Monte collapsed into Tony the second the other man touched him, sobbing and his knees going weak. "Tony..." He cried, lacing his fingers in Tony's hair. He felt like a big emotional mess and the only person who couldnmake it better was Tony Di'nozzo. "Please...don't let go. Hold me." He begged, not cRing how he sounded or what he looked like. He just needed the comfort of having Tony hold him and comfort him.
Tony wrapped his arms tightly around Monte, glad he got a response out of him. He rubbed the kid's back gently, hoping to comfort him. He really wasn't one for emotional comfort, but he was going to do his best to help Monte through this. Tony kept the pressure of the rubbing gently, holding Monte close. "Don't worry... I'm not going anywhere." He assured.
Monte kept crying until he got tired and then slumped to the floor, dragging Tony down with him and closed his eyes. Monte was ready to go to sleep, right here still in his clothes and shoes. He yawned and felt that his eyes were puffy and hurt. He was so glad to have Tony right at this moment. "You're not an idiot.." Monte whispered, rubbing his cheek against Tony's. "I was mean to you..,I'm sorry Tony..." He apologized, feeling his ability to stay awake slipping away from him.
Tony stayed silent, continuing with his soothing motions, really hoping he was helping Monte. He didn't expect to get dragged to the floor, but that didn't stop him from rubbing the kid's back. "It's not your fault..." he muttered, not wanting to be too loud. He could tell Monte was falling asleep and he didn't want to disturb him. Once he was sure the other was completely asleep, Tony stood and picked Monte up and brought him into the bedroom. He set him down gently before removing his shoes and pants, figuring that would make it a lot more comfortable to sleep. Tony checked the room to make sure that there was no-one else who had managed to get in before checking the rest of the place. You can never be too careful.
Monte hardly stirred as he was carried to the bedroom, only giving a slight groan of protest as his clothing was removed, then driving back to sleep. He was worn out from crying and his body needed it's rest. He woke up about two a.m. and stared up at the dark ceiling "Tony..?" he called, wanting the other man here with him. He was feeling a bit frightened by the dark and what might be in it. He didn't want to be alone and the only person he could really trust in the whole wide world was Tony. No one else could help him.
After Tony made sure that the rest of his place was secure, he headed to the living room. He plopped down on his couch, settling back and flicking on the tv. He idly flipped through the channels, stopping on a random basketball game. He couldn't really get as into the game as he normally would and he sighed. Tony wasn't really tired, but he headed to his room and got changed into his pajamas before slipping into bed next to Monte. He didn't want the kid to be alone tonight. He slept lightly, shifting when he heard Monte speak. "Yeah?" He asked, forcing his eyes open.
"Hmm..." he hummed in contentment as he realized the one he'd been seeking was right beside him. "There you are." He said softly, curling up into Tony now. "I didn't know where you were." He said quietly and yawned, closing his eyes now. "Thank you for being here for me.." He muttered softly, hoping Tiny had heard him, but not having the energy to speak any louder. He dozed off again, sleeping soundly leaned in the curve of Tony's body.
Tony couldn't help but smile lightly. Even though he wouldn't admit it, but Monte was acting... Cute. There really was no other way to describe it. He wrapped an arm around the kid slightly, holding him close. Tony stayed awake for a little longer, waiting until Monte feel asleep before he closed his eyes as well. It didn't take long for him to drift off quickly.
When Monte woke up it was early in the morning. He smiled when he saw Tony asleep, his ark around Monte in a protective, comforting way. He kissed the man's cheek and slipped out of the bed, showering, brushing his teeth and putting on one of Tony's dress shirts to cover himself. He walked into the kitchen and raided the fridge, getting put ingredients to make Tony and him some food. He turned on the stove and got a frying pan, making bacon and eggs with toast. He brought two plates to the bed, setting his own on the bedside counter and now attempting to wake Tony. He waved a peice of bacon in front of the agent's nose. "Tony...Tony..." He cooed. "It's time to get up and eat food."
Tony didn't react much when Monte got out of the bed. All he did was mumble quietly and roll over onto his side. Some part of his subconcious could hear the shower going, but it wasn't enough to actually wake him. What finally got to him was the smell of food and he opened his eyes slowly. It took Tony a few seconds for his mind to actually register what was in front of him and he sat up slowlu. "You didn't have to cook. I would have made something when I got up." He said, taking one of the plates. The food smelled good and his stomach growled, wanting to be fed.
Monte shrugged. "I just felt like it. It got my mind of all the important things that are going on right now. The less I think about the trouble I'm in, the less depressed I feel. I feel pretty good right now." He smiled and took a bite of bacon. "Thanks for making me feel better last night. I wasn't feeling so brave, and with you holding me, I didn't have to be brave." He kissed Tony's cheek in a friendly way. "You're my best friend...I hope you know that. You're the only person on this planet that I trust."
