Gemini smiled and took the food.she and Miko each took a bite, exchanged a look, and started wolfing the food down at a potentially dangerous pace."it's amazing! I haven't eaten this well since the fire!" She exclaimed.Miko barked his agreement.

Todd shrugged."well, we could start with breakfast.it is the most important meal of the day." He suggested."I can hunt something down pretty quick if you want.or I have a little bread packed.or if you want to skip it, we could go walking or something..."

"It fills my heart with joy to see you enjoying yourself." Inokumaru told Gemini as she slowly ate along side of the two foxes.

"Some meat sounds good." Inuyami said as she started a fire to both heat the home and cook whatever Todd returned with. "It'll give me time to tidy up a little bit." She looked at all the dust and cobwebbs in her home.

Gemini tried to speak, realized her mouth was full, swallowed, and tried again."well then I intend to make you happy all the time because I enjoy myself immensely just being around you." She said happily.Miko weaved in between Inokumaru's legs, making happy sounds.Gemini laughed."I think Miko likes you, too!" She said.

Todd smiled."ok, I'll go catch something good for you." He said, then bounded out the door excitedly like a new wolf pup.he went out into the forest and changed into his demon form.he crouched low in the underbrush and started hunting.soon enough, he had two good sized rabbits.he brought them back and presented them proudly to Inuyami.

When Todd returned, Inuyami had the doors and windows wide open. Dust clouds pour out of every dirrection possible as the mad woman inside went on a cleaning spree. When the kitsune male reapeared out of the forest, her hair was still pulled back in a sloppy manner, loose strands flew with the wind every which way.

"Oh Todd." She blushed and wipped her cheak, leaving a dirty streek where she'd touched. "Wow, two rabbits, that's amazing!" Inuyami praised Todd, setting a hand his shoulder she leaned in and kissed him on his cheak.

Inokumaru smiled warming not sure of what to say to the girl. He wished it would be simple enough where she could always be with him, but for now the time they had together was bliss.

Todd smiled at the praise and blushed brightly when she kissed him."uh...thanks.I hope they're enough.I mean, they're pretty hefty, but it's hard to tell with rabbits..." he said.

Gemini finished her breakfast and stood up, brushing her tail off from the dusty ground."so, what can we do together before you have to leave?" She asked a little sullenly.

"Not much I'm affraid. I should of returned before sunset last night. As it is, I'm probably being watched by one of my master's faithful eyes." Inokumaru scanned the forest with his one good eye, knowing how sneeking some of Naraku's men could be. "I don't want to put you in any sort of danger."

"Their wonderful rabbits and will make a great meal." Inuyami told Todd as she went out side and began to clean the rabbit.

Gemini squinted, then laughed."danger? Inokumaru, I am in danger every day of my life.I have been for years.Naraku hunts me, probably watches me even now." She said.but then her expression softened."but...thank you.no one has ever been concerned for my safety before." Miko barked."except Miko, of course." Gemini added.Miko barked again, satisfied, and Gemini smiled."when can I see you again?" She asked.

Todd followed and watched Inuyami clean the rabbits.as he watched, he said a silent prayer for the creatures.Todd always prayed over his catch, hoping to be forgiven for killing it in the first place."I tried to stop eating meat once." He said conversationally."I felt bad for the animals, and I refused to eat their meat.but as it turns out, being part demon makes me need meat the way humans need water.so my mother made me promise to never stop eating meat again." He told her, almost seeming to be talking to himself.as if he needed to say it out loud."but I've seen full demons who don't need meat like I do.it makes me wonder...what did my mother not tell me? This is something I have to find out." He added.

Inuyami listened to Todd speak but was unsure of how to respond. She took the entrails of the rabbits outside and tossed them outside her barrior for the wolves to eat. When she returned she put the rabbits in a large black pot with some water she'd collected not long before. Placing the pot on a hook above the fire she then tossed in some carrots and potato chunks. A stew would be the best way to serve the bunnies.

"Perhaps there are just something we're meant to learn on our own." Inuyami finally said in reply to Todd. She'd been thinking about her father and the broken past the two of them shared. There was far to many questions like Todd's that Inuyami had for her own parent.

"I'm not sure." Inokumaru answered Gemini with a frown that he did his best to conseal. He didn't want her to miss him nor did he want to have to leave herside. But if Naraku was indeed after her, it was best that he did so. "I promise it will not be long though." He wasn't sure how he was going to keep that promise or how long he really would be away from her. All Inokumaru knew was that this woman, Gemini, was now the most important thing to him.
