"Uh huh," Aura replied disbelievingly, grinning.

Kris rolled her eyes. "Oh hush. Eat your breakfast." She got up to clean up some, since she knew she wouldn't have time later.

"Yes, ma'am," Aura teased, turning back to her breakfast once she made sure Katsuro was working on his.

Kris let them all eat before she picked up Aiko, carrying her outside while her other two followed.

"Alright kids, go run a few laps while we figure out what to challenge you with today."

Aura helped usher the kids outside and then went to stand with Kris. Grinning a bit, she reached over and rubbed behind one of Aiko's ears, and then one of Kris's.

Aiko relaxed almost instantly, and Kris relaxed a little and then shot Aura a Look.

"Nobody's watching," Aura replied to the Look. "And I did it for Aiko too, so there's no favoritism."

"Hmph." Kris set Aiko down once the others returned from their run, watching them go to Sesshomaru to see what he had in mind for today.

"So, decided it's time for another one?"

"Apparently, he's been entertaining the thought for the last year," Aura replied. "He wants a daughter. And to be honest, so do I. So we agreed it's time to try for one."

Kris nodded. "I think Hisoka wants another one, too, but he hasn't said anything yet." She shrugged. "Wouldn't surprise me, really. Apparently he has a lot of siblings, and he's not at all against the idea of having just as many children."

"And what do you think about it?" Aura asked. "I mean, I know you didn't exactly come from a big family... Sess and I are trying for a second, but another one for you will make four."

Kris shrugged. "I don't mind. It's a lot of work, but it's kind of nice, having a full house. I don't think I want as many kids as he does, but another two or three would be fine."

Aura nodded, understanding.

"I don't know that I want that many, but I wouldn't mind another pup or two," she said. "Especially if one of them is a little girl."

Kris nodded. "Yeah. We'll you've still got plenty of time to change your mind later." She grinned briefly. "Especially once these ones get older and start moving out."

"Yeah," Aura replied. She stretched a little and watched the children. "I hope Katsuro doesn't get jealous if a little sibling comes along..."

Kris was quiet for a few moments. "I can't say if he will or won't," she admitted. "But he's used to having this pack, so he's already used to the idea that while you're his mother, you also give attention to the other pups and kits. So it might take some adjustment, but it won't be a totally alien idea to him either."

"I hope it's that simple," Aura replied. "I just remember when Inuyasha was jealous when Katsuro was born..." She sighed slightly, and then shook her head. "We'll see. Sess wants a daughter, so we're going to try for one."

Kris nodded. "Yeah. We'll see how things go." She grinned briefly and rubbed Aura's shoulder. "You've still got plenty of time, too, no need to rush and have all your kids right now."

"So says the one about to try for a fourth," Aura teased. She grinned. "I know. We'll probably settle with two for now. If more come later on, then that's alright, but two are fine."

Kris just grinned and nodded.

"Well, we're both a lot older than you are. Besides, I figured once we have four or five Hisoka will see the flaw in his logic and say that's enough."

"Almost everyone is a lot older than I am," Aura pointed out. "Half the kids are, even." Which was easy to forget, sometimes, since she was one of the adults, technically.

"Shippou is the only one, I think," Kris said with a shrug. "Inuyasha isn't that old, and Alex is a little bit younger than him. As far as we can tell, anyway."

"And I'm not even thirty yet," Aura pointed out. She quirked a bit of a grin. "According to you, still a baby."

"Practically." Kris snickered. "That's okay, we're used to thinking of you as an adult now." She paused. "Most of the time."

"Most of the time?" Aura repeated, raising an eyebrow a bit. She was grinning, though, so she didn't take any offense to it.
