Steve can hear woman, and a few men comment on his appearance. He swims across the pool just trying to get his emotions under control. He knew he would have to check out the shopping before all was said and done. He'd find something nice to bring Jan and Pepper. He wishes Jan could have been here. He had always been able to talk to her about stuff that was bothering him. Jan was the one who had made the transition into this new time doable.

While Steve was in the pool, Tony soaking up the rays of the sun, and others going about their business and lives. No one really knew what Hulk was doing or what would happen because of it. An hour passed until a loud splashing sound could be heard, Tony got up, almost half asleep when he stretched and went over to the edge. Hulk was now struggling with a couple sharks that had chased him thinking he was a danger to them. "Hulk, we're on vacation, couldn't you have angered them another time?" Tony asked laughing.

Steve gets out of the pool. Tony is laughing this off, but he is a bit worried. Sharks are no laughing matter. Even if they were messing with the Hulk. The little boy who had been watching Hulk before is, luckily not there. He had gone off with his mom. "Tony do you think we should help him?" He asks, wishing he had brought his shield on the trip with them. Though he hadn't thought he would need it.

"And How would we help him against sharks?" Tony asked and then got silent for a moment, he didn't know how Steve would fight off the sharks, but, Tony had an idea. "Wait here" Tony ran off and was back in a few short minutes with a couple electronics. "Here, early birthday gift" Tony handed an arm band like bracelet to Steve. Once Steve would press a button it would turn into a metal shield similar to his but not as durable. Easy to carry and looks good still like the other one. Tony was wearing a watch now which he pressed a button on and it covered his bare skin but made him look like an an android or cyborg which is half a robot.

Steve gasps as he pushes the button. "Wow." He says grinning like a school boy. He looks down checking on the Hulk. He hoped the big green guy was alright.

"You'll have to figure out the three buttons there, I made sure to put some extra things in it." Each button did something different, one was planned to make sparks as a distraction when it would spin. Flying, spinning, firecracker in other words. The other button was alot better and it could levitate or fly in the air. And the last one was known as the mystery button that didn't always work. (you can chose that one) Though Tony forgot to mention, not to press all three at once, he forgot what it did, let alone that is why he had forgotten.
Tony jumped into the water swimming over to the hulk and getting the attention of one of the sharks. Good thing he made this suit water proof and built in energy packs which would help for long periods of swimming. Everyone else on the boat had no idea it was going on, it was as if they didn't see or hear them. Almost like they were invisible altogether. |
Steve pushes the mystery button as he jumps into the water. He gets the other sharks attention. He really hopes this idea doesn't back fire on them.

Tony had energy boosts and mainly super strength at his aid thanks to the technology while he punches one of the sharks. When the mystery button was pressed and Steve headed for the sharks gaining attention, a bright and powerful light like blast appeared throwing everyone off guard and scaring the sharks blinding them. Tony and Hulk at that moment the light came closer to them had turned their heads to keep the light from being too much for them. The light faded after a long moment and the shield was still hovering. It was a powerful surge of energy, the sharks would be luckily if they didn't become someone's dinner.

Steve had turned his head too, thank goodness. "Wow that was effective." He says with a small smile. "You o.k. there big guy?" He says. He was glad to see that both of his teammates had turned their gazes as well. Who knows what it would have done if they hadn't.

Hulk nodded after rubbing in his eyes "What is that thing?" Hulk asks as Tony answers "An early birthday gift, guess it was a good thing I brought it along with me" "So where is mine?" Hulk asked somewhat pouting. "At the mansion" "I get it when we get back" Hulk stated and went under the water to go swimming again, he was sure the light scared away everything besides the fish. Tony laughed, he hadn't actually made anything for Hulk yet, afraid he would smash it.

"You better come up with something." Steve says treading water. He wonders how they are going to get back up onto the ship. He leans in a kisses Tony. He isn't sure why he choose now to do it, it just seemed right some how.

Tony figured he had some what of a way, who on the ship wouldn't help them, and all that they had to do was make up something since no one was starting, that is if anyone asked. Tony was about to comment on a way to get back on the ship, but, he wasn't counting on being kissed by his comrade, let alone Captain America. Tony never rejects a kiss, not even from the one person who grew up admiring for his loyalty and strength to the U.S. Tony doesn't return it but pulls away "What was that about?" |
"Nothing, just forget it." He blushes red. Why had he done that? What had he been expecting? Tony was straight, obviously. He just looks down at the water. He berates himself, but at least he knows now. "Let's get back on the ship." He says after a moment.

