Ianto wasn't surprised that Jack ended the conversation. Same thing he always did when things didn't go his way. He felt his anger leave when Tosh touched his hand. It wasn't her he was mad at and he didn't really have the energy to keep being mad.

He left the office without looking at Jack. Then the Hub without looking at Owen or Gwen. He just wanted to get out of here. And once he was gone, he wasn't planning on coming back. Nobody could make him. He'd pack some stuff and go stay with his sister. Nobody here knew who or where she was, so it should be fine for a while.

Jack watched as Tosh manouvered Ianto out of the hub. He sighed, the bravado leaving him when the Welshman left the hub. He glanced down at Owen and Gwen, glad that they had not been able to hear the screaming match that had just taken place in his office. He looked at the two agents for a moment before decending the stairs and making his way to the archieves. He knew it would hurt but there was one way he could prove to Ianto that that wasn't his Lisa anymore, that it was a monster in half human clothing, well skin. He searched through the many sections of the archieve, glad that Ianto had been taking the time to organise it before finally finding what he was looking for. It was a small circular device, not much larger than the palm of his hand, with a blue button resting on the very top, outlined in black while the rest of the device was silver. Once activated it would allow Jack to show Ianto a memory and he knew exactly what he would show the other. He would show the young Welshman exactly what the cybermen were and what they were capable of, what happened when humans were allowed to roam free partially converted. It would be painful but it had to be done.

Tosh led Ianto to her car and pushed him gently into the passenger's seat. "It'll be alright," she reassured him gently. "We'll get your things and come back and everything will get better, you'll see. I know you were only doing what you thought was right Ianto. Jack knows it too. He's just...he's touchy on this sort of thing. Really touchy. I think maybe the cybermen are one of the few things that actually...scare him." She didn't like admitting such things but what other explanation for Jack's reaction was there?

Ianto was silent as he followed Tosh to her car. He listened to her talk and grunted in response. He wasn't going to tell her he wasn't planning on coming back. She would just tell Jack and he wouldn't get the chance to leave. He couldn't let that happen. Instead, he would just leave when they got to his flat. His car was still there, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Once they arrived, he unlocked the door and went inside, straight to the bedroom. He took his time packing up his clothes and a few personal items he wanted with him. Once he was done, now came the hard part. Getting pass Tosh to his car. He didn't know how he would do that. Unless he could convince her to let him drive himself to the Hub. Though he wasn't sure she would fall for it.

Jack, now finished the preperations for Ianto's long stay in the hub, walked back to the main area to see Owen finishing cleaning up the mess from earlier. The body of Lisa the cyberwoman was no where to be seen, thankfully, and any tell tale signs of splatter on the floor were, thankfully, gone. The last thing Jack wanted was for Ianto to walk back into the hub and be confronted with it all over again. He frowned, glancing at his watch. They were taking a while. He was sure Ianto didn't live that far away although he wasn't quite sure never having actually visited the young Welshman's house. Still.....

Unnoticed by Ianto when Jack had grabbed him he had subtly planted a small tracker on his waistcoat. It was a useful alien substance which gave off a distinct signature which Jack had linked to a device he kept in his office. He bounded up the stairs and into his office, searching quickly and finding the necessary small device. It was just a silver rectangle with a screen but it was enough. Turning the thing on a local map of Cardiff appeared and there was Ianto. Now if Ianto decided to ditch Tosh he had an option of tracking him. All he needed to do was sit and wait to see if Ianto headed towards the hub or took off.

Ianto could still feel Lisa's blood on his hands. He tried washing his hands, but that didn't help. He informed Tosh he was going to take a shower. Maybe then he would feel clean. He also told her to go ahead and he would catch up with her at the Hub. It took some time, but he managed to convince her.

He took a hot shower, scrubbing his skin until it felt raw. Only once the water went cold do he get out. He changed into more casual clothes before taking his bags out to his car and driving to his sister's house.

The moment Tosh appeared in the hub and he saw that Ianto's tracker was still at his house Jack knew something was wrong. Damn it. He should've told Tosh to keep an eye on him and that it was serious. He couldn't blame her for this. She was Ianto's best friend in Torchwood and she cared about him. She'd thought he would come after her and Jack couldn't find any fault with her logic.....she hadn't known how angry Ianto was when he left, how much Jack had provoked the young Welshman.

