Gray laughed and sat down in the warm sand. Natsu sure liked his line. "I remember when Gajeel stole your line, if you two hadn't been on the same side then you would have pounded him on the spot." Gray sobered then at the memory. A lot of people who had been in other guilds had joined theirs, including some who had fought against Fairy Tail. Natsu might have the biggest display of disbelief when that happened, but he accepted them faster than others could. Pity Juvia couldn't just love the guy that truly loved her instead of chasing after him all the time. Life would be easier.

Forcing the thoughts out of his head, he opened the box of tacos and placed them between them. "Dig in. By the way, why were you at Lucy's earlier? You looked pretty out of it and ... drained... when I came in. Everything going alright for you?" Gray looked over him with a touch of concern in his eyes.

Natsu cringed at the question he was asked. "I wasn't doing so well yesterday you know, after the whole fight with me and you and Juvia. I kind of went and made some pretty bad mistakes and Lucy let me stay with her for a while until I could a hold on myself again. I always do stupid stuff when I'm upset...you know how that is." he shook his head. "I don't think things over before just doing them you know?" He didn't really have an appetite now, thinking about the mistake he'd made.

Gray felt concerned all the more now. Yeah, Natsu didn't always think things through. That was Natsu though and he wouldn't change him for the world. Gray reached over and patted his shoulder, "Do you want to talk about it? What happened?" He waited, giving Natsu a chance to decide. Some people liked to get stuff off their chests, others preferred more physical means of relief. Gray wondered if a fist fight was actually needed or not. Natsu didn't enjoy hurting his friends though.

Natsu bit down hard on his lip to keep a sob from coming out. "I went and had sex with this boy." He said, tears coming out now. "And I feel like an idiot." he wondered if Gray would be mad at him for this. He didn't want to ruin what they had right now. He stared down at the sand and then stood. "I'm...not feeling well." age said quietly. "I think l go get some rest."

Gray froze in shock. Sex with a boy? He turned and looked at Natsu in uncomprehending blankness. Taking in Natsu's miserable red face and the tear-swelling eyes, he felt that perhaps he help ease the confusion inside Natsu even if he didn't understand how it happened. Gray only let those he really trusted and cared about close to him. Natsu evidently was more impulsive than Gray realized. He couldn't let Natsu just walk away. Not in such pain as this.

Reaching out, he grabbed Natsu's arm to stop him from leaving. His plans for the night were out the window. But that was okay. Natsu didn't need more guilt. Though how HAD he gotten himself into that situation was beyond Gray. Gray tightened his grip on Natsu's arm, keeping him right there with him. Natsu's warm was slowly soaking into his chilly skin. Gray looked down and said, "If your not feeling well, water therapy is always a good medicinal plan and there is the bay right in front of us." Shifting a little bit in the sand, he then added, "and if rest is something you need then the sand is a soothing, soft, warm place to chill." He wondered if he should offer to leave, so that Natsu could stay.

Natsu stopped when Gray touched him, cringing away a bit before listening to what was to be said. He guessed that meant he wasn't going to escape so easily. He just plopped down in the sand, his legs collaring underneath him. "I'm an idiot." He muttered, knowing there was no way to rectify his mistake. He'd probably ruined the while night for Gray no doubt, and that just made it about fifty billion times worse. What had Gray been planning anyway? Natsu could hear a soft sobbing sound in the back of his own throat. There weren't many things that had made Natau cry in his life, and honestly, he wasn't sure if anyone but Gray had ever actully seen him like this before. That was the thing. Gray was the only person he could just break down around and not have to put up any barriers. he could trust this guy.

Gray felt the hammering in his chest ease as Natsu stayed. He looked so lost and forlorn. Gray settled beside him and was silent. That was his attribute in life after all. After a few moments of silence, he contributed, "The act, not the person, was an idiot... what you did was pretty stupid, but you are not an idiot." He leaned back and looked up at the stars that were starting to come out. No one out in the bay would be able to see them now, as the light was dim enough to hide them completely in their own private world. Natsu had been more than eager to be with him. It wasn't just anyone he had wanted, as he had accused Gray when Juvia had shown up. They were similar. Natsu had eyes on for him. And right now, he really didn't think he wanted to be that close with anyone but Natsu.