Tony was going to shake it away, but, figures since no one can see them yet, otherwise they would ask what were they doing. Tony nods, he had a different idea in mind as he got out of the water using the water jets that soon turned into fire jets and sped towards the unmoved boat. Once he landed his armor went back into the wrist band and he stretched "I'm going to take a quick nap and get cleaned up before tonight, I will see you then." Tony said walking off to their room and going into the restroom, the door half open because Tony wanted to be aware if someone came in. Though he didn't think anyone not even the Hulk would.

Steve sighs as Tony heads off. Of course he was disgusted with him. He heads back to the room to change and do some shopping before this evening. He walks in and starts getting changed.

The steam from the shower was slipping out into the other room, Tony was actually singing an old hit from the 1940s, he wouldn't tell anyone but he liked the music back then more than now. He grew up listening to it though and classical was his favorite. He started washing his hair while facing the shower head and scrubbed the soap in, then turned his back to the shower faucet and started washing it out as the soap and hot water ran down his fit body.

Steve hears him singing, he recognizes the song. He's amazed that Tony would know that. He doesn't know about Tony's love of the old music. He listens for a moment just taking it all in. Yes, he could admit to himself, he was in love with Tony Stark. Even though he knew Tony would never return that love. He finishes changing and heads out to do some shopping.

After taking a hot shower, he dresses into pajama like black pants, flip flops and a white jean jacket for the cool air. He combed his hair like usual and put on sunglasses that were for style not to keep the sun out. The sun was going down soon and Tony chose to read until he saw the sun fade away through his little window. Once it faded he stood up stretching, he walked out of the room taking his time until he found himself on the very top of the boat, the part where most weren't allowed but he talked the others into it. Hulk was asleep in his room, he was tired after all of that swimming he did, and then fighting the sharks. (the very top, like the part where its above the captain's room) The moonlight was shining down upon him, the breeze was gentle but a bit cooler than during the day was and the ocean was magnificent.

Steve has dropped off the packages at there room. He finds Tony. "Hey." He says joining him up there. It was amazing the perks you got when you were a celebrity. He wonders if Tony will tell him to piss off after that kiss. But he hopes not. He hopes he can stay friends with him, even if it does break his heart.

"Why did you kiss me earlier?" Tony asked staring out into the ocean with a small smile upon his face. He was waiting for the answer, no matter the answer, there would be diligent response from him. An honest response that he wouldn't joke about even if it was taken that way. Tony had thought it could be only be a joke, or maybe Steve wanted to know what it was like to kiss a guy, or see how Tony would react. The possibility of Steve liking a womanizer such as himself didn't really occur to him.

Steve is taken a back by his question. It wasn't what he had been expecting. He is silent for awhile. Then he whispers. "Did it ever occur to you, even briefly, that I might like you?" He pauses then continues. "Of course not." He turns to leave.

Tony leans on one of the railings and when he heard the answer, he was going to respond, however, he couldn't because Steve was walking away from him. Tony reaches out grabbing his wrist, the moonlight shining down upon them both, the scenery was set and so was the mood. "I really wish you'd hear me out before you leave, I never thought someone has wonderful and amazing like my childhood hero would like a womanizer like me" Tony spoke realizing he was holding onto Steve's wrist too tightly and loosened his grip. "Leave if you want" Tony said taking off his sunglasses, "But, I wanted to share this with you" Tony let go, leaning on his elbows on the railing, and staring up at the moon.

Steve pauses when Tony grabs his wrist. He can feel a jolt of electricity shoot through his body. ::He thinks I'm wonderful and amazing.:: He thinks to himself. He isn't sure how to respond. He is a bit sad when Tony let's go. It hadn't hurt, much. He is silent awhile longer just standing in that same spot. He was weary from being a hero. In being a hero, he had lost so much. "Thanks for sharing." He says from the same spot a moment later. A part of him does wonder if Tony has feelings for him. Feelings beyond just team mates.

Tony's heart began to beat loudly, it was almost as if it was the only thing he could hear, and it was helping the situation. His did hear what Steve says and sighs about the response. Tony was the player, the womanizer, he hadn't really been with a guy or in this kind of situation before. "Steve, wait" Tony got off the railing taking Steve's wrist pulling him closer quickly and pinning him against the railing (the railing would've been a little above their waist) "I wasn't finished" Tony said thinking that this was new to him, but, it had to be like kissing a woman, which wasn't so new to him. They were so close, Tony couldn't help it anymore, and he closed the space between them. Moving in, he placed his lips against Steve's, and it felt as if the world had disappeared around them.

Steve is taken a back by the suddenness of Tony pushing him against the railing. What he wasn't prepared for was Tony kissing him. He tenses for a moment then practically melts into the kiss. His arms go around Tony's waist as he returns the kiss.
