"It's true..." Ceres commented, getting her keys out of her purse. She fumbled them and dropped them to the ground. "Gah. I was doing so well too..." She'd gone a whole 2 hours not being clumsy.

"That's alright" Eric knelt to pick them up for her, "I find it an endearing quality"

Ceres took the keys and blushed, "I just find it frustrating but, we all got odds quirks in these bodies. I'm clumsy, Juno floats when she's lost in thought, Pallas can't refuse a challenge and gets scars easily and Vesta can't help but hum to herself... I mean... I was clumsy before but nothing like this... or at least as much as I remember."

"That's all part of being human" Eric shrugged, "it's a journey of self discovery and quite often our flaws are what leads us through it"

"You seem to shrug at everything, Mr. Hobbit." She opened the door, "Do you want to come in for some coffee? Or should you go check up on Pietro?"

"I'm sure he's fine" Eric grinned and then added a shrug for the heck of it, "You are much better company anyway"

Ceres giggled and she gave him a playful push, a few strands of her red hair changing back to their normal pink colour. "Then come on in, Shurgy. Pietro is a handsome young man, I'm sure you're rather proud of him." She walked in and slipped off her heels.

"Of course I am, though I have to admit it took me awhile to wrap my head around his... quirks. Not what I was expecting from my boy"

"Ah, I see. I suppose someone has to be the one making everyone's super hero costumes." Ceres walked into the kitchen to make coffee, her hair now almost fully back to pink. "Bold or Decaf?" She asked, looking over her shoulder, her back to him.

"While I consider myself a bold man, better make it decaf this late" Eric chuckled, "thank you"

Ceres chuckled, setting up the coffee maker, "How has regaining control of your powers been going?" She asked casually.

"Phenomenal" Eric replied, relaxing on the couch as he looked at her, "Your hair looks very good in pink. You should keep it that way"

"Huh?" She was pulled the curtains closed on the glass door, "Oh, no I couldn't." She took hold of her hair and started playing with it, "I can't. If I didn't change my hair, the students would clue into who I really am... And the school already gets targeted for other reasons. I don't need to be one of them." Her back was turned from him, her face reflected in the part of the glass door that wasn't covered yet. She loved her pink hair but she couldn't risk it.

Eric stood and walked up behind her, "Then I will simply have to admire it upon our time together" he gently took a few strands of the pink hair and kissed them.

Ceres watched through the reflection of the glass and blushed, "Max, what are you doing?" She turned, back to the glass, "You've been acting different. Why are you..." She looked down at the floor. Had she done something wrong? Was he acting this way because he was told to? Did he not want to be her friend anymore?

Eric hesitated, letting her hair slip through his fingers, "ah... my apologies, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable" he took half a step back, "I was just... I suppose, trying to show you that I care"

"Oh..." She blushed, embarrassed she'd even thought he was faking. She shook her head, "No I'm sorry. I... I've never had a lot of friends or guy friends. I don't really know what to expect from the other in terms of endearment. Most men who are kind to me are either family or they've been told they had a chance for my hand so they... pretend." The coffee maker beeped.

Eric raised a brow, "Pretend?" he smiled a little, "you've had a very screwed up life, you know that. And that's coming from me"

Ceres looked away and walked around Eric, "You don't have to tell me. Mind you, Grandpa Oswald had no idea when he picked them out for me..." She pulled out two mugs with cute rabbits on them, "Some people are willing to do anything for power... which is way he's letting me pick the man I spend the rest of my life with...It's just... not as easy as it use to be."

"Why is that?" Eric asked curiously, "I can't imagine finding someone to be your partner for life could ever have been easy"

"Well... people nowadays don't tend to marry to death do us part. The divorce rates have sky rocketed." she poured the coffee into the mugs, "And I can't give men nowadays what they want in a relationship." She past him his mug, "You know... People don't wait till marriage to... do... stuff." She fumbled the sugar spoon which plopped into her mug and she acted like she did it on purpose and started stirring her coffee.

Eric sighed, "Yes, that reality came crashing into my life when I realized Pietro had gotten Ciara pregnant before the wedding"

Ceres blushed, "Oh. really? I would have had no idea.... At least they got married right? And they're both very happy. Though, now that I think about it, I suppose I would have know since I saw pictures...." She tapped the spoon on the side of her mug and coughed.

"Anyways, how about we watch a movie or something? Can't end the evening on a downer."

"That sounds delightful" Eric agreed, "Fellowship of the ring?"

"But of course!" They both sat down on the couch which was a two person so it was more like cuddling.

"....A Wizard is never late!" Ceres recited with the movie. A smile on her face.
