Sara nodded and put on the bag and followed Jolene back to camp. She hoped tomorrow they could find the yeti and the artifact, though she was confused why there would be a button to push.

Once back at camp, Jolene carefully put Lisanna to bed. Let her sleep and regain some magical energy in oblivion. She grinned at Sara and opened up her backpack to pull out some of the stolen food. They were going to eat well tonight. Stoking the fire, she started setting up food to roast.

Sara took off the bag she had on and took out the supplies." Is there anything I can do to help?" She asked as she finished unloading the bag.

Jolene looked up and thought for a moment. Well, just because we took care of the bodyguards that we knew of doesn't mean there isn't more to worry about. Do you have enough magical energy left to erect barriers around the camp? They had all used a lot of energy today. She didn't blame her if she was tired and worn out.

" I think I might. " Sara said, feeling tired. Sara was willing though to make sure the camp was safe from any attack that might happen overnight. Sara traced a line around the camp , while giving them room to move around. " I promise I can deactivate the barrier once we are ready to go. " Sara said , once she had finished and sat by the fire.

Jolene knodded with relief to Sara's reassurances. The idea of climbing out wasn't appealing, if that was even possible. Here, come get some chow. She smiled and gave a tired wink. It's been a long day. Some energy would do us both good. She looked across the fire towards their shelter. The tarp canopy moved a bit with the breeze, but was a strong roof. Lisanna would be fine even in a storm until she woke up again. At this point, that might as well be morning since it was night. She thought how amusing the bodyguards were. Sure their fighting techniques and magic had been scary at first since you couldn't see the attack coming. However, they had been weak and easily defeated. Must be something new, as nothing tried and true would have been as arrogantly used.

Sara went to get some food and started to eat." Thank you." She said to Jolene and sat down to eat. She wondered what sort of things she would learn tomorrow and if they would find the yeti.

Jolene was tired. After finishing supper, she went to check on Lisanna. Lisanna seemed to be sleeping peacefully so Jolene added more wood to the crackling fire before retiring to bed herself. She lay there for a minute listening to the sounds of the night before drifting blissfully into sleep.

After supper, Sara went to where her things were. She looked at the spell book she had to see which other ground spells she needed to work on. She then laid down and fell asleep slowly knowing she needed to regain her energy.

Waking up slowly to the sounds of a morning dove, Jolene opened her eyes and alertly looked out at the gray dawn light filtered by morning mist. She rolled onto her side and felt her muscles groan with soreness. Reaching out a hand, she touched Lisanna's cool forehead. Lisanna's eyes flittered open and she moaned. Looking over at Jolene, she grimaced. "How long have I been out?" Jolene shook her head and slowly got up. Offering Lisanna a hand, she answered, "Just overnight. Come on, let's get you drinking some tea while I start breakfast." They walked from the shelter through the dew-moist grass to the firepit. Goals were still glowing within its embrace. Lisanna sank onto a damp log and reached over to start some tea. Jolene build the fire back up into a roaring comfort whose heat soothed the aches. She grinned as energy flowed into her that you can only get when you wake to the rising sun. Getting some good hot cereal started, she sat beside Lisanna and contemplated on what kind of morning they might possibly be facing.

Sara woke up to the smell of food cooking and sat up slowly. She smiled when she saw Lisanna awake. " Morning." Sara said to Jolene and Lisanna, and wondered what they would face today.

Jolene turned and smiled at the sleepy-looking Sara. "Rise up sunshine. Breakfast is almost ready." She reached down and got a plate of food scooped her for her.

Lisanna knodded while holding her cup of steaming tea. "Morning Sara. Thank you for helping after I fainted last night. Hopefully today won't be quite so draining." She gave an encouraging grin and then took another sip.

Sara took the food and started to eat. "Thank you Jolene." She sad and went to sit down." You are welcome Lisanna. I'm glad to see that you are alright. I hope not either." She said. Sara knew she hadn't used that much energy before , but was feeling stronger today than she had the day before.

Jolene finished up and went around camp straightening up. Then she packed them lunch and swung the backpack on her back. Best to always be prepared.

Lisanna stoked the fire so that it would still be coals when they returned. She gathered more firewood that was inside the barrier so that the fire could be rebuilt quickly when they returned.

Sara finished up and grabbed her satchel and helped to get things in order around camp. " Are you ready for me to put down tha barrier. " She asked.

Jolene knodded, "Yeah, I think it is time. If your ready. She smiled encouragingly at Sara. Sara had been growing a lot in the last day or so and doing well with her skills.

Sara nodded and collapsed the barrier. She hoped she could learn more today, glad that she was finally fitting in with a guild.

