"He's in here" Freddy called, "okay Lance, she's here, you can calm down now"

Lance was in the family room, clinging to the back of the couch with a comic book in hand, "Where? Ciara!" he squeeked.

"Lance, dude... You ok?" She asked, approaching him slowly.

"Ciara" Lance crawled down to the cushions on the couch, there was a comic book clutched tightly in his hand, "Sit down. Read this."

"...Lance, you'r kinda freaking me out but alright..." She sat down, and took the comic from his hands.

Lance pointed to a picture on the current page, it was the two of them, sitting on that very couch with Lance pointing at the comic between them, "SEEE?!?!?!"

'How is this possible? Someone's idea of a sick prank-' She thought before dropping the comic, "Oh god! It had my thoughts in a thought bubble." She turned to Lance, "Where did you get this?"

"From the comic book store on mutant avenue" Lance replied anxiously.

"We get all the good comics thanks to that gotham guy yo" Toad piped in, "Mr. Rich dude that you charmed up."

"There were more in the series there" Lance added as he looked at the last page of the comic, "it's to be continued... it's showing us going there. AAhhhhhhh!!!!!"

Ciara grabbed the book from him, "DAMN IT LANCE! Don't you know once you read something now you have to do it?!" She looked the cover over. "Ok, let's get to the bottom of this. We'll go to the comic book store find out more about the author etc. But NO ONE is to start reading this series when we get there got it? We have to take this slowly. Cause once you've read it, it can't be undone... Time is funny like that."

"O.o; .... kay" Lance squeeked, hugging his knees to his chest, "but this is really freaking me out."

"TIME ADVENTURE TIME YO!" Toad proclaimed as he hopped excitedly, "To the comic shop!"

"Two comic book trips in one day?" Freddy grinned, "YaY!"

"Sorry. There's just somethings you learn when time traveling. One of them is if a book has info on you or things you've done. Don't read it because it becomes fixed in time." She held her hand out for Lance to take, "I'm scared too Lance. This is some pretty messed up stuff we've stumbled upon... I just hope this is just some kind of joke..."

"That's one messed up joke" Lance replied, gladly taking her hand as they headed for the comic book store.

Ciara opened the door to the comic book store and was instantly stared at. She approached the counter, "Excuse me, my friend picked up this comic today and I was wondering if there's anymore in the series/ anything you know on the author."

"hey, you look just like her" The man at the counter commented as he took a look at the comic, "yeah, there's a couple back issues, but this just the start of the new saga this dude's working on. Personally, I liked the blond version better, now there's a girl who can kick some ass"

"Yeah I noticed..." She commented. "Blonde version? Do you have any of these back issues? When did this series come out?"

"Yeah, we got a few. If you're really interested I can ask for all of them in the next shipment" he replied, "but for now we've got... lets see" he placed his hand on the comic, it glowed for a moment and he smiled, "Ah, the one with Mr. Sin. The writer is real cool, he bases a lot of his characters off of real people and gives a little creative insight into some weird stuff that goes on in the mutant community." the man walked around the store, looking for the other comics, "here you go, there's these three. They aren't really in order, so you may wanna lay off until my shipment if you want to avoid spoilers in the story line."

" Mr...Sin? Sure thing, I really would like to get my hands on all of them. Could you call up to Magento's house when they come in?" She asked, pulling out some cash to pay for the 3 comics.

"uhhh, yeah sure. Just lemme get your info" he pulled out a form, "if you become a member we can do all that for ya"

She rubbed that back of her head. She really wasn't that interested in comics. After all, her life filled with drama and such. She sighed, "Alright," She took the form and quickly filled it out.

"Awesome" the guy grinned widely and handed Ciara her change and reciept, "Shipment comes in on tuesdays, I'll try and get those copies on it for ya."

"Mikey Mikey Mikey Mikey" toad bounced over excitedly to talk to the guy, "Can I get this one yo? can I? huh? yo? Pleeeeaaassseee?"

"Woah there toadster" Mikey turned to him, "You know I can only get you guys that discount once a week at best. I know you don't got lotsa money but it's the best I can do. You were already in earlier"

"awwwwwwwww" Toad hung his head, "I got..." he dug around in his pockets, "Fifty-three cents and some dubble bubble" he held it up hopefully.

Ciara smiled, pulling out a 10 dollar bill, "I'll cover you, Todd."

"O.O! YAY!" Toad glomped her.

Mikey smiled, "that's nice of you" he rang it through and handed Toad the comic back, "Well, do let me know if there's anything else I can do ya for"

"YaYaYaYaYaY" Toad hopped happily out of the store.

"What's the point in having money if you can't spend it on the ones you care about?" Ciara turned to the others, "Anyone else have a comic they're dying to read?"

Lance and Freddy looked at each other, then launched into the store and each came back with two.

Ciara shook her finger, "It won't be fair if I bought Todd one and you guys two each. One each."

"okaaayyy" they agreed, taking a moment to decide on which they wanted.

Soon they were heading back off to the brotherhood house for some wholesome comic book reading.