Slowly shifting, he moved around until he was sitting behind Natsu. Wrapping his arms around him, he pulled the anguished friend back to that Natsu was reclining against him. His body seemed warmer than normal. Gray sighed and leaned his head down on top of Natsu's head, allowing his cooler presence to flow around them both. Hopefully, it would calm down the guy. He had to be pretty chaotic inside.

He guessed that did kind of make some sense. Maybe it was just his actions that were stupid, not him. He still felt kid of bad about going and doing that though. It hadn't been very rational. He should've thought first before doing what he did, but that was already done and now he just had to get over it. He was glad Gray wasn't mad at him though. Natsu leaned back against Gray and closed his eyes, feeling about a billion times better. He was happy now. "Hmm..." He muttered, just enjoying the coolness of the other boy. He curled up closer to Gray and yawned. "Gray.." He whispered. "Thank you for making me feel better. He said and then turned around just enough to kiss the other. "I love you." He whispered.

Gray smiled at the words. Love. There were so many different kinds of love. He felt a brotherly and protective love for those in the guild. He felt a bit stronger love for their team. He really, really cared about Natsu even if they did fight all the time. He rested his chin on top of Natsu's head and listened to the sounds of the waves lapping up on the shore. It was a calming atmosphere. He looked out over the bay with the twinkling stars reflecting off of its surface. It was a very pleasant place. Letting Natsu's warm calm his own muscles, he sat in peace thinking.

Natsu figured he could comfortably stay like this forever. The sound of the waves was culling him to sleep and Gray's comforting presence lulled him even farther into a nap. Within a few short minutes he was asleep ad his breath was warm and even. His fingers curled into little fist ad he slumped against the other boy, soft sounds coming from him as he slept. The icyness mixed with his own heat had caused a sensation that could put anyone to rest. It was so comfortable and he nearly purred.

Realizing they were going to spend the night out here, Gray shifted Natsu around and settled him into the sand. Then he lay down as well and with Natsu's warm presence, let the night pull him into slumber. It was quite a way to spend the night. Tacos laying nearby and the wind whipping around them. He let his dreams come claim him, or rather he claimed them and made them his own. They were of Natsu and of the most, enjoyable, theme. It wasn't long before he felt himself becoming excited and hardened even though he knew he was asleep.

Natsu himself was having rather vivid and sexy dreams, waking up painfully excited. He crawled up and sat up, looking around, but seeing nothing but darkness. A chilliness next to him told him that Gray was nearby. That was comforting for him and he then felt water coming up on him. He yelped when he realized that was the tide coming up. He grabbed Gray and ran for dry land. "dang it." He whined, looking as the sea claimed their tacos. He'd lit a stick and lit it, so he had a torch to see. He turned now to look at Gray who appeared to be just as excited as Natsu himself was. He licked his lips to moisten them. He hated the fact that they were outside and not somewhere that they could help each other with their 'rising' problems. He wondered if maybe they set up a towel they could go at it right here on the beach.

Gray blinked in the flickering torch light that Natsu held. That was the most confusing run he had ever taken. He had definitely been thinking about other things than this. Now he stood and blinked at Natsu like a deer caught in headlights. This was just too romantic. On the beach until the stars and gentle moonlight with heat grazing his face. The torch in Natsu's hand wasn't the only hot item before him and he his own stronger than ever. He took a step towards Natsu and whispered his name.

Natsu shivered when his name was whispered to him, nearly dropping the torch. He stick the torch in the sand upright and gazed at Gray's face in the flickering torchlight mixed with the moonlight. This was simply a beautiful moment that they had right now and he felt his heart flutter around in his chest. He slowly moved towards Gray and then twined both arms around the other's neck before kissing him. He felt the heat mix with the icy chill and was instantly brought alive in a whole new way. He became passionate and pushed his body tightly against Gray's, not feeling as if he could get close enough to the other.

