Once Hisoka got her inside, he dropped her down onto the couch.

"As I said before... If you run, I'll bring you back, as many times as it takes for you to relax and get some rest," he said. After a moment, he asked, almost as an afterthought, "have you eaten at all in the last couple of days?"

Kris glared petulantly at him and crossed her arms over her chest, looking almost pouty.

Then she paused, thinking. She'd hunted down a few animals, but she hadn't actually eaten anything. But she just shrugged.

"I'll take that as a 'no,'" Hisoka said evenly. "In which case, while you are relaxing in the bath, I'll find something for you to eat." He glanced at her one more time before going to see to the bath tub. He fully expected to have to carry her back to the cabin at least a few times, and was ready for that eventuality.

Kris waited until he was inspecting the tub, which she'd actually put in a separate room, before she stood up silently, slipping out of the hut. She was trying not to make noise, for now at least.

Once Hisoka had the bath tub filled and heating, he went out to go get Kris again. He'd heard her leave, but he wanted to make sure the bath was ready for when he carried her back the second time. She hadn't gone far, in any case, he knew that already. Her scent was still fresh enough that even he could track her down.

Kris got a little ways away before she started running, hoping to get far enough away that he'd give up and just let her go for a few more days. She could always hope, anyway.

As fast as Kris was, Hisoka was able to catch up to her.

"The bath should be ready by the time I get you back," he commented as he got in front of her. He fully intended on making good on his threats to make her rest.

Kris scowled at him and tried to dodge around him. Smug bastard.

"Stop ordering me around," she growled. She did not want to go back.

"When you decide to take care of yourself and act your age, I will," Hisoka replied. "Until then..." He quickly picked her up and put her over his shoulder again, and headed back towards the cabin.

Kris huffed but didn't fight him this time. She was getting the feeling it might just be easier to listen to him, or at least not put up a fight. For now, anyway.

After the bath, however... Well, that was a whole new story.

Hisoka took her back to the cabin, but this time set her on her feet next to the bath tub.

"It should be warm enough by now," he said. "So take your time and relax, and try not to fall asleep until after you get out again." He grinned slightly so she would know he was teasing her with the last part.

Kris shot him a look before she turned away, stripping quickly before stepping in the tub. She didn't care if he was still around.

She sank into the water easily, keeping her head above the water for now.

Hisoka politely stepped outside of the bathroom, although he stayed against the wall near the door. Just in case she tried to run again, or ended up falling asleep, or wanted someone to yell at.

Kris stayed silent as she washed herself off, not even humming. She scrubbed her hair clean before washing off again. Then she just stayed in the tub for a little while.

Hisoka just let her have the time to herself to calm down some, rather than trying to get her to talk. He'd learned it was something about females in general: they talked the most when they actually wanted to.

Kris finally rinsed off again before she got out, starting to dry herself off. Now she just had to go get another set of clothes from the three or four she had stashed in the little cabin.

Hisoka heard her getting out of the bath tub, and knocked softly on the door.

"If you like," he offered, "I could go and get you something to wear, so you don't have to come out." He was sure he could find her clothes easily enough, if she took him up on the offer.

Kris shrugged, even though he couldn't see it. "If you want."

She didn't mind going and getting her clothes herself. She'd been around for a long time. Modesty wasn't something she had anymore.

"Is there anything in particular you want me to bring you, then?" Hisoka asked. That was something he'd observed just about Kris: she tended to have favorite comfort pieces that she wore whenever she could.

"There should be sweat pants and a tank top," Kris said after a moment. "Otherwise, whatever you find is fine."

Although, knowing him, he'd go through everything just to find those two things. Weird cat.

Hisoka nodded, although she couldn't see him through the door, and went to go look for the clothing. It took him a couple of minutes, but he was able to find what she had asked for without going through EVERYTHING in the cabin, and he made sure the rest of the clothes were folded neatly before going back and knocking on the door again.

"Here," he said. "I found what you asked for."

"Thanks." Kris opened the door part way, holding out a hand for the clothes. He seemed more modest than she was, so she'd just take the clothes and get dressed before she started thinking of another way to escape.

Hisoka handed her the clothes, and then leaned against the wall to wait for her to come back out.

Kris got dressed before she emerged again. She glanced over at him before she moved outside. She still had work to do, after all.

Hisoka followed her without a word. He would bring her back inside if he thought she was going to work herself into the ground again.
