The squad followed Ciara and Forge gave a reluctant sigh as he let them take off in his new jet. In an hour or two they ended up in Australia.
"They've narrowed it down to the west side of the island" Scott stated as he listened to his intercom, "but that's still a lot of ground to cover"

"Let's split up. Keep com lines open." She said, hurrying off on a string ray of water. She just hoped she found him first.

After hours of searching a blur launched from the bushes and tackled Ciara to the ground with a roar.
"hey Drip" Logan grinned, ruffling her hair, "you finally caught up eh?"

The blur took her by surprise, sending her off her water ride. It was a lot smaller than before what with the warm temperatures making it very hard to keep it in all together.

She blushed, breathing quickly, not expecting Logan. "You meanie! She teased pushing on his chest, "You scared the crap out of me!"

Logan laughed and got up, helping her back to her feet, "What've I told you about keeping yer guard up drip?" he grinned, "I've caught Pietro's scent around here by the way. Sabertooth's to, so we'd better be careful"

"Careful? And how are you gonna beat him if you're careful." She joked, brushing the dust off. "Lead on then, Oh great hunter."

Logan gave her forehead a kiss and nodded, "follow me then" he smiled and turned, giving the air a sniff before taking off into the bush.

She blushed, rubbing her forehead. It felt warm from his lips... that and the fact it was hot out. She smiled and hurried off after him.

Now that they actually had a tracker to work with, it was only a matter of time before Logan lead Ciara near enough to hear the sounds of some sort of battle going on.

"HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU?!" Pietro's voice yelled through the forest, "I am NOT. GOING. BACK."

Logan and Ciara burst into the clearing at his last words, showing up just in time to see Pietro running circles around Sabertooth and hitting him hard with every word. Sabertooth actually dropped down to his knees from the final impact of Pietro's super speeded blow.

Ciara blinked, rather surprised to see Sabertooth on the ground. She'd never seen Pietro do well... Powerful. She'd have to take back her "you're just a big softie" comment later.

"QuickSilver?" She called, coming into the clearing. Approaching slowly.

Pietro turned sharply and swore, "Not you to... What part of 'I want to be alone' do you people not understand?"

With Pietro's back turned to him, Sabertooth reached out and grabbed the speedster's ankle, dragging him sharply to the ground with a growl.

"Sabertooth. Stop it!" She yelled, before turning to Pietro. "We came cause we were worried about you. I mean, your Dad sent Sabertooth and I wanted to make sure you were ok..."

Let. Me. GO" Pietro struggled against Sabertooth but his grip was too strong, "I'm not going back! Fuck off!"

"Sabertooth, stop it. I need to talk to Pietro...ALONE." She said storming up to him, her hands on her hips.

Sabertooth ignored her, to which Logan decidedly stepped in and grabbed his foe, dragging him away from Pietro. "Come on bub, lets play and let them have a chat"

She waited till Logan and Sabertooth were gone to approach, Pietro. "H-Hey... So I guess you were right... you aren't a big softie at all... Pretty tough actually."

Pietro turned away from her and crossed his arms, "What are you doing here?"

"What do you think I'm doing here? I was worried. Scared that something might have happened to you." She put a hand on his shoulder, "Though I guess you proved me wrong once again. You can take care of yourself..."

"Damn straight I can take care of myself" Pietro snapped, pulling away from her, "Leave me alone. You've got no idea what I've been going through."

"...No one knows you hit me with the iron... I told them it was a baseball."

"... you lied for me?" Pietro asked, looking back at her. Off in the background Sabertooth tackled Logan and they both fell into alligator infested waters. Pietro sighed and shook his head, "Why couldn't you lie before? Like, y'know, when I actually asked you to? Hell I didn't even ask you to lie, I just asked you not to tell anybody"
