Gwen sighs and sits up. "Why so early?" she grumbles through a yawn and rubs her eyes. After a minute she looks over at Devona. "We get dressed now?" she asks getting out of bed still half asleep. Gwen goes over to her dresser and pulls out the outfit Ms. Dew intrusted her to wear when shes getting ready for school.

Devona looked over at Gwen. "It's not really that early," She said, glancing at a clock that read 8:30 on her side of the room. On Gwen's side was a calendar. "My old school started at 7:45. I had to wake up at 6:30 to be ready." She added, waiting to see what Gwen would do about about the dressing issue. If Gwen was okay with it, then Devona would be too. They were sharing a room, after all. Something like this would be bound to come up, right?

"Im not use to getting up before noon..." she mumbles pulling her pjs off and then starts getting dressed. Her tired eyes still closed as she pulls her school clothes on. "To early..." she mumbles again.

Devona felt her face go red and turned quickly, pulling her own clothes off and dressing as fast as she could. "Ah, um, well you're one of the lucky ones then..." She said as pulled her lucky T-Shirt over her head. It had a picture of an owl on it, her favorite animal. "I've heard that in Spain they get up late and stay up late too, not even eating dinner until midnight." She added, thinking of her Spanish teacher in sixth grade. She pretended to be busy fiddling with her pants while she waited for Gwen to get finished dressing.

Gwen finished dressing. She wore a dark red pleated skirt that lands about the middle of her thigh, a white button down dress shirt and knee high white socks with a dark red stripe around the top of the sock. Gwen yawned and sat on her bed lazily starring at Devona. "Ms. Dew said we had to wear this..." she says frowning as she looks down at her clothes. She looked over at the black sneakers with dark red shoelaces the sit by the foot of her bed. "She said uniforms looked better." she says looking back at Devona. "Did she make it up?"

"W-what?!" Devona didn't know whether or not they had uniforms, the vague letter outlining everything they needed just said to bring 'appropriate school attire', whatever that meant. She looked at her own clothes, unsure of what to do. Where would they get the uniforms? And would she need to buy one? What if she got in trouble for not having one? She started biting her lip, a nervous habit she'd developed over the years.

Gwen gets up and goes to the small wooden cupboard that stood at the end of her bed, they both had one and used it as a closet to hang up some of the clothes. "See Ms. Dew got me a bunch of uniforms so I wouldnt have to wear the same clothes everyday." shes says letting Devona see the other dress shirts, pleated skirts and a couple of dark red jackets that matched her skirts. "You...you can borrow one if you want...I dont want to make you look lame if we dont have to wear them..." she shrugs looking at Devona.

Gwen leaves her cupboard open and then goes to sit on her bed and puts on her shoes.

Devona looked at Gwen gratefully. "That would mean a lot to me, thanks!" She said enthusiastically, quickly pulling off her pants so she could change into a skirt. She looked down at herself, and decided to cover up her T-shirt with one her own jackets, a black one. "Maybe if we go together like this, even if there isn't a uniform, we won't look so strange," She added hopefully.

Gwen nodded and smiled as she almost skipped to the door. "Ok, let's go." she said seemingly more happy and awake now then just a few minutes ago.

Devona stood for a second and watched, then smiled and followed. At least she and her roommate got along. Looking out the door, she saw other girls from their hall shuffling towards the staircase. "Let's follow them, they're not all first years..." Devona whispered to Gwen. She sighed with mixture of relief and apprehension when she saw they were all wearing skirts, some in different colors she guessed to show the year they were in. She would have to figure out where to get the clothes that consisted of the uniform at some point.

Gwen nodded and quickly followed after Devona not wanting to lose her in the crowd of girls that was forming in the hall. Gwen ended up grabbing on to Devonas coat sleeve as they went down the stairs. It seemed like suddenly there was a fair sized crowd of girls, all different ages and all of them seemed to know where to go. "Why does it seem like they all know where to go?" Gwen mumbles as they follow the group off the stairs and out of the girls dorms.

Devona glanced back and continued to follow the other girls. She could barely hear herself think in the clamor of all the girls' voices, so didn't try to push anything. She felt out of place again, with everyone else seeming to know exactly where to go, but it was nice to have someone holding on to her sleeve that she knew. Devona smiled quietly to herself, already thinking about her first letter to write to home. My roommate is pretty cool. We get along really well, even though she doesn't look human. It's nice to have another fellow misfit here.

Gwen followed close behind Devona and held on tight to her hand, she didn't want to take the chance of losing her in the crowd. It wasn't long before they reached another building where all of the girls were gathering. Ms. Dew stood just in front of a set of double doors, her arms held behind her, she was wearing a strange looking jumpsuit that seemed to be molded to her bodies curves.

The other girls mumbled and whispered to each other as they all waited to see what was going to happen next. Looking around Gwen quickly notices that she and Devona were the last ones to join the group.

After a few more minutes another woman appeared beside Ms. Dew, she was wearing the same kind of weird dark blue jumpsuit that Ms. Dew was wearing. Ms. Dew gently hushed the group and called their attention.

"Students your attention please!"she called out. "For those who don't know I'm Ms. Dew. I'll be one of your instructors. This is a good friend and another instructor of yours, Ms. Holly." Ms. Holly smiled and gave a small waved to the group of girls. She might have been an inch or two shorter then Ms. Dew. Her skin was tan while Ms. Dew had pale almost porcelain white skin. Ms. Holly's eyes were a deep green color and her ember colored hair was pulled up into a pony tail and hung down below her shoulders."It's nice to meet you all." She had a soft southern accent.

"Today is orientation so for the next few hours we're going to be showing you around the school, helping to make sure you have your class schedules and school books and then you'll be welcomed to talk to the other instructors. Now if you'll all follow us..." Ms. Dew says. Ms. Dew and Ms. Holly opened the large double doors and then stepped inside letting the girls follow.

Devona watched the small presentation and followed behind the girls as they all moved forward, some of the older ones branching off to different places if they hadn't already. She vaguely wondered why there dressed so strangely, but guessed it was something to do with being witches.

Devona was also a little surprised to see Ms. Dew again; at the very least to learn she was an instructor. Dev had assumed that she was something like a magical social worker, or an aide.

Gwen followed Devona inside and looked around the inside of the room in awe. "For those of you older then 12 you'll be following Ms. Holly. The rest of you will be following me." Ms. Dew says after about five minutes of all of the students had a chance to take in the room.

ooc: I found this picture and thought it might be a good lay out for our school. If you'd rather not use it that's fine I just thought this might give us both the same idea of what the over all lay out looks like. I'm sorry if the pic stretches the screen to much but I wanted to make sure you could read what each label said.

Devona stood next to Gwen, still holding hands, and watched as most of the other girls followed Ms. Holly and some boys joined in with their group or with the other one of older girls.

ooc: so sorry it's been so long. I've been so beat with finals. The regency is kind of like a stand in. I actually found that map as is I didn't take time to edit any of that out. So if you want we can ignore that part. I just wanted us to kind of have the same campus in mind and I thought it was neat that it was already marked up for the different buildings.

ic: Watching as a group of boys along with two male teachers show up and then join their group she watched as some of the older boys and one of the guy teachers go off with the other group. "Do you think we have to go on the tour with them to?" She asked squeezing Devona's hand and hiding behind her more.