Gray felt his body slowly heating up. It was a rare thing for that to happen. His brain ceased to function as emotions and feelings took his complete attention. He wasn't used to feeling emotions as that was one thing that he kept somewhat suppressed. He didn't care at the moment though, as Natsu made up his entire world. Heart pounding, he returned the kiss hesitantly... trying to figure out how to even move with emotions instead of brains driving him. Then gave up and let his body do what it knew naturally already. He deepened the kiss and felt fire. Natsu was his sun. Raging fires swirled in his mouth at Gray desperately dug in deeper. One of his hands pulled at the back of Natsu's neck as he tried to get more. The other slipped across his abdomen and around his side to the small of his back, pulling him hard against himself. He felt Natsu's bulge and that turned him on even more. Surging heat soared through him, driving him. Making him desperate. He had never reacted this way before.

Natsu was rather surprised by the passion with which Gray kissed him, making him almost dizzy. He felt a certain shyness around Gray and it made a soft, pink blush come up on his face. He felt close to collapsing at this point, his knees weak with this all. He sank down to the sand and yanked on Gray's arm to pull him down beside him. "Gray..." He gasped, forgetting what he had even be about to say. He leaned over the other and nipped at his jaw before settling beside him, still a bit shy about making any really sudden moves on Gray.

Gray knelt there taking deep breath as Natsu nipped his jaw. He looked into Natsu's blushing face with fevered eyes. Why was he reacting so strongly to Natsu? Was it because he cared about him so much? He wrapped his arms around Natsu's shoulders and rested his forehead on one of Natsu's shoulders. He was quivering inside and felt like he might just fall apart if he couldn't get his mind to start thinking again. Such passion actually existed.

Natsu held Gray there for a second before kissing him and pushing him down flat on the sand and climbing over him. He kissed him and then down his neck and lower still.

Gray was breathless. Even an hour later he couldn't quite seem to wrap his mind around it. Looking up at the twinkling stars that filled the night sky, he felt that nothing could match this night. It had been his intention to seduce Natsu but it was quite the other way around. That didn't matter though. He had a whole new way to look at the world now. He turned and lightly kissed Natsu, wondering if perhaps there was such a thing as soul mate after all.

Natsu also had a bit of a problem catching his breath. He laid there beside Gray, pondering how the night had gone about. "Too bad about the tacos though. The water took them." He laughed. "I didn't think to grab them when we ran from the tide." He smiled and kissed Gray back. "Hey, Gray." He paused. "I'm glad we're you know...with each other in a way." He said, not sure how to explain how he was feeling. He just knew he didn't want anyone but Gray.

Gray knodded in agreement. "It is hard to explain, but so am I." He figured breakfast would taste all the better since they skipped supper. He pulled Natsu closer and rested his head back. Sleep. They lacked sleep. He sleepily wondered if having a boyfriend was such a bad idea. He hated commitments though.

Natsu nodded at the order to sleep. He needed that rest to keep going tomorrow, and so he closed his eyes, allowing himself to drift off. His dreams were nice again. This time his dreams were sweet and romantic. Like having dinner with Gray, or going to the movies. But they weren't dating, so he didn't really expect to go on dates like that. It just wasn't something he was to hopeful for. He knew that they were friends, close friends, but nothing more. As sad as that was, that was the way Gray wanted it to be and he had to accept that. His friends had commitment issues he guessed. Natsu had never really had that problem honestly. He was guessed they were just different in that way and he accepted that fact.

Gray woke up to the sound of morning doves and other early morning birds. He glanced at Natsu and shook his head. Guy could sleep through a tornado. Carefully getting up and stretching, he sauntered down the beach back to the taco place. Getting an order, he laughed at the breakfast they were going to have. So unconventional. Oh well, it was tasty so no room for complaints. He started walking back to where he had left Natsu.

Natau had hardly stirred the entire time Gray had been up and moving. He woke not to long after Gray left and whined when he couldn't find the other and he reached around blindly to pull him back close. To his displeasure, when he opened his eyes Gray wasn't there. He though surely Gray hadn't just ditched him. He smiled when he saw Gray was approaching with food. That made more sense.

Seeing Natsu awake, Gray grinned and plopped in the sand beside him. "Figured you would like breakfast. Want to try the nachos again? Last night didn't quite work out." He handed him the bag and pulled one out for himself. They were tasty things with extra cheese. Gray didn't usually indulge in the extra fat but it was okay every once in awhile.
