The Doctor landed the TARDIS in an alleyway in London . It was always good to be back to a place he enjoied , not that there weren't other places he liked to go , but London was his favorite . "Thank you for safe landing you sexy thing ." He said to the TARDIS as he got out. He wondered what was in store for this visit .

Bergen Tranot aka Ben Taylor was pleased. This latest business was now extremely successful and everything was going according to his plans .He had bought this business six months ago with the plan of saving it from closIng and the workers losing their jobs. He had done the same thing for 10 other businesses like this one with the intent of taking over London's communicatin system . As far as he knew , none of the workers suspected anything was wrong. He didn't like Humans very much . He looked at his schedule and went to a meeting with the supervisors . He wanted to know who wasn't performing to his standards.

Even though Ben Taylor thought none of the workers suspected anything was wrong, Alana was the only one who did. Alana played along to get on everyone's side and make friends with all the workers. As her father always said, you must become the enemy in order to be the enemy. It was around lunch time, Alana thought she would go investigate. Alana didn't work for anyone as any kind of spy or investigator. she worked alone. Most people knew her as a loner in her family. Though she knew the dangers she could get herself into but she didn't care. She wanted to be useful in the world other then sitting at home watching the television and eating junk food all day.

Alana was not married. She hadn't even gone out with a guy before. She seemed to be the type to scare off guys. As everyone was in the break room, Alana quietly stepped out heading to the elevator. She wasn't sure where to investigate but she thought maybe there was something in the basement. When the elevator opened she went inside and pushed the button that had a B on it for basement.

Ben Taylor was given a list of those who were doing well, those who needed to improve and then those to be terminated. He wouldn't kill the ones on the third list , just reassign them to one of his other businesses to be re trained . The bad thing about that was the training would not be on Earth. He went down to the basement level to see how his project was coming. He grinned at what he had planned . He loathed Humans and their simple technology. Normally it would have taken him years to reach this point, but on Earth, six months. He thought he saw someone down here in the basement as he was heading back to his office and went to investigate.

When Alana heard someone come downstairs to the basement, she found the nearest thing to hide behind. She placed her hand over her mouth so Ben wouldn't hear her breathing heavily. After he left back to his office she sighed with relief. She took out a flashlight that she had with her in the bag she had. She turned it on. Though it didn't turn on automatically, she had to hit it with her palm a few times for it to finally work. Looking around the basement, she needed to find out why he saved this business. Her eyes analyzed everything in the basement. In the basement didn't seem to have anything. His office probably has all of the information I need. But he probably went back into his office. I need to make a diversion. She thought to herself.

Looking around she tried to find a diversion. Looking around, she saw the fire alarm out of the corner of her eye. A smirk spread across her lips. She walked up to it and pushed the fire alarm. It soon went off, everyone was moving out of the building, rushing out of the entire building. She had taken the stairs this time up to Ben Taylor's office.

Ben heard the fire alarm and had the workers go out to the front lawn until the Firemen came. He was susupious on what would have caused the alarms to go off so suddenly. He would make sure it wasn't anyone who wanted to go through his office, but would wait till after this was over. He had a few suspicions on who it might be, but still needed more evidence .

While the alarm had been going off, Alana went into Ben's office closing the door behind her and locking it as well, she went through his files trying to find the information she needed. When she came across the business' records she looked through it carefully. Alana looked through more and more files. The more she looked through each file, the more she began to figure out he was after taking over London's communication System. So that's why he saved this business. To take over London's communication system. She had taken the files and placing them into her bag. She was going to have to tell someone this, but who would she tell? She wasn't even sure yet. She swiftly unlocked the door and walked out, going with the crowd of workers to the front lawn.

The staff was allowed back into the building and hour later. Ben went back to his office and looked for his files. he looked for them and realized they were missing. He wasn't very happy with this development and had to find who ever stole them.

Alana didn't go back to work. She went into the shop that was nearby the place she worked. Not paying attention she bumped into a man who was taller then her that was for sure. "I'm so sorry I wasn't watching where I was going." When she looked up, she noticed a man with a red bow tie, with a tan coat and with brown hair. She didn't know who he was, but he was handsome that was for sure.

[I thought she would bump into the doctor :3]

" That's quite alright. I wasn't paying much attention . Is everythn alright? " The Doctor asked. The girl seemed to be in a hurry . " Let's get some tea and get out of dodge . " He sensed something was amiss here and he wanted to find out what it was .

"Okay." Alana said. Alana wasn't sure why but this man seemed to be much different then all of the other guys she had run across too. But yet that's what was drawing her into him. "I'm Alana." She told him. "What about you? Who are you if I may ask, as I know we are strangers but I don't mind telling you my name, you seem quite nice. After all I did bump into you." She said with a smile.

" Nice to meet you Alana. It isnt a problem. All of my friends have started out as strangers . I'm The Doctor. Do you know where the Nearest tea shop might be? I'm not familer with this part of London." He said and kept aware of his surroundings . He felt a strange presence in the area but couldn't quite place it.