Jolene walked out of their camp with purpose. Reaching the road, she looked at the mountain rising in the distance. She grinned in anticipation. Yesterday had been hampered with wave after wave of attacks by bodyguards. With them out of the wave, they simply needed to get to the Yeti. It couldn't be too far from the base of the mountain. She started walking, looking back to see Sara and Lisanna spread out like they had had to yesterday. It was a good idea. Kept them from being one big target. She turned and watched the area in front of her and where she stepped on the rutted road.

Sara was careful as she walked way from the path. She knew they all had to be careful , not knowing if there were other guards protecting the yeti. Sara heard the growing again as they got closer, still wondering if it was the Yeti.

As they neared the base of the mountain, Jolene felt excitement building up in her. They were almost there. She recalled to mind what the master had told them before they left.

Makarov stood by the window and began to explain the job. In the woods to the east is strangely powerful yeti. We don't know much about him but we do know that he is using some dark magic. We suspect he found an artifact to allow him to grow unnaturally fast. Everyday he has it, he grows stronger. He is such a threat to Magnolia that this is being kept secret to avoid panic. Standing between him and that artifact are bodyguards. They are not going to be easy to defeat. Will you be willing to take this job?

They had all said yes. It was their first job as a group so learning to work together had been a priority as much as anything. She felt that they had come a long way in just the one day they had been together.

Stepping through the trees, she saw a clearing ahead. Hesitantly she edged up to a tree at the edge and looked out. Before them was a wide plain devoid of any life. Barren with cracks in the rock, it led up to the base of the mountain. Near the base itself there was ice. The ice thickened towards the base and up partway. In the center of the thickest of this ice was a huge cave. So large an opening that it almost seemed to be a black mouth yawning. She felt an eye twitch as she stood there breathless.

She heard the others coming up behind her. She turned and looked at them just as a sound came out of the cave. Whipping back around she watched as a huge giant of a white shaggy monster came out. He seemed angry and the claws on his hands were quite formidable with the sun gleaming off of them. Then some gray clouds drifted across the sun while a cold wind whipped down from the mountain peak. She shivered with shock, "Why is it so cold all of a sudden!

Sara saw the large monster comeout of the cave and started to shiver. It had gotten so very cold very fast and she shivered. She had to be ready to defend herself and the others against this yeti.

Jolene motioned everyone to be quiet from where she hid behind a tree. Whispering just loud enough to get their attention, she suggested a plan. I'm going to head out there and see what he is made up. Most yeti's only are able to attack physically. However, that cold wind came from somewhere. I'll see what he is made of and then you both can come on in prepared instead of caught off guard. Before either of them could respond, she slipped away through the shadows.

Circling around softly, she felt her heart begin to hammer in her chest. Easing slowly through the shadows of the trees and brush, she made her way around until she was further from her friends. Then she knelt and started pulling water towards her. Soon she had enough to create a sizeable shield. Pulling out her sword, she readied the water to use and dashed out towards the yeti and his cave.

Sara kept an eye on Jolene, hoping she would be alright. She was ready to use her new abilities she if she needed to. She wasn't sure how well her fire attack would work with this very cold wind.

Swinging her sword in front of her as she dashed towards the yeti, she prepared to meet his clawed paws a wind rose up. Her eyes widened as the wind became almost visible. Rushing towards her, the gale force knocked her backwards. Stumbling, she was unable to keep her feet and fell with a thud. Laying there, she struggled to raise an arm to protect her face. The bitter cold was freezing her limbs.

Lisanna gasped from the tree line. She quickly used soul take over to turn into a large bird. Leaping up in to the winds, she was surprised at how strong they were. Letting the wind carry her right for the yeti, she had a clear view of Jolene laying pinned on the ground. As soon as she was close she switched back to human, drew her sword, and tried to strike. However the winds deceived her. Right as she reached him, the winds ceased suddenly slowing her momentum. As if he had seen her coming, he swung around backhanded her across her chest. She was thrown to the side and landed hard. Gasping, she slowly sat up while holding her ribcage. Her sword lay just out of reach.

Jolene saw Lisanna get knocked down and struggled to sit up. Gasping for air, she struggled to make sense out of what happened to her and what she had seen happen to Lisanna. Sudden realization hit her, and it made her sick. That wind was the same technique the bodyguards used. It was stronger with the yeti though. Every bit of wind he controlled was like another being, a spy. It told him what it touched. He knew Lisanna was behind him because she had been using his own wind to get to him. The cold and bitter wind that seemed alive.

Sara saw Lisanna and Jolene get knocked down and used her flame magic to off set the wind. It was working somewhat, though she had to increase the spell as the wind kept blowing in her direction. She was knocked over too, and tried to get back up to fight.
