He was late again could the Cheshire cat never show up on time? The Mad Hatter checked his watch again though how he could even tell the Cheshire cat was late was known only to him, the pocket watch he held wasn’t two days late, nor one day late, nor even on time it was just stopped. Ever since Mr. Time had gotten mad at the Mad Hatter for not inviting him to tea and frozen him in perpetual tea time the watch had stopped at tea time. One did learn to miss lunch and dinner and meals more substantial but then he had always loved Tea Time so it wasn’t all bad and he did have many guests so it wasn’t as if he were lonely. So caught up in his thoughts he was that when the Mad Hatter finally snapped to it he looked lost, why was he here again? Oh yes a young man named Alex had taken over Wonderland and he and the Cheshire cat had come up with the fantastic idea of going into Alice’s world and bringing her back to put Wonderland back to normal… if Wonderland could even be considered normal in the first place. A rustling in the bushes startled him but it was merely an umbrella bird going towards the pond to cool off it was a hot day today, it stopped and honked at him indignantly before continuing on its meandering way towards the pond. A disembodied voice in the air around him announced the Cheshire cats arrival before the Mad Hatter actually saw the cat.
Alice hummed softly to herself ignoring the droning voice of her tutor who was reading from a rather boring book. Alice on the other hand was picking flowers and weaving them into a colorful wreath. Her mind was where it always was in Wonderland, or as her sister called it la la land. Her dad thought it was cute that she had her own little world; her mother thought it was bad and tried to get the young woman molded into the person she thought she should be, which was basically a miniature version of herself. Her tutor thought she was childish, her sister, her perfect married 21 year old sister just thought she was crazy. A white rabbit bounded past but there was nothing special about him, he wasn’t wearing a tidy little vest nor did he carry a pocket watch that was two days slow. He was just a normal little bunny of the boring London kind. “Look lively there child” her tutor snapped jerking the young woman out of her thoughts. “But what your reading is so boring” Alice sighed setting the crown of flowers on her blond head. “It isn’t boring it is logical things you must know” the tutor replied opening up the book once more. “Well than logical is boring”

"hello there." Cheshire's voice almost whispering out before he appeared on a low tree branch in front of the hatter.Cheshire smiled widely once he appeared in front of the mad man. Around this time Cheshire would normally be getting a bite to eat or sleeping. Unfortunately he almost did! Looking at the man before him slightly he tilted his own head to the side. "Oh how I love that magnificent hat, hatter." Looking over the man Cheshire could tell he had upsetted hatter. Not knowing how much he decided to continue, "now where do we find Alice again?" He asked as his tail spiralled. "I don't quiet remember." Grunting slightly as he hopped of the branch he was on he looked at the tall man, waiting.
Alex sighed looking around the rather empty thrown room. There was absolutely nothing to do while she was in control, oh wait, there was absolutely anything and everything she could do! Looking at her "kings" outfit she pulled on the overcoat that was hanging on her throne. Smirking at one of the gaurds she stompped off, into the kitchen. "Ruling a kingdom makes one hungry, make me something to eat! I will be in the garden." Huffing out her demands she walked past the cheif and servants through a corridor and into a smaller hallway. At the end of the hallways was a wooden door. When she opened it a somewhat cemetary looking "garden" appeared before her. In the middle was a statue of herself. Sighing she walked towards the edge which was at the end of a cliff, overlooking her kingdom. "I wish more interesting things would happen." She mutters as she waited.

Startled by the sudden appearance, though honestly he shouldn’t be, the Mad Hatter jerked in the direction of the cat that seemed to think it such fun to be a nuisance. “Why hello my dear Cheshire cat better late than never it seems can you never show up on time?” he asked though he didn’t really expect an answer for he kept talking without pause. “Now I’m not exactly sure where Alice will be in her world but I’m sure it can’t be all that hard to find her right? She is just one little girl after all it isn’t like she’s invisible or something” he went quiet thinking, what was Alice’s world like anyway? Was it anything like Wonderland? Maybe it was completely different and much better, Hatter shrugged. “We just have to go up through the rabbit hole right? I mean that is how Alice got down here in the first place”
”Logical isn’t boring you impudent girl, it’s a wonder anyone can put up with you such a strange child you are. I’d be amazed if you could ever find a husband” the tutor continued more to herself then to the barely listening Alice, although she did happen to catch the ending. ”Well if a husband wants me to be anything like you… which I doubt considering you’re just an old spinster, then I shan’t ever marry anyone. I wouldn’t want to become such a boring old busy body with nothing in my head but what I shall wear to the next party” Alice replied taking great delight in the slight reddening of her tutors face that indicated she had hit a soft spot. ”I might not be married but I still know more on the matter then you do girl, and no guy would want you if you act like that” the old tutor replied heatedly fingering a lock of black hair turning grey. ”You mean they wouldn’t want a girl with a mind? Or an imagination? Or a girl who is unafraid of saying exactly what she wants?” Alice sighed already bored with the conversation. She let her mind drift not even hearing the angry retort her tutor threw at her.

Cheshire smiled his unusual cheshire smile and walked towards the Hatter. "Well then. Shall we start?" Wrapping his arm around the Hatters he looked up at the sky and spoke softly. "We should hurry, I have a distinct feeling that someone is watching us." A small rustle came from behind but a small umbrella bird popped out, looking for it's mother it seemed. Sighing inaudably he looked at the tall man beside him. "Which way to the rabbit's hole? It seems we're late, we're late for a very important date." With a wink he waiting for the hatter to go.
Alex's food came fast. Smiling she bit into it and looked out upon the kingdom. "Do any of the spy's have any information?" She asked a small mouse that scurried her way. "No sire. None have returned yet." Nodding her head she picked the mouse up. He was the runt and was kicked out of his family, turning to Alex when she first came to wonderland, helping her take over the kingdom, one of the few who knew he was really a she. Smiling she nodded. "Well here is a snack, keep me up to date please, I have a sneaking suspicion something interesting is going to happen soon." With a nod the mouse ran off, food in hand, and a sigh escaping Alex's lips.

Alice rubbed the bump on her head the results of her tutor chucking the book at her head, apparently she was a air brained day dreamer who would never amount to anything, but Alice hadn’t really been listening so she could have gotten the exact wording wrong. Her attention was instead focused on a tall man strolling through the meadow. Normally she wouldn’t pay him a wit of attention; he just seemed so out of place with his top hat and untidy clothes. No business man would be caught dead looking so… messy. If she didn’t know any better she would have said it was the Mad Hatter, but what would the Mad Hatter be doing in boring old London? But still it was hard to take her eyes off him until with a startled jump she realized her tutor was standing right in front of her. And if steam could literally come out of someone’s ears than her ears would be gushing steam, as it was the tutor was glaring down menacingly at her. ”May I help you?” Alice asked innocently enough,… it didn’t help.
Hatter shook his head of course they were being watching the new king had his spies everywhere any who went against him were killed or at least he figured so once the traitors were arrested they weren’t actually seen again. The umbrella bird scurried across their path honking frantically luckily its mother wasn’t far and she ushered him… her… it away back into the bushes giving a warning honk at the staring pair. “The rabbit hole is this way…. I think” he pointed in one direction and started in another, he had never actually been to the rabbit hole it would be best if they had the white rabbit with them, he would know right? But the white rabbit hadn’t been seen since the new king had taken over. “To be honest my dear cat I had absolutely no idea where the rabbit hole is. Maybe if we just go in this direction we shall eventually find it right?”
