Lisanna knodded, Go ahead and practice a few times before we go any further. Jolene brightened up, And I can put out any fires that might try to go out of control.

Sara recited the fire spell to practice using it as an offensive move. She was careful not to set anything on fire, not wanting to cause any damage.

Jolene found five sticks and placed the in the ground. The first at 5 feet, the second at 10 feet, the third at 15 feet, the fourth at 20 feet, and the last at 25 feet. She then get in position to contain things if the fire spell got out of control.

Lisanna watched Sara go over her spell while Jolene set up the targets. When she saw the targets were in place she knodded and spoke to Sara, Okay Sara. We have five targets for you. Each one a bit further than the last. Let's see how far away you can work and control the fire spell. She smiled encouragement to Sara and stepped back.

Sara nodded and recited the spell . She hit the 5ft and 10 ft without trouble , but as she tried to get the further poles she was starting to have trouble. She knew would take her sometime to adjust to using this spell as an offensive technique.

Jolene quickly used water to put out the spells that hadn't hit their targets. Lisanna knodded and smiled, See, it is possible. You did well Sara. A wall of water erupted up around them. Jolene shouted, ambush! while quickly rotating the water shield to deflect the air attacks. All around them bodyguards appeared up in the branches or from behind tree trunks.

Sara prepared to use her fire spell against the air attacks of the guards. She missed some of the attacks ,causing her to fall over , but others she hit . She would do what she could to help her friends.

Lisanna took to the air and got above the bodyguards. Watching their arms to get an idea where the wind attacks were aimed, she started dodging them and fly in close. Those attacks were delivered with their arms, so to disable the attacks meant disabling the arms. She got in close to one and clawed his arm to shreds. He screamed and started waving his arms in front of him scazily. She grinned and backed off.

She saw Sara catch a bodyguard's sleeve on fire right before he released an air attack. Watching in fascination, she saw the little red flame flare to golden hell as it flew off the sleeve and engulfed the air that had been gathered for the attack. So that was how they attacked. They gathered the air into a ball above their hands. You just couldn't see that because of air being invisible. Now with it glowing bright and roaring loud, everyone could see how the attack was created.

Jolene let her shield fall as some of the bodyguards got within the parameters. She quickly summoned her sword and took up a defense pose. They tested each others parries and then one thrusted in. She blocked it close and then used her elbow to smash his nose. With him preoccupied momentarily with his bleeding face, she quickly turned and met the next sword. Doing a double jab with it, she again got in close and head-butted the guy. His face went blank and he fell over backwards. Swirling around she turned to meet another head on. He was distracted by the blaze of fire that was dying out nearby, so she easily knocked his sword aside and used the back of the handle of her sword to knock him out. They were from Fairy Tail and Fairy Tail guild members didn't kill if they could help it.

Sara continued to use the fire spell against the air attacks, not being able to use a sword. She knew she would have to get one if she wanted to be able to defend herself. She knew she didn't want to kill the guards ,but if they got burned it was their own fault.

Lisanna switched her soul take over from a large bird to a tiger. Sara had those with air attacks focused on her, so she charged in at them from behind. Taking them out quickly, she turned and grinned at Sara. Jolene joined them and winked. That was the toughest group yet, but by working together I think we successfully repelled them. Not bad for a first day. Lisanna turned and looked ahead through the trees. The encampment is around that next hill. Let's sneak up on them, if they haven't heard us already.

" Sounds like a good plan. " Sara said, glad that she was able to help. She walked carefully with Jolene and Lisanna toward the encampment.

As they approached, they heard voices. Taking the clue, they crouched down and slowly crawled through the brush. Reaching near the edge, they were surprised by that they found. Two of the bodyguards were sitting near a fire bragging to each other.

Guard 1, "I can't believe they sent girls after us."
Guard 2, "I know! That blows my mind. I mean they have gotten lucky so far."
Guard 1, "Lucky? We sent them the youngest and newest of our training technique. I bet the last group is out there right now, polishing them off."
Guard 2, "Your right. They will never make it to the base of the mountain. Hahahahaha."
Guard 1, "And they won't be able to push the red button either, even if they did make it to the mountain and past the yeti."

