Ciara lay on the bed, staring out the window, singing softly to herself. "Cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon, little boy blue and the man on the moon..."

"Well, well, well" Pietro strolled into the room with a large tray of sushi, "Look what the cat dragged home" he smiled, "hope you're hungry because I think Summer's will blast me if I eat all this sushi by myself."

Ciara's head snapped toward the door and she gasped. A warm smile came across her face, "Pietro!" She inched to the side of the bed with the door, "I was afraid you wouldn't come."

"And miss a chance to say..." he set down the food and zipped up to her with a stethoscope, "wanna play doctor?"

She paused, turning bright red. "Pietro.... I'm pretty sure Big Blue is watching." She pointed at the glass.

Pietro paused, glancing at the glass and dropping the stethescope, "hahahaaaa, funny jokes." he laughed immediately and then whispered to her desperately, "please laugh with me"

Ciara laughed, not because she was asked but because Pietro was being silly. She reached over the side of the bed and picked it up and put it on. She patted the side of the bed, "Come here silly. I wanna hear your heart beat."

He hopped up beside her on the bed, "Alright, but it's probably gonna sound weird to you" he warned.

She warmed it up with her breath before placing it on his chest. "Let's see... Oh my... Cooool. Does it do this all the time?" She asked rather amused by the speed his heart was going.

It was actually rather difficult to tell apart the two beats of his heart, it sounded more like a single thump at a time instead of two. "Heh, you should hear it when I'm actually out of breath" he shrugged, "although funny story, one time I passed out at the park and it just figures that someone training to be a doctor comes by. she got all concerned about me and shit and checks my heartbeat-freaks right out and calls for an ambulance. I woke up as their strapping me onto a gurney, gave them a major scare."

She chuckled, "I bet. I'm sure I would have probably acted in the same manner..." She was curious, dropping the stethoscope around her neck, she leaned against his chest. She closed her eyes and smiled when she finally picked up the vibrations of his heart beating, "You're one of a kind, Speedy... Want to hear mine?" She asked sitting back.

"Sure" Pietro nodded and took the device to listen to her heart beat. "Damn girl, you'll never keep up" he laughed, "my heart would run circles around yours"

She chuckled lightly and looked down, "It already does... Pietro. I... I wanted to thank you for looking after me when.. I when... Logan and I broke up. It really meant a lot to me. I wanted to thank you earlier but I couldn't find you and then the whole... Natha-...Sinister thing happened. So, thank you." She kissed his cheek.

"Oh... hey, don't even worry about that" Pietro blushed a little and rubbed the back of his head a bit awkwardly, "I mean, it was just a little-not like I was put out or whatever-and uhh, hey, sushi!" he gestured to the tray, "there's even spring rolls!"

She pouted slightly but quickly changed to a smile. "Sushi? Hmmm... I dunno. I haven't really felt like eating." She leaned in, dropping her voice, "I know this must sound silly but I'm having a hard time... trusting everyone else. I know I shouldn't but the feelings are still there. Charles explained that Sinister used my emotional state of mind to alter the way I think about everyone one else." She wrapped her arms around herself, "I don't trust the food they bring me... that's pretty silly isn't it?"

Pietro tilted his head before nodding, "right" he placed the tray between them, "So, you pick then. Decide what I'll eat and decide what's yours. I'll take a bite of everything first and that way you know it's safe. No problemo" he smiled, "and it's not silly, considering you thought we were the enemy and all that. Hell, coming to Genosha, having my father working with the x-geeks instead of having us fight them all the time. It took me awhile to trust anything that came out of Summer's mouth. I was pretty sure the only reason he didn't kick out the Brotherhood was because my father made some deal with him-trying to cover my ass like usual." he shrugged, "then one day I decided to listen to what he was saying instead of ignore it.
It was because of you actually, you got me to start listening and then I guess I starting trusting him after that. After taking a good look at the projects he's been heading up, at the progress we've all made here... Mr. Full-of-himself pretty boy actually started making some sense..." the speedster paused, "Now if we could pop his ego and get him to spend a little less time on the cars, and tone down the whole 'mutants unite under one cause'-you'd think we got the message by now and that ridiculous stubble-not to mention his taste in sunglasses-and did I bring up his colone? I mean seriously, I can't count the amount of times I've dowsed him with a bucket of water just to lessen the stench" he rolled his eyes as he began to rip on Scott.

She let him rant a little before covering his lips with both her hands, "I said everyone else, silly. Sinister didn't change how I felt about you... I guess he just focused on the main people in my life or who he thought was important... Father Phil mentioned Scott finally asked you on the team. Congrads... How... How long have you been on the team?" She asked, worried he might have seen the video with her and Sinister.

"nnmmff?" Pietro replied, before smiling and taking her hands off his face, "Not too long. A month maybe? I dunno, I still spend most of my time in the shop." he paused, "so... you don't hate me?"

Her stomach turned a little... Then maybe he had seen it. But she shook her head, "Nope. I don't hate you at all. I don't think I've ever truly hated you... maybe just disliked some of the things you've said about me in the past. *Cough* High school. *cough cough* But nope. He didn't change anything about you in my mind." She smiled sweetly before asking, "Were...Were you on the Realasia mission?"

"ah..." pietro glanced away awkwardly, "well... y-yeah... good thing to cuz the whole place went sky high and there wasn't enough time for everyone to run out so I had to carry them one at a time-also, did I mention that Scott's heavy? Nearly dragged both our butts so slow we almost got them charred."

Ciara zoned out as soon as he said he was there. "Excuse me..." She got up and went into the attached bathroom, closed the door and sank to the floor. No. Why did he have to see that... That terrible display... It made her stomach twist and turn. So much that she was soon over the toilet bowl; hurling.

After a moment Pietro knocked on the door, "um... Ciara? Are you okay?"

She paused a moment, and spoke not able to lie to him, "No... I'm not. I'm fair from fine... Why did you have to be there?" She asked softly throwing some mouth wash around her mouth.

Pietro paused uncertainly, leaning against the door frame, "Because... I had to be there because I had to find you. No matter what that meant Ciara, I had to find you."

Ciara, who was now sitting on the floor on her knees looked up at the door. He had to find her?

She turned the handle and opened the door with a creak. She looked up at him, he stood so much taller than her, it seemed like more from the floor. "Why?" She asked, "Why did you have to find me? I wish you hadn't seen that." She muttered the last part, looking up into his eyes.
