Tony woke about two hours after Monte showed up. It took a few seconds for him to figure out where he was. He was pretty sure he didn't get undressed last night, but he shrugged it off. He headed to the bathroom to shower and brush his teeth before getting dressed. He frowned when he saw the note Monte left. He was moving out? He seemed fine with staying just the other day. He shrugged and grabbed his keys and jacket before heading outside. If the kid didn't want to stay with him, he wasn't going to force him. Tony headed towards his car, ready to go to work.
Monte hit his steering wheel hard with his hand. Why the heck did Tony have go be a drunkard? Why? He'd seemed like such a gear person before and now he seemed filthy. Monte guessed one could only see what a person was like after being around them for a good while. He figured he really should go back to say thank you to the people at NCIS. he drove down there and went in, going to see Abby first who frowned. "I thought you were trying to impress Tony. I'm not sure he'll go for the dark hair.." Monte crossed his arms. "I don't care what he thinks. He's a damn drunkard." Abby sighed and shook her head. "Well I'm glad you stopped by. I'll see you later Monte." Monte gave her a little nod and left, about to leave the building when he heard Gibbs. "Come on." He was talking to someone. Gibbs was headed for the truck with Ziva right behind him. He guessed they had a case and if Ziva was there he was sure Tim and Tony would be too. He knew if he ran they'd think he was guilty of something, so he just walked out to his little black corvette, about to get in when he felt a hand on his arm. He flinched, thinking it was Tony and seeing Ziva. "Hey Monte." She looked confused. "Why are you here?" She asked and Monte shrugged. "I came to say goodbye to Abby. I'm thinking of moving." He said calmly. Ziva cocked an eyebrow. "moving? Where?" Monte smiled. "California. There's nothing and no one left for me here. I figured maybe I could find some sort of happiness." He looked kind of sad and Ziva was puzzled. Was he running away from his problems? She wondered if he thought having a new start would make things somehow better. It really wouldn't and she knew he'd just end up on the run again. He'd probably end up dead or crazy. Maybe both. She shook her head and let him go. "Well, good bye then." She said, catching a glare from Gibbs and knowing she was supposed to be with him. Tim glanced over at Monte and seemed confused. "I thought he was a blond?" he questioned.
Monte took a deep breath before finally sighing and finding Tony. He pulled him off to the side and made sure no one could hear them. "Tony. I came in this morning and you were a damn mess. Is this a regular for you? I don't want to be undressing you every night." He said calmly, making sure he didn't add any anger in his voice. He knew he couldn't just assume things, he should see if this was something Tony did often or not. |
Tim had just gotten to work and sat down when he had to get back up for a job. He sighed, running a hand through his hair and grabbed his bag. He didn't even have a chance to get any asprin from his desk. He did have a hang over, but it wasn't as bad as he originally thought it would have been, considering how much he had to drink last night. He followed the rest of his teammates outside, tilting his head curiously when he spotted Monte. When did the kid dye his hair? It must have been sometime last night. He watched Ziva go over to him, but he turned away to get the SUV ready to go. Tony blinked, surprised when he was pulled aside and he glanced at Monte, curious. He frowned and crossed his arms. So Monte was the one who undressed him? That was odd.... Tony shook his head once. "No. It's not a regular thing. I went out with some friends last night I haven't seen in awhile and we went a little overboard." He said. Even if he did get drunk enough to collapse, he didn't want anyone undressing him like that again.
Monte wasn't sure if he was convinced, but he'd have to trust him for now. He eyed Tony for a moment before bidding his head. "Alright. I believe you. I just don't want to be undressing you. It's kind of weird. And it brings back bad memories." He then smiled. "I'm quite glad to know we Have that issue resolved." He looked at Tony for a second. "So, have a good day at work. And Tony. Try and be home by six ok?" Monte left and went by the grocery store. He'd be sure to have dinner ready for Tony when he got home. Monte got everything ready to be cooked once he got home and grinned. He hoped Tony would like having dinner cooked for him.
Tony sighed quietly, but nodded as he headed back to the SUV. He honestly didn't know why he had to tell Monte his drinking habits. It wasn't really any of his business. Sure, Tony was the designated driver most nights, which means he only has about two drnks top, but if he wanted to get drunk out of his mind, he had every right to be. If Monte didn't want to undress him, he didn't have too. Tony wasn't going to force him. He was comfortable with sleeping in his clothes. The case today was actually quite simple and they had the guy by the time they went home, which was about 6:30. Tony headed home, hoping Monte wasn't too mad that he was late. Which confused him because he wasn't sure why he should even care. He pushed the thought from his mind as he parked his car and headed inside.
