"Time Reaper, 01" Horatio replied casually, "Nice to meet you Red Tornado, I take it this is our first encounter" he held out his hand in greeting.

Red Tornado paused for a moment, "Ah! The Time Reaper. A pleasure to meet you." He took Horatio's hand and shook it. "Yes, this is the first time we have met. Though I suppose we have met several times in your timeline...If you are here, then you know of the current situation we are facing... Also, CHILDREN!" He yelled. "It is rude to spy on your mentors."

One by one the Young justice filed into view like a bunch of children caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
"We just wanted to know what was going on" Robin protested.

"you barely tell us anything" Superboy agreed.

"Because it is not for your ears to hear. We tell you what is needed but if you wish to know something, I believe it is better to first ASK for permission to know as most of the information is of course classified.

Though I suppose you must be curious as to how the rescue mission when. They failed. We will be sending you out on another scouting mission soon. Is there... Anything else you wish to ask?" He asked, looking toward the group.

"Yeah, who's this guy?" Kid Flash questioned as he zoomed up to Horatio's face.

"The most insignificantly important person you will ever have the pleasure to meet" Horatio replied.

"Children, this is Horatio aka The Time Reaper. 01. A very important and powerful mutant... In short, He travels through time." Red Tornado.

Megan gasped, "So you can go into the future see stuff before they happen and then stop them if you have too."

Artemis crossed her arms, "Wish I could do that... Then I would have never eatten that Chili cheese dog, Kid Flash forced me to eat."

"HELLO Megan. It's rude not to introduce ourselves. I'm Megan or Miss Martin."
"Artemis. I shot arrows."
"I am Aqua Lad. It is an honor to meet you." A.L. took Horatio's hand and shook it. "There are writing in my country of many of your noble deeds. Especially the one warning the Atlantians that the gods would sink our homeland into the sea."

"Conner" Superboy grunted.

"I'm Robin" the boy wonder greeted.

"Kid Flash, thank you very much" he saluted.

Horatio greeted each of them, "You know my power's not quite that simple. Some things are fixed, some are fluid. If I stopped you from eating that Chili-cheese dog, Kid flash would've eaten it and spent the rest of the week being flatulent around your base. I checked, you'd rather have eaten it yourself" he smirked.

"mmmm, so good, but so deadly on my system" Kid Flash nodded grimly.

"Great. I'll never get that image out of my head." Artemis commented.

"Batman, what is our next move to locating Mr. Sinister?" Aqua Lad asked. "As the days go by, it is harder and harder to keep such news from my king."

Batman paused, looking at horatio, "I don't suppose you have anything you can tell us about this?"

Horatio frowned, shifting awkwardly, "... I'm sorry. I cannot tell you where she is"

"You know?!" Robin exclaimed, "I shouldn't be surprised-but common!"

"Yeah, let's quit this wild goose chase" Superboy agreed.

Horatio backed away from them, "I can't" he insisted

"So you're just going to let her suffer? Cruel dude" Kid Flash glared.

"Harsh." Artimes added.
"Don't you care about Miss McCoy?" Megan asked.
"Childern that-" Red Torando began.
"Enough." Aqua Lad boomed. "Clearly there are some things even a great time traveler cannot do. It's something that must happen isn't it?." He asked, placing a hand on Horatio's shoulder.

Horatio nodded in AL's direction thankfully, "y-yes, thank you. For now anyway. Believe me when I say that this is for the good of the world-and Ciara as a matter of fact. But please, do not make it any less crucial for you to fight to find her. It is your determination that helps to keep Sinister's activities at bay." His eyes blindly searched the floor for something, a way to apologize. He really hadn't even meant to meet young Justice and this was getting awkward. Too many people were looking at him at once, he could feel their eyes. One on one, Horatio was comfortable enough, but even so he rarely spent time with other people. Social situations still felt... wrong.

"I'm sure it's time for you leave" Batman offered.

Horatio quickly nodded and stepped towards the exit-forgetting about a set of stairs in his haste and tripping to the floor, "x.x ow."

"Dude, what are you blind?" Kid Flash commented.

"Actually... yes" Horatio replied, "Not that I always seem to remember it though, heh...."

Artimes punched Kid Flash in the arm, "For a guy who is really fast, you can be really slow

"Oh my gosh, Are you okay?" Megan asked going over and helping him up.
"Don't worry, Time Reaper. We will kept Sinister at bay til the time is right to bring Neptune home."

"I'm fine, fine" Horatio assured, getting back to his feet. Suddenly he appeared on the other side of the group, "When did you install those stairs?" he questioned, "and the lighting's new... or is it old? Damn, when was I here last? 3043-what year is it now?"

"It is the year 2012, Time Reaper." Red Tornado answered.

"Wait, aren't you blind? How can you tell?" Artemis asked

"Oh! Oh! Can you see when Time is stopped? Or something like that?" Megan asked curiously.

"2012... ooohhhh, right. So this is before-ah, that. Okay." he responded hesitantly, "When time is frozen in place I have the ability to see" Horatio nodded, "Although anything that is frozen is in black and white, I only know colors if there are in movement with me" he turned to Megan curiously, "You're a different shade from the others. Not Caucasian, not quite the same as brown skinned... I'm curious, what is it?"

