The Teacher

Hikaru rolled over and looked at his brother, his exact image. He groggily blinked for a clearer image of things. "Kaoru" He said lightly closing his eyes again, This alarm blaring after a minute. "Kaoru turn it off." He grumbled. His twin lifted himself with both arms off the bed, leaving himself in a push up position. a moment later he collapsed.

"Dun' Wanna" He muttered into his pillow.

"Kaoru, Do it you're closer" Kaoru shot out his arm and threw it on the phone.

"Didn't work, you do it" He sighed, usually his brother wasn't so lazy however, they were up all night studying for their history test, they wanted to make a good impression on the teacher. He leaned over his brother and picked up his phone, shutting off the alarm he pushed the sheets off the bed and rolled his brother off the bed, Kaoru had stayed up later studying than Hikaru had, He had an excuse to be overly tired.

Kenichi was writing questions on the whiteboard for the History text he was giving. When he was done he sat down on his desk and graded papers. He sighed because he was not satisfied with the grades he was giving his students. They can do better he always thought but they just seemed to get worse everyday, all except for the Hitachiin twins that is, they always got A's or B's in his class. They were his star students, and he always set and example for the other students to study hard and get good grades like the Twins. When Kenichi was done grading papers he leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. He must of dozed off because when he awoke one of his female students was in front of his face telling him to wake up. "Ah, Im sorry class." he apologized. He got up out of his chair as the female student ran back to her desk. "Alright class as most of you know there is a history test today. The questions are on the board. Do your best. When you are done place the papers on my desk." The teacher noticed that the twins were late, but that wasn't very unusual. Kenichi sighed again and sat back down in his chair and waited for students to turn in their papers on his desk, he would grade them later. Today would be a very long day for him.

Kaoru looked at the clock a moment later and jumped up. "Where later than usual!" Hikaru sat up slowly.

"That's because you were up all night" Kaoru shrugged and jumped out of bed, he ran a brush through his hair and quickly popped on his uniform.

"C'mon Hikaru! Hurry up" Hikaru sighed at the sudden change in behavior and put on his uniform and brushed his hair. The twins quickly ran down the stairs and jumped into their limo. Kaoru sighed. "Why'd ya have to go and let me sleep that long?"

"You were tired, I tried to wake you but you didn't budge."Kaoru huffed and looked out the window, this was defiantly going to come up in their host club act. A bit later the limo stopped and the twins exited the vehicle. The quickly made their way to History.

"Sorry were late teacher." Hikaru said upon arrival.

"Ah Hikaru and Kaoru, Your here." Kenichi said. The class had only 20 minutes left and Kenichi didn't have another class after this. "You can sit down and take your test. If your not finished when the bell rings you can stay until you are done." With that he handed the twins blank lined paper and pencils. Kenichi sighed once again and sat back in his chair and leaned back. Today certainly was a long day, a very boring one at that. Why did he want to be a history teacher when he always thought it was boring? Who knows? He wasn't really the best student in any other subject at school and he didn't really want to do anything else besides sleep and eat potato chips while watching the history channel. Kenichi wouldn't say it was his least favorite subject he just thought it was boring at times. Kenichi watched as students stacked their papers on his desk to be graded. Kenichi was glad he wouldn't have to deal with more students after this period, so he could go home and do what he usually does, sleep and eat potato chips and watch TV. Kenichi yawned and looked at the clock it was already 11:30, class would end in 5 minutes, and he could grade the tests and go home finally.

Hikaru and Kaoru sat down in their assigned seats right next to each other. Kaoru quickly picked up his pencil and began working on the test that had already been placed on his desk, He wanted to finish it perfectly to impress the teacher. Hikaru on the other hand stared blankly at his test and looked over to Kaoru, looking back at his test he stood up and walked over to Mr.Ishibashi.
"Teacher." He whispered "I don't have a pencil" He said the first thing that came to his mind.

Kenichi sighed when Hikaru came up to his desk and said he didn't have a pencil. He open his desk drawer and fished around for a pencil. He found one and handed it to Hikaru. "Next time just ask your twin for one, Im sure he would have an extra one." He said just as the bell rang. He sighed and stood up in his chair. "Alright class if you are not done with your tests stay as long as you need till you are done. If you are done you are free to go. Now, for those who are not done with your tests you can stay here till you are done. I am sure you wont take very long." With that Kenichi grabbed the tests that were finished and started to grade them.