He watched Ianto's little blip move to a house. He quickly pulled up the records himself, deciding that since it was technically his screw up he'd deal with it, and found that it was the house of one Rhiannon Jones, now married with a different surname but there could be no doubt once the picture was pulled up that she was Ianto's sister. He hadn't even known Ianto had a sister, let alone one that was married with kids. Did they all truly know so little about the youngest member of their team? Had they ignored him so completely? It didn't matter. He had to go get Ianto and bring him back to the hub.

He called to the others that he wouldn't be long before exiting the hub and going to one of the SUV's, one without the obvious Torchwood sign on the side. He would need to get those painted over at some point. Really, Torchwood was the most well known secret in Cardiff!

Ianto pulled up to his sister's house and got out. He went up to the door and knocked. Rhiannon was surprised to see him, but let him in anyway. She made tea for the two of them and he explained that he needed to stay with her for a few days. She agreed, not pushing for answers to the questions she wouldn't ask.

He sat on the ccouch with hiss tea, watching as Mica and David played their video game. He couldn't help but smile slightly as he watched them. Though it made him a bit sad. This is the life he and Lisa should have had. Now that would never happen. And that thought hurt to think about, so he forced himself to focus on something else.

Jack took longer than he nromally wound getting to Ianto's sister's house. He wanted to give his Welshman a little time alone with his family but he had to take him back to the hub. He parked around the corner and pulled out the small device. He would give Ianto an hour with his family, one hour and then the younger man would have to return to Torchwood with him whether he liked it or not.

Jack settled down in the car, making himself as comfortable as possible in the driver's seat before pulling out the little screen again to make sure that Ianto was still in fact at his sister's house. He was and Jack set the screen on the dashboard within easy viewing distance before leaning his head back against the headrest and closing his eyes for a moment. Thoughts swirled around his head, taunting him as they continued to circle around a certain blue eyed Welshman. Was he really only planning on keeping Ianto in the hub for the other's well being or was it his own gratification he wanted? He wasn't entirely sure and that frustrated him. Normally his desires were clear as day. He could identify them, act on them or deny them when apropriate (or inapropriate) but with Ianto.....it was like his senses were currently set to 'confused' and it frustrated him. He glanced at the time display on the dash. He'd been here for about five minutes. Only fifty five more to go.....

Ianto looked up when Johnny arrived home. He greeted the man in his usual way and they chatted for a while about rugby while Rhiannon made dinner. It didn't take long, and the family gathered to eat. While they were eating, he listened to Mica and David talk about things that were going on in school. He couldn't help but smile as he listened.

When he finished eating, he informed his sister he was tired and went to lay down in the guest room. He laid down, still fully dressed, not having the energy to change. It took a feew minutes for him to get comfortable and fall asleep.

Jack gave Ianto an extra twenty minutes before climbing out of the car, deciding to leave the tracking screen in the car and made his way on foot to the sister's house. It took him about two minutes and almost before he knew it he was knocking on the door. A woman that could only be Ianto's sister opened the door and Jack flashed her a winning smile.
"Hello," he said charmingly. "My name is Captain Jack Harkness. Is Ianto here? It's just that he's needed at work."
"Who're you then?" she demanded suspeciously.
"Oh sorry," Jack said, seeming embarrassed. He reached up and rubbed the back of his head in a self conscious gesture he didn't really feel. "I'm Ianto's boss. Something's happened at work and we need him back in."
"He's just gone to bed," she replied, giving him a look. Jack stared her down.
"Can you get him please? I wouldn't come if it wasn't important. Things have been hectic lately and he deserves a break but we honestly can't handle it without him."
"What exactly is he needed for?2 she asked, glaring at him, not falling for his charm the way most women, and men, did.
"Sorry," he apologized. "That's Torchwood business." She looked at him again before finally making a decision. Gesturing for him to come in she headed to where Jack suposed the guest bedroom was to get Ianto. He was getting some funny looks from the children but he only grinned at them, winking. He was good with kids, thankfully. They seemed to register his presense before turning back to whatever game they were playing. He couldn't be sure but he thought he recognised a blue hedgehog...or was it black? It didn't really matter he suposed only taht the creatures looked suspeciously like an alien race he'd encountered once.....

Ianto woke up when he felt someone shaking him. He rolled over and saw it was his sister. He groaned and sat up, rubbing his eyes.
"Rhi, is something wrong?" He asked her.
"There is a Captain Harkness here to see you. Says he's your boss and that he needed you in at work.." He was silent, furious. How did Jack know where he was?! Why could he just leave him alone?!
"Tell him to fuck off. I'm taking time off."
She hesitated for a moment before going to tell Jak the message.

