Alex thought it was weird that Neil wasn't going first, but went up the ladder cautiously, one of his swords held on his back from a borrowed leather sheathe.

Neil locked the hatch and headed up the ladder." I know you might think it's strange that us Rebel's go last. It's only as a safety measure that we lock the doors from the inside. So if we are followed and can get to the base before anyone can catch up, we're already locked in ." Neil explained.

"That actually makes sense," Alex said once Neil explained it to him. "It also allows us to stop someone from dropping an explosive or anything like that," He told the leader, knowing how it would be if an explosive went off in an enclosed area. He just hoped that Jean and the others were doing alright. Taking the two Bishiballs off his belt, and waited either for a sign or something to start the fireworks.

" Exactly. We're almost up and Cole should be getting ready to move on out.

" We have a long ways to go. So we better get a move on." Cole said as he opened a door waiting for the others to exit before he did.

"Alright," Alex said. He took his blade out and noticed the symbol of water still on the blade. He was still curious as to why that was still there on his blade, but put that thought to the back burners. He needed to be ready, along with his bishies.

Rikku nodded as she kept an eye out at her surroundings, making sure that no one noticed them as they exited since she was one of the first people up the ladder. She double-checked to make sure all of her various weapons were in place as she waited for the others.

" Unlock the hatch once you get to the top. " Neil said.

" We should be to the prison soon. We have to wait till we hear the signal before we open the hatch and have our friends come down. " Cole said.

Everyone nodded as to what Cole said, waiting for whatever the signal was.

Jean nodded as she reached the top of the area and unlocked the hatch.

"We now need to place the explosives , while the guards are dealing with those , We'll have to get back to the underground,and we might have to fight the guards that follow us." Neil said once they were street level.

Zero nodded and volunteered to place the explosives.

Neil opened the bag that held the devices and handed them to the team members. He knew this idea had to work.

Zero took one of the explosives as he noticed other members taking one as well. Neil explained where he wanted them placed as Zero and the others got to work placing and arming the explosives.

" We got a short time before the go off ."Neil said, hoping Cole was almost to the prison.

"Then perhaps we should get out of their range?" Alex asked lightly.

Sora noticed that they were close to the prison cells and just hoped that Alex and the others were doing alright. He knew that they were risking a lot and hoped that they weren't making a huge mistake by trying this. He shook his head lightly to get rid of that thought. They were going to rescue his trainer and friend, there was nothing wrong about it.

"You're right .We better get out of here. "Neil said as he quickly headed toward the hatch ,keeping an eye out for guards.


" Be ready to act fast." Cole said as he unlocked the last door that led to the tunnel under the gym. He hoped this worked. .Cole stood at the ladder waiting for the signal and had to wait a little bit longer. " Those explosions better start soon. "Cole thought." You guys be ready?" He said to his team.

Rikku nodded to Cole's question as she heard the first explosion go off. She gave a quick thought to Alex and hoped that he and the others were alright as Cole, Rikku and the others started their part of the plan. She just hoped that Sora and Max wouldn't make too much of a scene once they were reunited with their trainers, not that she would blame them if they did.

" You guys keep an eye out for guards. If you see them lock this door and climb up. I have a back up plan. " Cole said before he climbed up the ladder and unlocked the hatch. He knew this only locked on the inside. He carefully walked to Tracy and shook her awake. " Hey Trace. Let's get you and everyone else here back to civilization. " He said.

Tracy was having a good dream where both she and Saphira were flying through the clouds. Then she felt someone shaking her awake. "Mhmm..." she said, still sleepily. Feeling the person shake her again, she growled lightly. "I'm up. What do you bastards want?" she asked in an annoyed tone before seeing Cole. Her eyes widened as she quickly woke up, especially after what he heard him say go through her sleep-induced mind finally started making sense.

"You're here to rescue us?" She asked with a small sense of hope in her voice and would be very annoyed if this was a dream.

" I am and I have a team keeping watch. Help me wake the others. I don't know how much time we have and we need to hurry. " He said urgently.

Tracy nodded, going to wake up Carly and her sister. She was glad that this wasn't a dream and that they were really going to get out of this hellhole.

Cole went to wake up Taylor and Michael. He told them to hurry , since he knew the guards could still be here, even with the explosions going on.

Taylor woke up quickly, surprise in his eyes as he saw someone shaking him awake. Hearing him saying that they needed to hurry, he saw Michael getting up as well, wondering what was going on as someone shook his shoulder.

Cole made sure everyone was down the hatch before he went in the hole. He locked the hatch and climbed down the ladder and said. " Things sound quieter than we started. We better get back to base. There we can plan for the next phase of the plan. "

Alex saw the explosions go off and was surprised to see how quickly the guards came out to investigate it from where he was hiding. He wanted to make sure that this plan was going alright, even if it meant he would have to put himself in danger to do so. He got his friends into this mess, and he was damn sure that he would get them out.

" Is everyone ready to get back to the base? I still hear explosions, but there could still be guards looking for us. " Cole said once everyone was in the tunnel.

Rikku turned towards Cole and nodded. "None of the guards are around here. I think they all went to check out on the explosions," she said.