Hikaru sighed and went back to his desk. He looked back at his blank test and bit a chapped lip. He didnt remember anything on this test, Did he study the wrong material? He sighed, That might be why Kaoru was in a different chapter.. Dammit! I thought HE was studying the wrong stuff! Hikaru slumped in his seat. He didnt want to turn it in blank, But he didnt want to turn it in wrong either.

Kaoru finished his paper soon and jumped out of his seat and placed the paper on Mr.Ishibashi's desk. He smiled and sat down. Hikaru looked over to him and glared, He still hadn't written anything down yet. The bell rang and everyone got up to leave, Only two other people staying behind.

Kenichi was done grading most of the test, he only needed Hikaru's now. He noticed that he was having trouble with the test which was a bit odd for him. "Kaoru Why don't you wait outside for your brother? I don't want him to be distracted, plus you are done and school is over." Kenichi said to Kaoru. He wanted to see what was wrong with Hikaru but he couldn't when Kaoru was there. They went everywhere with each other, the had all the same classes and everything, the only thing different about them was the way the dressed and their grades, Kaoru got mostly A's and B's, while Hikaru got mostly B's and sometimes an A or two, they both did pretty well in school but Kenichi knew Hikaru would do better. He was thinking of maybe tutoring Hikaru that way he could improve his grades, not that they were bad, he would just like Hikaru to get more A's is all because he has potential to be come great at something one day.

Kaoru bit his lip and nodded, He didn't want to disobey his teacher. The younger twin stood up with his things and walked out of the room slowly. Hikaru looked up from his test at his teacher and back down. Kaoru was no distraction... but now he was alone with Mr.Ishibashi, and that made him happy. "Excuse me.. Sensei..."

"Yes Hikaru?" Kenichi said stacking the finished tests in is box to give to the student the next day. "Is something wrong? I know it was a bit strange for me to ask for your brother to go away, but I noticed you were having trouble with your test. I assume that you need help? I'm free to tutor you after school if you wouldn't mind." He added. He got up and walked over to where Hikaru was sitting. He grabbed the test off the desk. "You can take the test later. We will start a new section in he book tomorrow and I know that you will do well." Kenichi said walking back to his desk, setting down the paper and sitting back in his chair. "Come here." Kenichi said. "Tell your brother to go home and you will meet him at home later. I want to start tutoring you, starting now. I know you can improve your grades and become great one day. I believe in you." Kenichi said smiling at Hikaru.

Hikaru bit his lip and smiled back. Not because Mr.Ishibashi believed in him, but because he now had an excuse to spend time alone with him. He nodded and pulled out his phone, He looked for his brothers number and sent him a message. "Kao, I need to stay after for a while. Go on with out me."

Kaoru pulled out his phone and looked at the message feeling jealous. "But .. I was gonna tell Sensei today.." He sent his brother, Kaoru had told Hikaru about his feelings for their History teacher a few months ago. Hikaru ignored the new message he got from his brother and looked at Mr.Ishibashi.

"So what did you want to start with Sensei?"

"Well lets start with this test. Knowing you I'm sure you skipped this chapter and studied the next one, so lets study this chapter and I will let you take the test afterwards. Then we shall see how you did and go from there. Deal?" Kenichi said to Hikaru. It was kind of nice just talking to one of the brothers this time. The brothers did have a tendency to stick together and finish each others sentences sometimes, which was sometimes annoying, but he was used to it by now and don't really mind at all. He was just glad he could spend some one on one time with Hikaru, who he kind of liked, but he couldn't show his feels for a student or be with one because he could get fired from his job is he did, and his brother Kaoru was the jealous type, because every time Hikaru was alone with someone Kaoru would yell at Hikaru and say that they shouldn't be separated at all. "Hey, if you get hungry or thirsty later we can go and get something on the way back to your house. That is only if you want to. I won't force you or anything, and it will be strictly just school business. You understand?" Kenichi added. He didn't want Hikaru to get hungry and loose focus on studying.