Jack's eyes narrowed as Rhiannon relayed the message to him. He'd heard Ianto and he had to say he was a little shocked. He hadn't heard the Welshman, the quiet one of the group, curse like that before.
"May I speak with him, in private?" he asked as calmly as he could. Rhianon bit her lip before finally nodding and moving out of the way. Jack nodded at her, flashing a slightly strained smile before bolting towards the guest bedroom door as quickly as he could without seeming in too much of a hurry.

"Ianto Jones," he growled, shutting the door behind him and glaring down at the other male on the bed. "I get that you're angry with Torchwood and with me but do you seriously think this will help? All you're doing is making it worse. Tosh was in a state when she realised you weren't coming back! SHe thought it was her fault. She thought something might've happened to you." He glared at the other. "Do you ever think about what you're doing anymore or do you just do whatever the hell you want without thinking about the consequences? That's not the Ianto Jones I thought I knew, the Ianto Jones I've been working with."

Ianto wasn't surprised when Jack came into the room. He met the captain's glare with one of his own. Yes, he was angry at Torchwood. And at Jack. He just needed time to himself to calm down. But that apparently wasn't going to happen. He instantly felt bad when he heard Tosh was upset. But he didn't let it show. He had intended to call her later tonight.

"You don't know anything about me. Nobody at Torchwood bothered to even try to get to know me." He stated, his voice cold. Not even Tosh really knew him. And she was what he considered to be his best friend. Sure, staying away from everybody had made it easier to hide Lisa. And it would make it easy to leave Torchwood forever.

"Did you give us a chance to get to know you?" Jack countered, coming closer, meeting Ianto's eyes. "Or were you so caught up in Lisa and trying to help her that you didn't bother. Alright, we could have amde more of an effort but shouldn't you have met us half way? Or did you think that if you didn't make an effort it would be easier for us to forget about you when you took off with your Lisa when you 'fixed' her?"

Jack decided that it would probably be benneficial if he tried a different approach. He stepped forward slowly, like he was approaching a scared or wounded animal a scared or wounded cornered animal. He sat down on the edge of the bed slowly, making sure not to touch any part of Ianto's body accidentally. "You think if you ginore it it'll go away, if you just keep bottling it up then it'll fade. It won't. Trust me, it won't. The more you run the worse it gets until you think you won't be able to feel anything ever again. I've been there Ianto Jones adn it is not a place I want to see you go. Come back to teh hub."

Ianto was silent. He knew Jack was right about Lisa. But it wasn't like anybody on the team made any sort of effort to get to know him. They didn't even want him to be hired in the first place. So of course he didn't bother getting to know theem. He wasn't planning on staying long anyway.

"I just want a few days to myself. Only then will I might return to the Hub. But I won't go now to be your prisoner. I won't do it." He told him. The only way Jack was going to get him to go and stay in the Hub was to handcuff him and throw him in the cells. He wouldn't stand for anything else.

Jack sighed, running a hand through his hair in irritation. His anger at the other was beginning to boil up again no matter how much he wished it would stay bottled up where it belonged. He did not want to yell at the Welshman again, especially not with his family in the house.

"If I thought you were mentally capable of it I'd let you stay," he replied. "But the fact is Ianto you're still in shock. It hasn't hit yet and when it does you're not going to want to let your family see it. It won't be pretty. Staying in the hub isn't ideal. I know that but it really is the best solution. I'm not asking you to stay there indefinitely, just a few days. Let me make sure you're alright, let Owen run some tests to make sure there's nothing in your bloodstream or any substances that could've gotten on you from earlier. Think of it as an extended debriefing. If you still want to come here after that then you're more than welcome but this is serious Ianto." He didn't mention that Ianto staying in the hub would also allow Jack to moniter if he was going to do something stupid. He'd known people to go mad after they lost a loved one and he wasn't willing to take any chances. This was for the safety of the general public as well as for Ianto.

Ianto glared at Jack when the man said he didn't think he was mentally capable of taking care of himself. He was a grown man who has taken care of himself most of his life. He could handle this.

"Being in the Hub or here, it makes no difference. If I wanted to kill myself, you wouldn't be able to stop me." He told him. Not that he was planning to off himself. He knew that if he did want to, Jack wouldn't be able to stop him. The captain couldn't watch him at all times or he could just wait until he was alone once again. It wouldn't be very hard.

