Ciara felt a stabbing pain shoot through chest. She sat up, "Why wouldn't I be here? I'm your girlfriend. And you haven't been answering my texts or phone calls nor has anyone seen you for days! I came to check up on you." She ran a hand through his hair, "I was worried."

"... oh..." Logan sighed, turning away from her as he got to his feet, "I thought you were in Atlantis."

"I WAS in Atlantis... How LONG have you been in here?" She got up and drew back the curtains fully, and opening the window. "Atlantis was like.... almost 2 MONTHS ago. Have you even LOOKED outside? Does that look like everything is alright?" She put her hands on her hips in front of the window, something on her hand seemed to shimmer in the back light.

Logan barely glanced out the window, "I guess I figured there was just another mutant running rampid." he shrugged, heading over to the bathroom to take a leek and splash his face with some water. When he came out again he didn't look much better off. "I guess we need to talk."

Ciara had already started bringing the place back into some kind of order. "Yeah... I wanted to apologize for umm... leaving suddenly. I should have stayed. But after Horatio got shot, I... I couldn't. You must have been hurting so badly and I abandoned you...I...I'm.. I'm sorry Wolfie. Muffins?" She held up a container of freshly baked muffins. They were his favorite.

Logan looked at the muffins, then at Ciara as he leaned in the doorway with his arms crossed, "... Ciara... I can't do this" he paused as his eyes fell on her hand. You could practically see his heart breaking again as he looked away, "I don't think... I just... I'm sorry..."

She froze stiff as the words echoed through her head. "w-what? What what do you mean, Wolfie? I...I don't understand."

Closing his eyes, Logan sighed, "It's... It's nothing you've done. You're perfect Drip, I'm just not... not in the same place I was before. I need to leave, dunno for how long but I can't be here anymore. I can't handle it right now, I can't handle... this" he gestured around.

Ciara put the container down, "Then let's leave. You and me. We'll go where ever you need. I know it must be hard for you... let me help you through it, Wolfie."

Logan finally looked her in the eyes, his gaze filled with sorrow and apologies, "I can't do that either" he attempted to explain, "It isn't just this place I gotta get away from. It's everything... everyone..." his eyes fell to the floor again, "I'm better off alone right now. It's what I know, it's how I... deal."

"Oh..." She paused, looking down before looking up, "Alright then. We all have our own ways of mourning. I'll be here when you get back." She cupped the side of his face lovingly, "I'll wait for you, Love. Just like you waited so long for me.."

Logan touched her hand, breathing in her scent deeply before removing it from his face, "Yes... I waited for you... but that was only days of my life in comparison. I don't know how long I'll be gone. Last time it took me fifty-three years to get over Itsu. She was the first person I ever remember falling in love with..."

You could tell her heart was breaking as he spoke, "T-then I'll wait... I don't care how long it takes. I love you, Logan. I want to be with you. And only you." She gripped onto his shirt, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you... And if that means I have to wait, I'll wait." She felt her stomach turning in knots.

Logan looked at her and then shook his head, "No... you won't. Because this is it. It's over Ciara, and if I come back, I don't know if it will be for you"

Ciara's lip began to tremble as she let go of his shirt. She took a step back, covering her lips with her hand, trying not to break down. "So this is it... You spend all this time flirting with me throughout time and in my life and you just-Just...." Tears started to stream down her face but you could try she was trying with all her might not to break down. Not to give into the pain of her heart ripping in two.

Slowly, she backed away, shaking her head and a few seconds later; she bolted it out of there. She ran, ran as fast as could. She didn't know where she was running to but she just kept running; hoping if she ran fast enough... the pain wouldn't caught up to her.

"I didn't know this would happen" Logan tried to explain, "I'm sorry... I..." he watched her run and hung his head.


"hey Ciara-woah what's?" The voice was soon followed by a body that Ciara ran straight into. Pietro just blinked and hesitantly hugged her back, "C-Ciara?" he spoke tentively.

She hadn't been looking where she was going but upon hearing a familiar voice, she dashed toward it and ended up colliding with the voice's owner.

Upon feeling arms around her, she broke down completely. She wasn't even able to explain what had happened. All she could make were noises between the gasps for air. She clung to him, shaking terribly.

Pietro glanced around, people were starting to look at them funny so he picked Ciara up and sped away to her little house. Finding her key he let them both in and locked the door behind them. "Alright... I have no clue what to do here... you um... you want some water? Chocolate? Cookies?" he offered clueless, speeding away and returning every second with each item he mentioned.

She forced herself between gasps to drink some water but after awhile found it too hard. Pietro kept speeding around bring more and more things into the room. Finally, she was able to grab a hold of his shirt and speak, "H-H-Hold me..p-please." She was hyper ventilating.

"O-okay" Pietro wrapped his arms around her and held her tight, the room now cluttered with stuff and things. Pietro pulled her back onto a couch he had somehow managed to drag in and pet her head gently for quite awhile.

It took awhile but being able to hear able to listen to another's heart beat and the gentle motion of his hand through her hair slowly but surely calmed her down. She just lay against him, zoned out, clinching and relaxing her hand on his shirt.

Some time later Pietro actually gained the courage to speak again, "... sssooooo.... about that mutant soccer... pretty intense stuff y'know?"

"Logan dumped me after proposing to me a month ago." She stated plainly, her body drained from all the crying.

"O.o What?!" Pietro exclaimed, "Okay, first of all, he PROPOSED TO YOU?! Second of all, HE DUMPED YOU!? Third of all LOGAN!? and finally, A MONTH AGO?! I DON'T KNOW WHAT I SHOULD BE OUTRAGED ABOUT MORE IN THAT SENTENCE BUT I AM!"

Ciara sat up, leaning against the back of the couch. Her face showing little emotion. "It was after I got back from Gotham and you left... We had been falling apart. He was being distant... It was because he was nervous about giving me this." She held her hand out and stared at the ring on her finger. "So much happened I wasn't able to tell anyone... now after his wife's death... He dumped me..."