Monte was scrambling to get the meal finished in time for Tony. He was running late on the cooking and when he finished it was about six twenty-five. He was pretty glad Tony was home late. He had the food on the plates as he heard Tony's car pull up and he set it up in front of the t.v. He wasn't sure what Tony would want to drink, so he looked in the fridge. There was milk, tea, and beer. He figured Tony might want a veer maybe, so he set one with the food. Monte had always liked cooking and even more for people he cared about. He'd learned a lot over the years about making food. Without having a mother around, and a dad who always had to get carryout Chinese, hed taken up this hobby. He was covered from head to toe in flour which made him look kind of white and powdery, and he was pretty exhausted. He'd made steak, potatos, green beans, and even baked his own dinner rolls and a pie. He could hear Tony about to come in and he made sure every thing was set up for him, fidgeting nervously. What if Tony didn't like the food? What if he didn't like surprises? What of he already had plans for tonight? Monte felt kind of jittery about all of this. He was pretty sure Tony would think he was flirting by doing this, so he'd be sure to try and make it as normal as possible.
Tony stifled a yawn as he came inside his house. It took a few seconds for him to realise that something smelled really good and a small smile formed on his face when he caught sight of the food. He hung his jacket up before looking towards Monte, an eyebrow raising in mild amusement. "What happened? Did the flour attack you?" He asked, a teasing tone in his voice to let Monte know he was just joking. He wasn't the type of guy to be mean to someone who went through all the trouble of making dinner. Tony plopped down on the couch and smiled, slipping his shoes off and pushing them under the coffee table. "Food looks good." He commented, his stomach growling quietly. He was more than ready to start eating. He was surprised though that Monte actually cooked for them. But it was a nice thing to do. He couldn't remember the last time someone else cooked for him.
Monte was happy that Tony seemed pleased and it showed all over his face. He pulled off his apron and dusted himself off. "Yeah, I guess it kinda attacked me a little. That happens sometimes." He smiled a little, grabbing his own plate and sitting down to eat. He yawned sleepily before taking the first bite. "So how was your day?" He asked, feeling like that might be an ok way to start a conversation even if it did seem like something someone would say to their spouse after a long day of work. He took a bite of steak and chewed slowly. It was pretty good he thought, and hoped Tony would like it as well. He stared at a bottle of beer that was before him and tilted it a little, not sure if he really wanted to try the stuff. He sniffed it and then took a little sip, his face contorting in a weird look before he swallowed. "O my god! That's terrible!" He whined, taking a bite of potato to get rid of that taste. "Eww." He said with a crinkle of his nose. "That's nasty." He wondered if Tony would be mad he tried it. It was kind of illegal for him to be drinking since he wasn't 21 yet. He'd just wanted a try though. He wanted to understand how someone could like that stuff.
Tony smiled as he took a bite of steak. It was actually quite good. Not that he didn't expect it too be... He was just... Pleasantly surprised. "Very good." He complimented, taking another bite. "My day was fine. Got the bad guy quicker than normal, which is good." He said, shrugging. He glanced over at Monte from the corner of his, raising an eyebrow when he saw the kid had a beer. Even though Tony knew he shouldn't let him drink it, it wouldn't hurt to just let him try it. He let out a small laugh at Monte's reaction, unable to help himself. "It takes some getting used." He said, taking a drink from his own beer. The first drink was always bitter, but after that it tasted a better.
Monte shook his head. "I'm not sure I could get used to that. It tasted like dishwashing detergent." he frowned. "I think it would be better if it was sweet. I like sweet drinks." He shrugged. "Maybe I should just stick to coke." he said, but took another sip. "I don't know Tony. It still taste pretty bad." He went back to his food and then got up to get something to drink besides beer.
Tony laughed quietly, taking another drink. "If you want. I can pick some up tomorrow after work." He offered, turning his attention back to his food. It was a really good meal. He didn't mind stopping by the store after work tomorrow. There were a couple of things he wanted to pick up anyway.
Monte shrugged. "Ok. That would be nice." He said, thinking. Was it really smart for him to even try that stuff. He figured if he got to drunk he could always do that here at Tony's place so he'd be safe if he got all drunk or something. He certainly didn't want to be all drunk by himself. "Hey, Tony? Is it fun to be drunk?" He asked, curiosity going through him. Tony seemed to think it was fun, so maybe it was.
