Renji watched silently as the movie started. He hoped he liked it. The opening credits started and he scooted closer to Hikari. "So... Are you alright.?"

" I'm alright. I still have many things going through my head right now. What do you know about the person my dad was when he was a Shinigami ? " Hikari asked. She hoped he was a good man back then.

((Ehhh TwT Sorry I have been away. I am trying to study real hard for exams!))

"I know he taught the older kids in the classes. I was already out of the classes by age 16 or so. I became a lieutenant a while ago. Shinigami age very slowly but I know that I am probably in my twenties." He chuckled a bit and looked at her. "What else do you want to know?"

" Was he a good teacher?" Hikari asked. She knew he had liked to teach her things on self-defence when she was a teenager. She missed being around her dad and hoped she would see him again someday.

He nodded proudly. "He was." Renji looked at the television and motioned his head toward it. "Movie is on." He tried to say smoothly. He didn't want to give Hikari too much information to soon. It might be more than she could take. She had already been through a lot and since he was so inexperienced with women he didn't want to say something that would overwhelm her.

Hikari gave a smile and started to watch the movie. She was glad to know more about her dad, but knew this was a lot of information to take in all at once. She watched the movie, glad she was able to be distracted and relax a little bit.

During the movie Renji closed his eyes. He had a sort of bad feeling in the pit of his stomach that wouldn't go away. He might have been thinking to much.

After a while he opened his eyes and watched the movie. It was slightly touching in a way. He raised an eyebrow at the creature Totoro. "So what is that supposed to be? An overgrown chinchilla?"

"He's a forest spirit. I once got lost in the woods looking for one. Never did find it, but I really worried my dad then." Hikari said, remembering that moment as a 9 year old.

Renji stifled a laugh and patted Hikari on the back. "Nice going but those types of spirits aren't as cute and cuddly looking as Totoro." Renji was enjoying the time spent with Hikari and the movie as well. It was pretty cheerful and uplifting yet sad at the same time.

" They aren't? I was a crazy kid. I think I drove both my dad and grandmother crazy with some of ideas I had." Hikari said with laugh and glad she had some company. " Would you like to watch another movie? " She asked, seeing they still had a few hours before dinner.

"They are actually quite terrifying." Renji chuckled. "I was mischievous as a kid." Renji looked at Hikari with a smug look on his face. "What would you like to do Hikari? I am up for anything you want to do. I am just glad to have company."

(I just realized we both said something about them being happy since they have company O__O... I skim to fast >.<)

" How about another movie? I'll let you pick it this time. "Hikari said with a smile. She wondered what movie Renji would pick. " Can I get you anything from the kitchen?" She asked, since she was feeling a little thirsty.

"Nah. I will get it. What would you like?" Renji thought about what movie he would pick out as he got up. "Do you like horror movies?"

"Water is fine. I do like horror movies. I especially like the ones with zombies in them." Hikari said, thinking of her recent obsession with the American show The Walking Dead. She had a few other horror movies, mostly ones about urban legends or monsters.

"Renji picked out a random movie with a picture with a zombie on the front. Eh I kind of don't want to watch a movie. Do you have any tv shows?" Renji was at the door so he could go get water.

" I do have some. They are on the next shelf up. . " She said with a smile. Most of them were shows her dad had liked.She hoped Renji found one that looked interesting to him.

"What is your favorite?" Renji looked at some of the covers. They seemed interesting to him but he just couldn't pick.

" I like Supernatural. It's about two brothers who fight demons. " She said wondering if Renji thought her strange. That show had been a favorite of her father too. " I also like Fullmetal Alchemist. " She said naming one of her favorite anime shows.

"Supernatural sounds cool. What is Full.... what was it again?" Renji wondered where Hikari's fascination with supernatural things stemmed from.

" Fullmetal Alchemist. It's about two brothers on a quest to find the philosophers stone. Though if you don't want anything supernatural there's always The Universe. It's an American science program about space. " She said.

"I am fine with anything you like. I like the sound of the Alchemist show. Maybe we could watch that?" Renji smiled and found the DVD.

" Sounds good to me. " Hikari said. She often wondered why she liked shows about the supernatural, and wondered if it was because she liked to read so much.

Renji walked out of the room and into the kitchen so he could get Hikari her water. He thought he felt something but he just brushed it off as his mind playing tricks on him.

Hikari tensed up, hoping it was her imagination. She hated being so afraid of these things. " Renji do you feel this tense feeling in the air? "She asked, feeling afraid.

By then he had given her the water. "I hope so... I feel it as well."
