"We will. I promise..."

Italy had already fallen asleep, lulled by the sound of water and the warmth of Germany's arms.

Ludwig laid back and hummed softly before he himself fell asleep

When he woke, Germany was still sleeping and he kissed the man's nose, not bothering to wake him. He simply snuggled himself back in.

Ludwig was dreaming about his past. He couldn't make out anything at all, only a few paintings.

Italy could see Ludwig's expression change in his sleep and he knew his love was dreaming. He kissed his forehead and watched him lovingly.

Ludwig eventually started to toss and turn, trying to keep the dream going

Italy frowned and stroked his hair. "Shhh. It's all ok. Italy his here." He whispered softly and then hummed.

He relaxed for the most part. The dream seemed so vivid to him, like this had actually all happened.

Italy wasn't sure what was going on with Germany. He'd be sure to ask when the man woke up.

Eventually, Ludwig woke up, blinking against the light from the sun.

"Good morning star shine"He said and smiled. "What were you dreaming about?"

"I... I'm not sure.." He sat up. "It was weird..."

Italy frowned. "What do you mean?"

"It felt like it was... Something I should know... From... I don't know..."

Italy just frowned. "Are you ok?" He askedz

"Oh, of course I am." He said with a small smile. "Trust me"

Italy nodded. "Oh, that's good." He kissed Germany's cheek.

"I know..." He smiled. "Come on, we'd better get back to the house."

Italy got up. "Alright." He took Germany's hand in his own.

Ludwig stood up. "Well, let's get going..."

Italy started walking along. "I'm tired." He said and looked around. It was getting dark.

"You can sleep when we get home my love"

"He nodded. "Yeah. I know. And I can nuzzle you."

"yes you can" he laughed softly and walked them back through the cave to continue their walk back to the house.