Tony nodded slowly, listening to Monte talk. What he was saying was making sense. Tony liked keeping himself busy when he was feeling upset or depressed and knew that it was a good stress reliever. He smiled lightly at the kid before he started to eat, making a plwased noise from the back of his throat. This was good. Tony glanced at him curiously. "You can trust Gibbs you know. After all, he is out there looking for the people after you and who killed your dad. He's a very trustworthy guy."
Monte frowned. "I'm not so sure I like Gibbs. He headslaps you and it pisses me off." He balled his hand up in a fist. "I don't care who he thinks he is, you don't deserve to be hit under any circumstance." He really didn't like the way Gibbs would hit Tony if he did or said something wrong. It seemed slightly abusive to the younger man. He kept eating his food for a moment before soaking again. "Besides, I don't really know Gibbs yet."
Tony raised an eyebrow lightly. He honestly didn't mind Gibbs hitting him. Often times, it would help get his mind back on the right track during a case. He found it kind of cute though that Monte didn't like it. Tony smiled lightly as he continued eating. "Well... Gibbs has his own way of getting things done. Hitting us just helps sometimes." He said, shrugging. "Besides, once you get to know him a little, you'd know he is actually a great guy."
Monte looked a little skeptic about it at first, but decided to let it go. "Well as long as he docent really hurt you I guess it'll be ok..." He muttered, still not looking convinced. Monte wasn't sure how Tony could think Gibbs was so grand. "I mean, he took away your weekend to make you babysit me when you'd already been doing that all week. He should've given you a break. I know you must have a girlfriend to go drink with or something. It's not fair if he makes you cancel."
Tony smiled lightly, unable to help himself. Even though the slaps hurt, it wouldn't do any permaneant damage. He shook his head, finishing up his food and setting his plate on the bedside table. "Honestly, I don't mind watching over you. My friends know when I can't hang with them." He said, shrugging lightly. "Plus, as of right now, I don't have a girlfriend."
Monte tried not to show just how pleased he was that Tony was single. "So, does that mean you're single? Or maybe have a boyfriend?" He asked, trying not to act like he really cared either way. He didn't want to scare him off, not that he thought Tony liked him anyway. He only wished.
Tony raised an eyebrow at Monte's questions. He already knew the kid liked him, but he wasn't sure how to respond. "No... No boyfriend." He said, shrugging lightly. He didn't want to risk leading Monte on. After all, Tony was supposed supposed to be protecting this kid. Well... That, and he wasn't completely sure how he felt about him yet.
Monte nodded. "O, ok...that cool.." He said, dropping the subject and eating his food. He glanced at Tony a few times, but was still trying to act like he didn't like him anymore. He was pretty much failing at the current moment. He knew he mist seem silly for even asking those questions.
Tony leaned back in his seat, watching Monte curiously. He knew the kid liked him... So why isn't he saying anything about it? He shruggde it off and smiled lightly. "So... Anything you want to do today?" He asked. If Monte wanted to go anywhere, Tony would be sure to keep a close eye on him to make sure nothing happened.
Monte thought. "what if we go hang out at NCIS? I kind of wanted to go see Abby." he said, running a hand through his blonde hair. He missed the goth chick and figured it would be some relief on Tony if he didn't have to keep watching him. At NCIS he'd be safe. That meant Tony could relax and do whatever he wanted.
Tony thought for a second before nodding slowly. "Alright. Just let me get ready first. You can go watch some tv while you wait." He said, standing up. "Don't answer the door or phone and if someone breaks in, come get me. I'm going to get a quick shower." He grabbed his plate to take into the ktchen.
Monte sat on the couch and nodded. "Ok." He said, waiting until Tony was in the shower before turning on the tv. He jumped up and looked in Tony's wallet, wanting to find out some things about him. Anti said that if Monte checked the dates on the condoms in Tony's wallet he'd get a good idea of how long it'd been since Tony's gotten laid. A man who was deprived of sex would be easier to seduce. He could hope he didn't get caught looking in here.
Tony showered quickly, not liking the thought of Monte being alone for too long. Especially since one guy already broke into his house, he didn't want to have someone else come in and not be there to protect the kid. When Tony was done in the shower, he shaved quickly and brushed his teeth before heading into his room to get dressed. He ran a hand through his hair before heading to his living room. "Ready to go?"
Monte's eyes went wide at the sound of Tony's voice and he put the wallet down, quickly sitting back on the couch. "Yeah, I'm ready." He said with a small, innocent smile. He then went to Tony's car, dragging the older man with him. "I'm kind of excited to get out for a few hours ya know?" Monte was kind of jumpy. "I thought this would give you some space too..."