"Yes I do." Alana said guiding him to follow her as she waved her hand for him to follow as she left the current shop and walking to a few shops ahead to a tea shop. Or more like some sort of cafe. It looked pleasant. She walked inside but not before letting the doctor in before. She sat down at a booth with him. "So your called the doctor? Doctor what exactly?" she asked.

" Just The Doctor really . " He said when they arrived at the cafe. They were taken to a table and The Doctor said , " What seems to be troubling you?" He looked at the menu and decided on tea and Jammie dodgers with soup. He wasn't very hungry but would eat to not appear rude.

"Just the doctor? Seems very secretive but I think it sounds pretty swift." She told him with a smile. Alana ordered some Vanilla chai tea. She wasn't hungry due to the nervous stomach I had. "You could say I felt something was wrong to where I was working and now I figured out what my boss is trying to do and I don't have a clue on to what to do about the information I discovered. Do you see that building across from us? That tall large building? I work there. But my boss Ben Taylor..he is trying to take over London's communication system." Alana whispered. "I swear I am not crazy, I know what I am saying sounds bizarre."

The Doctor looked in the direction of the large building that Alan pointed to . " I do see the building . Your boss is trying to take over London's communication system? It does sound bizarre but I'm an expert in bizarre things."The Doctor said in a serious tone." Do know if he owns other businesses? "This sounded somewhat familiar to The Doctor, he had heard something about that on another world he was on recently. He wondered if this was connected.

"I'm not sure. He probably does though." Alana told him. "I found his classified files. I can show you them if you want. I just don't know what I am suppose to do now that I know this information but I want to do something to help." Alana said keeping her eyes on the doctor as she put her back aside opening it and taking out the vanilla folders placing them onto the table gently and slowly pushing them towards the doctor. "These are the files I found. Yes I know I took them. But I did what I had to do to find out the truth."

" I can help you with this . I know of some people that might be able to help also , but first I want to pay a visit to this Ben Taylor. I suppose now he has gone home and will be back in tomorrow. " The Doctor said . He wouldn't call UNIT yet, knowing that they had a lot on thier plate after the last Dalek invasion.

"Yeah sure. Yeah he is probably at home. I usually go to work around nine in the morning. You can come with me when I come into work tomorrow if you would want to. Though he probably is suspicious about me now though. Good thing I didn't really like this job." Alana said with a chuckle before sipping her tea when it arrived.

" I'll meet you in the ally that is a near your work. " The Doctor said and started to eat the Jammie Dodgers.

The next day The Doctor waited for Alana in the alley where they met the day before . He was ready to investigate what this Ben Taylor was really up to. If that was his real name in the first place.

Ben Taylor now knew who had take those files . He would confront her once she arrived to work. He knew there were few people on this planet who would believe her, but the chance that she met any of them were slim.

The next day Alana walked into the alley meeting up with the doctor. "Ready to go doctor?" She asked with a smile. She knew Ben Taylor probably knew she had the files since she was hardly seen during the fire alarm when every worker went outside plus she didn't come back to work after the alarm was over with.

But since she had met the doctor she knew they would both try and bring Ben Taylor down. She was always suspicious of this Ben Taylor. Something just seemed off since the first day she met him.

" Ready as I'll ever be ." He said as he followed her. He knew this meeting would be interesting.

Ben Taylor saw Alana and another man enter the building he had her paged to his office . He wondered who this stranger was . He doubted this man was as intelligent ad Bergen Traynor Intergalactic business man. He was always a step or two ahead of the investigators of the Galactic Assembly and figured that Earth wasn't know by them. " Hello Alana. I'm glad you and your friend could make it . Would you both sit down please."

Alana smiled at the doctor and stepped into the building. Seeing Ben, she could feel her stomach doing all sorts of flips. She sat down in one of the seats in his office he had. She didn't have a good feeling about this. But she was not going to be a coward and runaway like a typical person would do. London was depending on her and the doctor. "I know what you are up to." Alana said.

" You do? What do you think I'm up to anything at all?" Ben Taylor said. He wanted to stall these two for as long as he could .Soon the city would be his and these two would not stop him.

The Doctor knew Taylor was trying to stall them and would play along for a little bit. He already had a plan on how to stop the city from losing control of communication. It was a risky one but it was worth it.

Alana knew the doctor was playing around so Alana did too. "Your going to promote me right?" She asked with a smile. "I have been working here since this business opened so I believe someone should be promoted and that someone is me." Alana said. "I'm always at work on time, i get things done faster then the others. There is no reason not to promote me sir."

" That's right. I am going to promote you. Tomorrow will be the first day in your new position. I first need to make some arrangements to get things ready." Traynor said. She would be promoted just not in the way she was thinking. It would take most of today to prepare things for these two. " I hope to see you bright and early tomorrow."