Tony nodded, taking another drink. He was glad Monte didn't mind him going to the store. He took a few bites of food before glancing at the kid curiously. He thought for a moment before shrugging. "Sure, I guess. It depends on who you're with and how much you drank. If you're not careful, you can end up doing something you're going to regret or end up in jail. Some people use it to forget the bad things going on in their life, but I wouldn't suggest doing that. It won't help much and you just end up feeling worse in the morning." One of the things Tony hated about being drunk was the hangovers in the morning. But that was an inevitable part that he couldn't avoid, so there was no point in complaining.
Monte nodded. "Oh. Ok." He thought. "Would you want to get drunk with me?" He asked, a very small smile on his face. "I think it would be fun. Don't you think so?" He grinned. "I've never been drunk before. I think it would be exciting as long as you were here. I would want to be with someone safe."
Tony thought for a second before shaking his head. "I probably shouldn't let you..." He said, unsure. He really shouldn't let Monte drink in the first place... But... Maybe if he kept an eye on him? That might make it okay... "Besides, you don't even like the taste of beer. How exactly are you supposed to get drunk?"
Monte sighed. "Please Tony? You said some people do it to forget their problems. Please?" He looked up at Tony. The thought of being able to forget, even only for a little while, would be marvelous. "You cam get me something that taste better can't you?" He asked, a slight beg on his face. He wanted to forget. He just wanted to be happy for a little while even at the price of a horrid headache in the morning
Tony sighed, running a hand through his hair. What was he supposed to do? He knew he shouldn't let Monte drink, the kid was underage, but he did make a valid point. What would it hurt if he let him get drunk just this once? Tony sighed before nodding. "Alright. I'll head out to the store and get some things for you to try, alright?" He asked, taking another bite of food.
Monte tried to hide how happy that made him, but it still showed all over his face. He was kid of smiling and his eyes were sparkling. He wondered what this had been like. He understood why people did it now that Tony had explained. Monte would do anything to be happy for any amount of time. Being able to forget that he'd lost his last bit of family would be great. He hugged Tony around the neck. "Thanks Tony." He hummed.
Tony smiled, glad that he was able to make Monte so happy. He honestly still wasn't sure whether or not this was going to be a good idea, but it couldn't hurt. He just had to keep an eye on how much the kid was drinking and everything should be fine. When he was hugged, Tony patted him gently on the back, nodding slowly. "No problem."
Monte nodded. "M'Kay. Well, can I come with you to the store? I really want to." He said, smiling. He was excited. He wondered what kind of stuff there even was. He liked fruity tasting stuff, but he wasn't sure how alcoholic drinks tasted. He walked over to the door and walked out. "Come on Tony. Let's go ahead and go to the store." He said with a hyper grin.
Tony raised an eyebrow at Monte, not sure what exactly has gotten this kid so hyper. Was it really the thought of getting drunk? Maybe... He knew he was pretty excited the first time he drank. So he couldn't understand what the kid was going through. He frowned when Monte headed towards the door. He glanced at his half eaten plate and sighed, standing up. He would just have to finish eating later. "Alright. Let's get going."
Monte skipped out happily, going towards Tony's car and then getting in. In the back of his mind, there was a little doubt about doing this, but his will to do it overpowered that. Hopefully everything would go ok. He was pretty sure Tony would keep him from doing anything to stupid. Then again, maybe not. He just hoped he wouldn't end up embarrassing himself.
Tony took his plate into the kitchen and set it on the counter. He'd clean up in here when they got back from the store. He slipped on his jacket and grabbed his keys before heading out to his car. He smiled at Monte before starting the car. He made a mental note tk kee an eye on the kid to make sure he doesn't end up doing anything he was going to regret. "It's not to late to back out, you know." He said, heading towards the liquor store.
Monte shook his head. "Naw, I don't want to back out. If I don't like it then I'll just never do it again. If I do then have an escape from my life." He shrugged. "It's really not that bad really. I just need to find something smooth enough for me to drink. Some stuff taste pretty bad." He said, getting out once they got there and went in.
Tony nodded slowly. He was sure he could understand what Monte was saying. He had felt like that before, so he couldn't really argue with him. He got out of the car when he reached the store, heading inside. "I get that. Take a look around and pick out anything you think you might like." He said. If Monte picked something too strong or bitter, Tony would be sure to say something.