"Oh! Hello Megan." She hit herself on the head, "I'm green. I'm a Green marshan from Mars."

"Huh, so everything kinda looks like that movie Pleasantville to you. Interesting."

"Ah, curious" Horatio smiled, "I haven't met a martian before. I generally stick to what's going on on Earth. It's actually a pleasant surprise to meet someone I know so little about. It doesn't happen too often, usually I've briefed myself on new acquaintances before hand."

"So wait" Robin spoke up, "You've never just... met somebody new?"

"Not anyone particularly important, no" Horatio replied, "Although I do give myself the occasional surprise, just to keep things interesting. I presume this is one of those surprises."

"Woah woah woah" Kid Flash shook his head, "this is getting waayyyy freaky now. So you like, talk to your future and past selves, and tell yourself everything that's going to happen? Wouldn't that mess up the time-space continuum by creating paradoxes? No way that's safe!"

"My entire existence is a sort of paradox" Horatio shrugged, "The world can handle a certain level of what I call Paradox Power, but once it reaches it's limit it starts causing rifts. Which is why I'm so careful to keep the little things in check-like stopping certain prying Young adults from hearing things they really shouldn't know" he turned towards Batman, "I thought we had an agreement by the way. You watch your mouth and I don't go back in time to before you created a contingency for memory wiping."

"I assure you, it won't happen again" Batman replied, eyeing the Young Justice team with that disapproving tone.

"Is your mouth shut, Kid Flash because I'm not saying a word of something I may or may not have heard." Artemis stated.

"Lips are zipped. Sorry Batman. We're just curious." Megan said

"Yeah, how are we suppose to know it would make alter the time line we're just teens who wish you'd keep us informed." Artemis commented

"My Apologies, Batman. It was rude for us to overhear the information we so impatiently awaited to here." Aqua Lad said, "Next time we will ask..."

"I don't even know what we're talking about" Robin agreed.

Superboy shrugged and KF nodded feverishly. Horatio tilted his head to the side, listening, "Why do people seem to think I know when they're nodding or shaking their head? Please speak up you two, because now the same goes for everyone in this room. I do have the power to stop you from being born you know."

"Yes sir!" KF squeeked immediately, "not a word!"

"You wouldn't have to go back far" Superboy commented. Robin elbowed him, "Yeah yeah, I'm not gonna say anything."

"Good" Horatio smiled, "You're all so charming, I would hate to have to never meet you. Now-"

"You're running late" an older Horatio commented as he appeared out of nowhere, "Since when do we socialize?"

"Keep your dreadlocks on" younger Horatio rolled his eyes, "I'm wrapping it up."

"Hey, don't you roll your eyes at me" the older scolded, "I know you're rolling your eyes. I totally remember that you little twerp" he stepped forward, stubbing his toe on the stairs, "DAMNIT! when did you people put those stairs in?!"

"Oh you remember the eye rolling but not the stairs" younger Horatio sneered, "There's a good one."

"grrr" they glared at each other's general directions-which was quite amusing to watch because they were both slightly off. "1982 is waiting for you by the way, but please, take your time. It's not like we're trying to, I dunno, keep a schedule here"

"For the love of the pharaoh," younger horatio groaned, "at least give me your teleporter"

"No can do, you're walking this one"

"DAMNIT OLD MAN"

"Brat"

"Geezer"

"Does anyone else feel like this is an episode of the Twilight Zone happening in front of us?"
"Yup." Megan said
"Indeed." Aqua Lad commented.

"It was good to meet you Horatio. Forgive us for keeping you here for so long. May your travels be safe and your missions successful." Red Torando said goodbye.

"Thank you Red Tornado" the Horatio's replied in unison.

"Can I do nothing myself damnit?!" younger Horatio growled before disappearing altogether.

"I... apologize for my younger self" the remaining time mutant added, "He has much to learn. Thank you for your patience" he nodded to the group before also disappearing.

"... I have no idea what just happened" Robin blinked.

"and I don't care" Superboy added, turning back to Batman, "Do we have a mission or not?"

"Yes" Batman replied, "but not to do with Ciara McCoy. I'm taking over that field personally. Young justice will be handling another matter"

"No way! We just spent 3 weeks trying to find her and now you're not letting us finish the job?!" Artemis snapped.
"But-" Megan started.

"Enough." Aqua Lad interrupted before more chatter could happen. "We have done our part. Though it doesn't sit right. The situation has changed. Though I hope if Batman does find something he will let us know as it would indeed lift our spirits." Aqua Lad looked toward Robin. Ever seen the news he'd notice Robin was a tad off. Not off his game just something wasn't quite right. "What is our mission?"

"Thank you Aqua Lad." Batman changed the computer screen, "There's been some suspicious activity off the coast of Egypt in the Mediterranean sea." he pulled up a map of the narrowed down area, "we don't exactly have permission to fly here so we need you to check things out without being seen."

"At once. T-minus 10 for departure team. Kid Flash, make sure to use the bathroom BEFORE we go this time." Aqua Lad added before preparing for the mission."

"Oh yeah, one time and he never lets me forget" KF rolled his eyes.

"Actually it was twice" Robin commented

"I HAVE A FAST METABOLISM!"