Lisanna thought about their instructions. They were to wipe out the bodyguards, the yeti, and investigate an artifact. Evidently the bodyguards were here, the yeti at the base of the mountain, and the artifact involved a red button.

Jolene knodged Lisanna, "You were right about seeing something by the base of the mountain. It must have been the Yeti. That Yeti is probably the growing noises as well that Sara has been hearing."

Sara listened to the conversation the guards were having and wasn't happy." We must be close then to where the yeti is." She whispered , feeling a little tense that there were stronger guards still out there .

Jolene knodded in agreement with Sara. Seeing how tense Sara was starting to become, she reached over and patted her shoulder. Keep your chin up. I would love to see the looks on their faces when they find out that the last group they sent out just got their asses kicked. She remembered Sara's new offensive skill with fire and grinned. Bet they didn't see you and your fire technique coming either.

Lisanna glanced at the sky, Let's take care of this encampment of bodyguards. With the bodyguards out of the way, we will only have the yeti left. Let's take care of him tomorrow. It is nearing evening and we might as well go back to our own campsite and get some sleep. She looked determinedly at the bodyguards before her. They were standing between her and supper.

Sara nodded at the encouragement." Thank you Jolene.I would too like to see their faces."She said in a low voice. It was different being in a guild that cared about each of the members. " Sounds like a good idea." She said to Lisanna.

Jolene looked around the encampment. There were 5 groups of tents set up in small circles. Each group have 4 or 5 tents. In the center was a larger open tent that appeared to serve as a mess hall. The group of tents closest to them was the only place in the encampment with bodyguards. It seemed the bodyguards that lived in the rest of the camp had been defeated earlier. Hey Sara, can you crawl around to the other side? When you get there, you can start a diversion by lighting one or two tents on fire. Jolene squinted and examined the group of tents closest to them. Lisanna, you back up and soul take over into something big that can fly. Get up into a tree and be ready to swoop in when Sara has the diversion created. Quickly calculating how many bodyguards could possibly be in the tents, she grinned "I'll come in from here. I think we are in luck. There should only be about 10 bodyguards left. Are you ready? She looked to each of them for confirmation.

" Think I can. And am ready. " She said with confidence. " Let me know when you are ready for me. " Sara said getting ready to create the diversion.

Lisanna knodded in agreement with Sara. I also am ready. Just give a signal of some kind when you are ready. She slipped quietly backwards until she had disappeared into the trees. Then she climbed up into a tree and leaped silently from branch to branch until she was back towards the encampment. She pondered over what to transform into that would work well and decided on going mythical.

Jolene watched Sara and Lisanna slowly crawl out of sight in the tangled underbrush. She looked down at the pieces of twigs that were caught and broken on her own clothes. It would be so nice to get cleaned up tonight. Oh man, these bodyguards were between her and a nice bath in a cool spring. She narrowed her eyes and waited patiently. After awhile, she decided it was time to go. Surely they were in position now? She closed her eyes and tried to think of some sort of signal for Sara.

A signal Sara would recognize ... That's It! Jolene focused and bent her water magic until it started to sprinkle. There had been no clouds earlier, but with it being dusk the bodyguards wouldn't notice. She encouraged the sprinkles closer until she was sure a few drops must be hitting Sara... wherever Sara had crawled to on the other side of the encampment.

Sara felt the sprinkles and knew it was a signal from Jolene . She had crawled near a set of tents and then quietly recited the fire spell directing it toward two of the tents. She quickly crawled away , knowing the guards would soon be there to investigate the fires.

Lisanna watched from her perch as the small twirl of smoke slowly rose from two tents. Then one of the tents erupted into flames. The men at the campfire jumped up and started shouting. Soon more came out of the tents, everyone looking in horror at the tents. She grinned. There were ten and they were only now realizing they didn't control the situation they were in. She leapt into the air and transformed.

