"Horatio, what about..." She began to ask, kneeling beside his mother. She could take them both. If she was passed on, they could at least bury her. Ciara checked for a pulse and prayed she had one... Even if she was in love with Logan.

nothing, there was... wait, a pulse, so very faint, barely noticeable but there. She wasn't dead, at least not yet anyway.

"Go" Horatio commanded, "Go now Ciara, and hurry" he insisted.

Max made a move to go around Horatio and to get at Ciara but Horatio kept in his way, "Ah" Max commented, "What's the saying? Blind but not stupid?"

"I may not see you, but I know where you are just fine" the time bug hissed at him, his eyes stubbornly glowing brighter, causing the earth to rumble as though it was under a great unseen strain.

Ciara pulled her onto her back and hurried over to Logan, "Don't you give up, woman. I don't think I can stand to watch Horatio cry." She whispered, going over to Logan. "Oi. Logan." She called tapping his arm.

Logan jolted away and gasped in pain. Looking down he groaned, "that smarts" he wheezed before struggling to free himself from his skewer. With a little effort he managed to drop himself back to the ground, "Gimme a minute" he breathed, waiting to heal up enough before getting to his feet, "alright, where's the bastard?"

"Father" Horatio called back to him firmly, "You are leaving."

"Like hell I am" Logan retorted

"Yeah, you are" Horatio insisted. Max took the moment to try and attack but Horatio was on him instantly. The two time mutants locked hands, Max's eyes blazed silver while Horatio's flared gold and the thunder above crashed upon their impact. "I SAID GET OUT" Horatio yelled.

"Logan, please. Listen to him." She said readjusting the woman on her back. "I'm not back to full strength and I knew you to get both of us out of here." She said referring to his wife on her back. She couldn't risk looking at her here. Not in this battlefield. "This isn't our battle to fight." She put a hand on his shoulder.

Logan hesitated but finally nodded, taking Itsu from Ciara's shoulders, "I got her. Lets go"

"Oh come on" Max sneered, "You're going to miss all the FUN" he grunted as a nearby building cracked and collapsed in on itself. It was strange, almost like the thing was being unbuilt rather than destroyed.

"Pressure..." She mumbled. Perhaps Horatio was referring to the timeline. Two time mutants, trying to use their powers at the same time... in this place of all places.

"Don't pay any attention to him," She said following Logan along, away from the battle. "Kick his ass Horatio!" She called as loudly as she could before hurrying away from the danger zone.

People, as mad as mad gets were running around the city in a craze. Even then understood something was wrong but no one knew what to do about it so they all just ran in random patterns, screaming inhumanly.
The pavement beneath their feet cracked, the buildings became even less stable. One former skyscraper tipped and began to fall directly in their path but as it dropped through the air the broken glass and steel that it was made from disintegrated before it could touch the ground.
Chaos filled the air and a shock-wave echoed through the city, shattering every last window and sending a fair few people flying to their asses. Logan held Itsu tighter in his arms and called for Ciara to hurry faster, even though they were already moving as fast as they could through the debris. More shock-waves followed, every few minutes or so but steadily becoming more frequent and taking more of Gotham with each blast.

Ciara wasn't able to hold herself up after the last blast and fell forward, cutting up her left hand. She hurried to her feet, ignoring the pain. "We need to move faster." She said every though the rate she was going was as fast as she could go. Whatever was going to happen... it wasn't going to be pretty.

Finally they made it to one of the bridges off the island but another shock-wave shook the earth, sending more buildings collapsing to the ground. Some of them didn't even disintegrate, which was rather unfortunately for Logan and Itsu. Logan was hit from behind and Itsu fell from his grasp, the two of them getting rained upon by falling debris.

"No!" Ciara whipped the water out from around the bridge and shielded the two, catching the debris. "Logan, hurry!"

Logan grunted and pulled himself to his feet, "Move it Drip!" he ordered, "I got this, MOVE"

"Not without you two, damn it." She said helping him by scooping Itsu with the water and place her in position on his back before hurrying along the bridge.

As they ran along the bridge it began disintegrating behind them as a final shock-wave shot out and leveled the city. The ground beneath their feat was giving way.

Ciara formed a wave and pushed the trio the final stretch of bridge just before it disappeared. The wave vanishing as well. The force of the wave had caused them to land on their fronts.

Breathing heavily, Ciara looked over at Logan and then behind them and couldn't believe the sight she saw.

Gotham was leveled, completely flat as though it had never existed. There wasn't even any ruins left, just dirt on the island and the tail end of the bridge on the mainland. Even as Ciara looked on, it seemed like the leftover island wasn't exactly stable anymore either, it was beginning to sink.

Logan got up slowly, he didn't even look back, he just went straight to Itsu to look her over. A few cuts and bruises but she was still breathing. He let out a heavy sigh of relief and then looked around. There were a few ruins on the mainland but aside from that they were out in the middle of nowhere.

"Horatio!" She called. She knew it was for not but she had to try. After a moment of silence she turned and headed over to the couple.

"How is she?" Though she already know after looking her over again.

"She's alive, but she's not conscious" Logan replied, "She needs a doctor, badly." he picked her up and looked around, "You got any idea where we can go Drip?"

Ciara frowned, she didn't. She'd never been to this time period before...Nothing looked the same nothing was...

Maybe she did know a place. Maybe the Bat cave was still in place. After all, the mansion wasn't on the island. And with it actually being a cave and underground... "Follow me. And make sure to make a mental note of this point in time. Perhaps in the future you can help us if my plan doesn't pull through." She said leading the way to where the bat cave should be..

Logan nodded, "Considering what's happened today, I doubt I'll ever forget" he cradled his wife while following Ciara to where the bat-cave had been. A little digging and prying through and they managed to find the maintenance tunnels that lead to the ancient bat-cave.

"It's just up ahead. Hopefully the computer still has a back up of who I am..." She said as she pushed the lid open at the top of a ladder, entering the bat cave itself.

The bat-cave had seen better days, although it was holding up a lot better than the rest of the city had. As they walked in the lights attempted to flare to life although a few were flickering and some had been completely broken and just sparked. It looked like the place had seen a battle some time back and never been cleaned since. There was a thick layer of dust covering everything.

"in-int-in-intruder" Alfred's old face spazzed upon the large screen, "scan-scan-scanning. Securty-ty-ty-ty override. Welcome Ciara Mc-c-c-c-c-haley"

"Hello, Alfred." She returned the greeting, going under the computer and reattaching a few wires. "Let's get you back up and running." She said before looking at Logan, "Through that door should be the medical equipment. Set her on the bed and hook her to an IV drip. This may take a bit."

What had happened to Horatio? He couldn't be dead. She'd seen him all grown up. 'Horatio...You must be lost in time somewhere...Follow my voice...Come back to us." She thought, hooking a few wires back together.

Logan took his first wife away and after a fair amount of hard work, Ciara got the computer up and running again. Most of it was on it's secondary backup systems at this point and it could only power about half the technology at once. Apparently there were some damaged and some covered solar panels.

"Initiating Main AI server" Alfred stated before blinking off the screen.

"Hey! Who turned out the lights?!" the voice an old man echoed through the cave, although it sounded eerily familiar. "You idiot, don't tell me you haven't engaged the defense systems yet! We're running blind here! It's on the left side of the computer behind the old backup generator detour systems. Get to it!"

Ciara peeked out from under the computer and looked around, puzzled, "B...Bruce? Is that you?" She called, very confused but following his instructions and flipped the switch.
