as some boots for Leglius. Speaking of which, she hadn't seen the captain in a while and wondered what he was doing.

Max decided to get the shoes she found for Carly. She knew that this would be over soon.

Jean waited for Max patiently while she browsed around the cashier. As she was looking around, she wondered if Tracy would like anything from this place.

" Sorry to keep you waiting. " Max said when she found Jean.

"I wasn't waiting long Max," Jean said, noticing the third pair in the avian's hands and raised an eyebrow out of curiosity.

" The third pair is for Carly. " Max said and blushed a little bit.

Jean nodded and grinned. "I bet she'll like them," she said with a small grin on her face. She made a mental note to talk to Alex...he needed to get Bryce and Shurikan out of power. Then a crazy idea hit her: who would take over once they ousted Bryce?

" I hope she does." Max said with a small smile.

(woo hoo, 3 day weekend)

"I know she will. Now come on, we're suppose to have fun here and you're ruining my plans," she said in a teasing voice.

" Alright. " Max said with a smile. " Where to after here?"

(yup! and I get another one next week as well!)

"I didn't have anything in mind really...I was just planning on walking around and going into any store that caught our fancy," Jean explained sheepishly.
