"Heh. they started freaking out when they realized you had O- blood. Good thing my dad overheard, I've been a blood donor for years so this is nothing." she shrugged.

The nurse came in and smiled, "good, you're conscious. that should be enough now Ms. Gordon" she went about separating the two of them. "Thank you for helping out."

"hey, I'm used to having to pull my weight around" Barbara quipped.

"Thank you Miss Gordon." She nodded her head, "I really appreciate it... What were you reading?" She asked, sitting up.

"The art of computer programming" she smiled, showing the cover, "I'm kind of running out of good reads."

"Are you into computers then?" She asked, leaning against the pillows, flinching when the nurse hooked her up to an IV drip.

"A little." she replied, "Why, you know much?"

"Just a bit. My Dad had me building 3d models of molecules when I was 9. But nothing too fancy..." She trailed off and looked out the window.

"Woah. That sounds pretty intense" Barb blinked.

"Alright, you can visit awhile Ms. Gordon, but Ms. McCoy needs her rest" the nurse stated before leaving.

Just then someone dropped in through the window, "Neptune, seriously. what were you thinking?" Nightwing demanded as he approached, "You went back to Freeze alone? Why didn't you tell us? We could have at least backed you up."

She rubbed the back of her head, "Maybe, but I can't do anything like computer programming... Aww does she have-" She looked toward the window.

"Because I had some free time and I told him I've give him some blood for his wife. Though it was only suppose to be one pint but his wife's pod had been damaged and she needed more..." She said calmly, "Also you tend to shot first and ask questions later which is is another reason why. But look," Ciara pulled the papers out of her suit, they were a bit winkled, " I found a way for us to have cleaner/more water. Mr. Freeze is going to prove us with ice. All we have to do is to set a room up like so." She explained excitedly, smiling proudly.

Nightwing glared at her, "So you're saying he double crossed you, and then you agreed to risk your life for some more water? you are our water source and we've been doing just fine without him. Do you have any idea how reckless you've been? Do you have any idea how many people have died for the feeble life of his wife?"

"SHUT UP! He didn't double cross me. He needed help! No life is feeble." She boomed, actually getting up out of the bed. She was hurt by his words and frankly rather pissed as well.

"No. No life is worth giving up on, no life is worth nothing and no life is worth giving your own for-especially when so many others depend on you." Nightwing snapped in returned, getting in Ciara's face, "If you die here then what am I supposed to tell your friends and family back home? I'm sorry Dr. McCoy, I wasn't there to watch her back. I understand you're upset Magneto but she took off without telling me. Sorry for your loss Wolverine, but she didn't contact me so I couldn't fucking tell her that she's not the only one with O- blood in this GOD-FORSAKEN CITY!" he yelled.

That was the last straw, the slap echoed throughout the room, tears were forming. "Dolbo yeb Arsel BAKA!" She screamed, running out of the room, the IV falling out...

Ciara sat in a corner on the stairs in the stair well, crying uncontrollable. Being in Gotham, on her feet, always on her guard, laughing off things that weren't actually funny, putting on a brave face... it was beyond anything she'd done before... 'I wanna go home...I go home...' She thought, unable to keep the tears from flowing.

After some time, Barbara called out gently, "Ciara?"

Ciara turned her head toward the voice and sniffed, "Oh... Miss Gordan." She wiped her eyes but tears still seemed to steam.

She rolled over, "Hey... I'm sorry about him. Don't listen to what he said, He's kinda a jerk"

"No... but he was sorta right... but everyone makes mistakes. I know what's it's like to sway from the path.. so maybe that's why I helped Mr. Freeze...I should have told someone where I was going.. I should have...." She gripped her necklace tightly, wiping a few more tears out of her eyes.

"Hey" she reached out to pat Ciara on the shoulder, "yeah, we all make mistakes. The point is that everything turned out okay this time, and now you can learn from it. Plus, I think Freeze was pretty impressed. He even carried you all the way back here and wouldn't leave until he knew you were alright."

"Really... wow." She slowly started to calm down. " I guess that means a lot since he said everyone seems to back stab him." She said placing with her necklace in her hand

"Yeah, from what I was told anyway" Barb shrugged, "You know I realize it doesn't always seem like it but, a lot of people have really learned to rely and care about you now. You've got some backup here, at the very least from me"

"R-Really... I didn't... but we just met Miss Gordan.."

"Yeah, but i've been drinking your water for weeks now" she smiled and joked, "we're practically family. Besides, I've noticed what you've done around here. you keep people hoping, alive. You've managed to even get Poison Ivy to trust you and now Freeze? Come on. that's pretty amazing"

Ciara just stared for a moment before a small smile made it's way on her face then she looked down rather shyly, "Miss Gordan... would it be weird if I gave you a hug?"

"I would be honored" Barbara smiled and opened her arms to receive a hug, "and feel free to call me Barbara, or Barb. But call me Barbie and I might have to kill you"

Ciara almost jumped into Barbara's arms. She hadn't had many hugs in the last month or human contact; minus Ivy but she was more plant than human. It was nice to feel warm arms wrap around her. "Thank you, Mis- Barbara. I needed that." She said pulling away after a moment.

"No problem at all" she smiled, "well, I should probably head back home. I'll talk to you later, kay?"