Jolene grinned at hearing the shouting and the tinge of fear in the anger. She looked over at them amused, then her eyes widened. A kraken flew down from the sky as if the gods were angry and landed amongst the men. To pull off such an unusual form, Lisanna was using too much magical energy. She would be drained in just a few minutes. Pushing herself up off the ground, Jolene wielded her sword and rushed into camp.

Sara jumped up from where she was getting ready to use the fire spell against the wind attacks. She was ready for anything at this point.

Lisanna landed with a thud that shook the ground. She wrapped a tentacle around each of the ten men effectively trapping their arms to their sides. This was the best the bodyguards had to offer? Whoever taught them either did a horrible job or the the training program was ineffective. True is had seemed cool, but they had no imagination. She saw Jolene running towards her. Looking at the far side of camp, she saw Sara jump up poised for action.

Jolene reached them and stood there grinning. They couldn't do anything in the grasp of a kraken. Lisanna had gone all out. Climbing up Lisanna from slick tentacle to the next, she used the back of her sword to knock them unconscious. Looking around, she saw Sara, Sara, grab me some rope. Let's get these guys tied up so... With a heave and shudder Lisanna's kraken form convulsed and collapsed. Jolene felt herself falling and landed on the ground hard. Groaning she looked up and around. Lisanna had transformed back into her human self and lay on the ground unconscious. The magical drain to hold that soul take over had been too much. Now she and the bodyguards were a pile of forms... unconscious to the world.

Sara founds some rope for Jolene and hurried back to help. She saw Lisanna unconscious and looked around for Jolene , feeling worried that something bad had happened.

Jolene slowly got up and rubbed her bruised shoulder, I'm over here Sara. She stumbled over and came to stand beside her. Lisanna shouldn't have used her soul take over to change into a mythical creature. It used up too much of her magical energy. She is going to be out for awhile. Turning, she looked over at the tents that were ablaze and grinned. You on the other hand gave them a good show. She grinned at Sara, Your getting better and a little bit stronger with the fire spell. Go ahead and practice your ground barrier one so you can strengthen that one to. Put up a wall to protect you while you are tying them up.

Flexing and rotating her thrubbing shoulder, she thought for a moment. They might as well get some extra supplies while they were here. Might be something handy to help with Lisanna. I'm going to loot these tents over here, see if there is something that will help Lisanna. Then I'll carry her and we can head back to our own camp. Supper is going to taste good after all the exercise we have done today. And a little food would replenish our magical energy levels.

" I am glad I'm getting stronger and I will practice my ground magic. Would you also like me to put a wall around the guards when I'm done tying them up ? "Sara asked and used a mid level ground spell to protect herself as she tied up the guards. She was happy that she had so much support from her guild mates. Sara hoped Lisanna would be alright.

That's a great idea Sara! Jolene agreed as she headed toward the tents. Ducking inside and looking around, she picked up two bags and pushed food and medical supplies inside. Then she rolled three blankets together and tied them on top of one of the bags. That would make tonight incredibly more comfortable. She looked around and then hefted the bags with one in each hand. Heading outside and back over to where Sara had the guys tied up, she watched in appreciation as Sara erected a barrier around them. They were staying put, and relatively safe, until soldiers or a guard came to pick them up. Pity they didn't have a communications lacrima to contact the guild with. Those were expensive though and not even the guild could afford to have a set much less loan them out for jobs.

Placing the backpack with the rolled blankets on top beside Sara, she patted her shoulder and then walked over to Lisanna. She was still out and probably would be for another hour or two. Putting her own bag on, she knelt down and checked Lisanna's pulse. It was strong so she would be fine. Reaching an arm around her shoulders, she pulled Lisanna up and over her own shoulder so that she was carrying Lisanna like a bag with her shoulder taking the weight. Rising using her thigh muscles so spare her back, she turned and joined Sara. She'll be fine. Don't worry. Grab that other backpack and let's head back to camp.
