Kris laughed more. "Well, it's not like you're exactly normal in this family." She smirked at Hisoka.

Inutaisho snorted. "Like you're much better?"

Kris just shot him a withering look.

Hisoka just resisted the urge to roll his eyes, and but looked between them. He knew very well that this was likely to be a long-standing contest between the two, but as long as it didn't actually turn ugly, he could deal with it.

Inutaisho snorted. "Come. We have arrangements to make."

Kris got up carefully, glancing at Hisoka questioningly.

"Hisoka, I believe Inuyasha is trying to show the kit to Ah-Un. Perhaps you'd be good enough to go supervise them."

Hisoka barely managed to suppress a grin.

"Of course, my lord," he replied, getting up. It was never a good idea to leave Inuyasha unsupervised, especially around Ah-Un. And since Sesshoumaru was currently 'preoccupied,' the duty fell to Hisoka.

Inutaisho waited until Hisoka was gone to have his little 'chat' with Kris. A 'chat' that involved them moving far enough away from the house that they wouldn't disturb anyone else when they started fighting. But they did come to an agreement.

Kris limped back over to a nice tree and flopped in the shade, giving herself a few minutes to heal. Fighting Inutaisho had been harder than fighting Sesshomaru, but she'd won in her own way. Still smug with that, she didn't mind the slowly-healing cuts and bruises.

Plus she was far enough away that she could watch Hisoka and the two little ones without them flocking to her.

Hisoka knew exactly what was going on under the pretense of 'arrangements being made.' He wouldn't interfere, though; he knew it had to be done. So he settled on keeping an eye on Shippou and Inuyasha as the two wrestled about and tried to play with Ah-Un.

Kris took her time before she went back to Hisoka and the other two. Almost immediately the two little ones decended on her and tried to drag her over to Ah-Un. Kris dug in her heels a little, looking at Hisoka for help.

"Boys," Hisoka said, trying not to smile to much, "why don't you both go inside for a bit and play with your new toys?" It would be easier to keep an eye on them, that way, and Kris wouldn't be dragged into playing with both the children and a dragon at the same time.

Shippou knew that for what it was and grabbed Inuyasha, pulling the pup with him inside. Kris let out a sigh of relief. The kids she could deal with. The kids and a dragon? Not so much.

"Last dragon I was this close to decided I looked like a nice snack," she muttered to Hisoka, keeping half her attention on Ah-Un.

"Ah-Un is well-trained," Hisoka murmured in return. "He knows better than that, even when his lordship isn't around to keep him in line." Although the dragon did like to test his limits from time to time, though Hisoka didn't say that.

"Maybe next time I'll go say hi." Kris looked at the dragon for a few moments before she headed after the little ones, still bruised. But she didn't mind so much now.

"How did the discussion go?" Hisoka asked. He knew very well that 'discussion' was used in the very broadest of meanings.

"Well enough," Kris said with a shrug. "We came to an agreement if it ever becomes necessary." She glanced over at him, shutting the back door after them.

And it would very well become necessary, if Hisoka got his way.

"I'm glad everything worked out," he said.

Kris nodded and went to go relax and watch the kids. They were pretty good at entertaining themselves, fortunately. Especially once Shippou pulled out the puzzles.

Several days later, after they had finally emerged from seclusion, Aura followed Sesshoumaru to the dragon stables. Or rather, she let herself be carried to the dragon grounds, since they were a fair ways off and there was no way they would make anything resembling good time if she had to walk.

Sesshomaru carried her easily towards the stables. They still had a little ways to go, but he wanted to show her.

"I should tell you, there will be other youkai there," Sesshomaru said quietly as he ran. "They will not bother you, but Katashi might comment."

"I'll stay close to you," Aura replied. Not that she would do anything else. Their mating was still far too new for her to want to wander very far from him yet.

Sesshomaru humake med his approval of that and kept going. It didn't take more than another two hours to get to the stables, and then he set her down. Several dragons were out wandering around lazily.

Aura got her feet back under her quickly, being used to that kind of travel by now. She did stay very close to him, though, a little wary of the dragons milling about.

Sesshomaru started walking, not getting any closer to the dragons for now, instead going to go find Katashi.

The dragon keeper found them first, his eyebrows shooting up when he saw Aura. Then his lips stretched into a huge grin.

"Well, well! This is the little lady who's been hogging your attention." Katashi grinned.

Aura couldn't help but blush the slightest bit at that, but she didn't say anything. Couldn't argue with the truth, after all, and she'd been very noticeably the center of Sesshoumaru's attention lately.

"Aura, this is Katashi. He is head of the stables here. Katashi, this is my mate, Aura." Sesshomaru preened just a little bit.

"Mate, huh?" Katashi grinned. "Nice to meet you, little lady."

"What he failed to mention is that my first name is actually Aurellia," Aura said with a bit of a grin. "But I do go by Aura. It's nice to meet you too."

Katashi grinned. "Would you like my tour or his tour?"

Sesshomaru huffed in amusement but left it up to Aura. He didn't mind either way.
