He held his hands over the keys and then started playing.
Her chest tightened as it got to where she had to sing, but she started regardless, completely forgetting Roderich was even playing, or even in the room for that matter.
A smile came to Roderich's face. He played softly and watched her.
Her eyes seemed to shine as she was singing, forgetting the world, and everything else. She sang until the final piano flourish and then realized where she was, blushing heavily.
"That was pretty." He complimented.
"Th-thanks.... I haven't really sung for anyone other than Gilly... and that's only because he asked me to.." She said, sitting on the bench again. "I.. get really embarrassed usually..."
He smiled. "I think it was beautiful, just like you are." He was blushing feircly at this point.
The compliment made her blush even harder. "W-well then, thank you..."
"You're welcome." He said softly.
"you're very quiet..." she frowned slightly. "is something wrong?"
He shook his head. "No, no. This is just nice."
"Ah, that makes sense..." She laughed softly, feeling silly. "I'm used to Gilbert's continuous talking I guess..."
He nodded. "Yeah. Gilbert's kinda loud."
"But, it's nice on occasion..." Suddenly, there was a beating on the skylight, and she looked up to see that it was poring down rain. "Oh.... That's.... lovely..." She frowned until thunder boomed, causing her to jump. "U-uh... I-if you'll excuse me..." She said a bit shakily. "I'm going to.." thunder boomed once more and she cringed. "G-go in the other room..." She walked out quickly, now embarrassed and terrified.
He frowned and grabbed her. "Are you ok?" He kissed her hand and held her close. "It's ok."
"I-I'm fine..." the thunder roared louder than it had and she jumped, burying her face is Roderich's chest, trembling.
He rubbed her back. "Shhh. It's ok."
"I-I hate thunderstorms..." She looked up at him, but immediately hid her face again when lightening flashed.
He helped her to sit on the couch. "It's ok. I'm here for you." He stroke hair and held her.
She wasn't shaking as bad, but she still was trembling. "Th-they suck..." She said, tensing as the storm went on.
"I know." He held her even tighter.
She focused on listening to Roderich breath, hoping to distract herself from the storm.
The power went out and they were left sitting in the dark. "It's ok." He whispered again, placing a hand on her back. "I'm here for you. You don't have to worry about the thunder. It won't hurt you. Not with me here."
She looked up at him once more. "th-thank you..." She said softly, burying her face in his shoulder, trying to ignore the thunder and lightening.
He smiled. "No problem my friend."
