At the turn of the 20th century, the city of Paris was in the throes of the Bohemian revolution with the infamous night club Moulin Rouge as its center stage. Through the flurry of sex and drugs, a poet and courtesan find one another and fall in love. However, their passionate affair ends in tragedy with the death of the courtesan, leaving the poet lost and forlorn for the remainder of his days.

Now, a century has passed and these star-crossed lovers are about to meet once more. Will history repeat itself? Or will they overcome all the odds and finally be together?

Name: Satine Dubois
Age: 17
Personality: On the outside, Satine seems to love the attention she receives, mostly from the male students at her high school. And a part of her really does love performing in the spotlight, but even with all the adoring fans, she is quite lonely. Those that are close to her she holds very dear and will do anything to protect. But to try and fill the heart-wrenching loneliness in her heart, Satine tends to throw herself onto the closest (and richest) guy she can find. She also has a love for liquor, especially sweet and/or expensive spirits.
Bio: Satine's parents died when she was very young and she ended up moving in and out of foster homes for most of her life. At 15, she finally got out of that life when she realized she could use her beauty to her advantage. After getting enough money from rich men, she was able to rent herself an apartment. She's been living there for the past few years while attending high school by day and working as an escort at night. But recently, she's been exclusive to one rich student...

Age: 17
Personality: Christian is a very sweet and kind guy. He's very sensitive and yet passionate and he just absolutely loves to write. When he's not hanging out at the town's local library, he's spending quality time with his friends. He's also smart, talented, understanding, caring, respectful, and is a total gentleman.
Background: Christian has grown up in a household without a mother. His father is a wealthy business-owner and has always expected Christian to be a man instead of standing down and focusing on his silly imagination. Since his father is hardly home, Christian spends most of his time at home finishing homework and writing in his room. He has had a few short stories published in magazines -- but that's about it.

Christian studied himself in his bedroom's floor-length mirror. His school's uniform felt new and looked new. His white button up shirt was neatly tucked in his dress slacks, his school vest was perfectly wrapped around his thin body, and his brown hair was slicked back. He had sat down on his bed as he tied his black dress shoes on. Today was his first day at school and surprisingly, there weren't any nervous knots in his stomach.

He grabbed his matching dress jacket with the school crest on it and hurried out the door to his black Mercedes. He got in and was now headed off to school. When he had got to the school, he found a place to park and pushed through the crowd crowding around the courtyard and front steps to get to the front doors so he could head to the office and grab his schedule before it would be too late. Once he got his schedule, he looked at the expensive watch his father had bought him, clenched around his left wrist. He still had twenty minutes before the morning bell was supposed to ring.

He headed out to the courtyard where he found one of the short brick walls that surrounded a small garden empty. Plopping down on it, he fished in his backpack and withdrew his journal. Right now, he was writing a love story. He was more than half way through it, eager to finish it up.
