Ciara gripped the onto his forearms, digging her hands into them. Her eyes were slammed shut, lips pressed together. It seemed the longer Sinister pried open her mind the more the pain increased. "Ahh..Nathan...I can't...it won't..." She started to feel sick as if a wave was washing up against a brick wall that would not budge for Nathan.

She started trying to pull away as the wall came down. Finally with a voice nowhere near her own, a deep voice boomed from her throat, "MINE!" Ciara threw Nate a good 3 feet back as she flomped against the couch, breaking the connection. Her forehead covered in sweat. "What just..." She took deep breaths.

Sinister yelped a little as he stumbled back, breathing deeply as he looked her with a new fascination, "Ciara?" he questioned, his voice taking on that strange echo from her ears to her mind.

Ciara looked puzzled and a little confused. "Yes?" Though in the back of her mind, the word 'mine' in a faint echo though Ciara didn't seem to notice it. "Nathan, I didn't like that. I don't feel any different. Can we do this later?"

"Yes... of course" Sinister nodded thoughtfully, "I need to work on some of my projects now anyway." he turned to leave.

She reached out and took a hold of his sleeve. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to push you. You're mad at me aren't you?" She asked, playing with his shirt, straightening it out.

Sinister paused a moment, "I know you'll make it up to me" he replied, "But for now, stay, and try to open your mind"

She pouted but got up on her tippy toes and kissed his cheek. "Ok...I'll try but I don't think it's really in my control." She sat back down.

He ruffled her hair and left the room. "Ramrod, who do we have here that's only a class one mutant?"

"Ahh... there's a boy with horns on ice in the third chamber" Ramrod replied after checking the computer.

"Excellent, prep him for surgery. I need some cranial fluid to work with."

Ciara curled up in a ball, "Now you've done it, Chibi S. No more fixing dolly for you." All she wanted to do was make Nathan happy. Her forehead still stung from the contact.

Some time later, when Sinister's head was no longer throbbing, he returned to try again. This time, he didn't start out easy, he went for the full attack immediately to break into her mind as quickly as possible.

Ciara gripped tightly to his arms, trying her best to not resist...

Sinister soon found himself in a doorway, with a door and bricks blasted across the floor from his forceful entrance. The room had checkered flooring but was very dimly lit.

A figure arose from a chair, about the same size as he was. "Idiot. You have no idea who you're messing with-" The figure paused upon seeing Sinister standing there. "Oh... Well this is awkward." The reddish mood lighting lifted to reveal Chibi S.

Sinister looked around, his glowing red eye settling on the little version of himself, "... Are you supposed to be... me?"

He sighed, "Yes. I'm actually you from the future. Well... a imprint rather. Please don't let this feeble form fool you. Miss Frost altered my appearance last time she was here... I looked much better before." A table and chair appeared, Chibi S hopped onto the table where a smaller chair appeared for him to sit in.

"So, finally got around to putting a crystal in here I see. Or rather, that would be the only way you would be able to get this far."

"Yes, indeed" Sinister took a seat on the chair, "From the future you say? Do tell me more."

Chibi S shook his finger, "I can only tell you limited things. Otherwise you might screw things up for us... When Ciara was born, her mother died due to a car accident, something that is common in you time but is extremely rare in the future. It was far too early for her to be out of the womb. So several procedures and needles were required... In the future you will meet Phillip McHale, stick close to him. Work with him. You're find him rather entertaining at times.

He sighed, "Phillip became distracted from our work when Ciara was born. Which wasn't hard. A princess level mutant stuck in a container alone... Phillip asked me to help Ciara's pain. I gave her a code word which would let her relax and doze off for injections and such but I also imprinted myself. Knowing that in the past, I would one day be having this conversation. Along with keeping her alive etc.etc..."

"Fascinating" Sinister leaned back as he listened, "Except instead of helping me with her, you've left me a rather annoying headache. All the same, the pros outweigh the cons of this situation. I already have myself, and inside man."

"Yes I am well aware of the headache we get... Unfortunately I don't have as much control of her mind as I use to. For some reason, our powers seem to defect each other upon contact. Most likely has something to do with the fact I'm fromt he future and Ciara's time traveling gene."

"So it is a genetic thing. I've been having the hardest time locating that specific genetic marker. Making time travel possible is hard enough, but to be able to survive it is another thing entirely!" Sinister sighed, "so much to learn"

"It's all in her DNA. She was able to adsorb the Time mutant gene which lets one survive and live in other times. Just one more thing that makes her an excellent subject. Not to mention all the antibodies to diseases that haven't even been created yet... The girl's a gold mine."

"Her genetics are like none I've ever seen before, certainly but... I've never had so much trouble discerning what it is that makes one tick" he stood, "At any rate, now that I know what's going on in her head, it should be a bit easier-particularly with you helping me now"

"Provided you don't do anything to endanger my host yes. I may be an imprint but I am still conscious and well aware of things..." He hopped off the table and headed to a very small door and pulled out a key. "And I may not be able to do a lot of things but I can easily lock you out." He opened the small door, "Also, you have about 3 and a half weeks before the Young Justice gang show up. My host's kidnapping did not go unnoticed to any stretch of the imagination. Keep her close and you should be just fine."

"I... see" Sinister raised a brow at the chibi. It was a little bit difficult to take him seriously, although being a shapeshifted, Sinister of all people knew how deceiving appearances could be. "I'll be in touch then." he waved and walked out the door.

Ciara was leaning against his chest and came around just as he left her mind. "Mmm... Did it work?"

He smiled and kissed the gem on her forehead, "Splendidly" he replied.

Ciara turned pink, "Good <3. Does this mean you can read my mind now?"