Jack's eyes sharpened immediately, narrowing at the Welshman. Was nothing going to work? If the other didn't start listening he was just going to cuff him and forcefully bring him back to the hub and screw the consequences.

"I wasn't implying that you would kill yourself," he said, his eyes narrowing further. "You said that, not me, further proving my point. Whether you realise it or not Ianto you're in shock and when it wears off you're not going to want to be here. Could you handle letting your sister and her family see you break down and when they ask you won't be able to tell them anything? Won't be able to explain? How do you think that will make them feel? They'll know you're hurting but they won't be able to do a damn thing about it." Bitterness had crept into his voice as he spoke because he'd been there, ahd had to tell people taht he was fine when on the inside he felt like he was dying, had had to suffer while others tried to help and, in the end, failed misserably because they just didn't understand.

Ianto was silent. No, he didn't want to do that to his family. But also didn't want to stay in the Hub. He took a few mintues to think about his options.

"... Fine.. I'll go back to the Hub. Only for a few days though." He told him, his eyes glaring at the ground. He would stay for a few days until the pain of losing Lisa had passed. Then he was gone. And Jack wouldn't be able to stop him. He wouldn't let him.

Jack wanted to let out a sigh of relief but resisted, knowing that it wouldn't indeer him to the Welshman. Instead he jsut stood up and looked down at the other man. His eyes had softened as he stared and he allowed a small smile to play at the corners of his lips.

"I'll wait for you outside so you can say goodbye to your family properly," he said, his voice low and gentle. He paused, debating what he should say next. What was there to say to Ianto? He was basically blackmailing the other, emotionally blackmailing him and he knew it. It needed to be done though, for Ianto's well being and for others. He cast a last glance at the other before turning and exiting the room. He apologized to Rhianon on his way out the door, giving a slight bow and a wink before he dissappeared off the steps and settled himself against a nearby wall to wait for Ianto to emerge from his sister's.

Ianto glared at Jack as he left. He really hated the man right now. He stayed where he was for another minute before sranding and gatheringg his stuff. He came downstairs and said goodbye to his sister before heading outside.

He put his stufff back into his own car. There was no way he was going to ride back to the Hub with Jack. Or leave his car here. He didn't care what the captain said. He glared at Jack once before getting into his car and starting it, leaving before Jack was even in his own car.

Jack sighed in annoyance as Ianto took off. He thought he had done a good enough job of convincing the other to come back to the hub but if he had not then the tracer would lead him to Ianto's location so he wasn't worried. Getting into the SUV, glad that he hadn't had to use the cuffs he'd stowed in his pocket, he started the enging and made his way back to the hub, occasionally glancing at the little screen to make sure Ianto was actually returning. He looked at the clock and saw that it was rather late. He hoped that the others would've gone home by now as it would make things a little less awkward upon their return to the hub. He frowned again as he wonderecd exactly where to put Ianto. He had been joking about the other sharing his bed but that was the only suitable living space in the Hub at the moment. There was no way he was going to place Ianto in a cell. There was a camp bed somewhere, in one of the storage rooms that wasn't actually used now and he was pretty sure that there were some spare blankets somewhere around the kitchen area, kept there for emergencies, but the question was where to put him where he would feel some measure of privacy but was still within easy watching distance.....the archieves perhaps? There was a security camera donw there, quite a few actually, and if he placed the camp bed right in the line of sight of one of those hidden cameras.....Yes that was what he'd do.

Feeling a little better about the situation as a whole Jack pressed the gas peddle further down and the SUV jumped forward slightly. He knew he wasn't the best driver by 21st century standards but really where he came from he was doing exceptionally well. Not to mention he didn't crash. What did he have to fear anyway? The worst thing that would happen when he was by himself was that the car would be totaled and he'd have to replace it or pay for repairs, both of which were easily covered by Torchwood so there was no need for excessive caution. Admitedly he toned it down a bit when the others were in the car because, unlike him, they couldn't come back. Either way he got back to the hub in good time before Ianto because of his specific style of driving and so was now leaning against the railing of the steps that led up to his office, waiting for the Welshman to appear.

Ianto wasn't surprised to see that Jack had beat him back to the Hub. The man drove like a maniac, after all. He parked his car and got out, leaving his bags in the trunk for now. He'd come back for them later. As he entered the Hub, he thought about where he was going to sleep. He was only slightly sure that Jack wouldn't make him sleep in his bed. He knew he wouldn't do that. If he had to, he'd sleep at the desk he kept in the archives.

He entered the Hub and glanced up at Jack before dropping his gaze. He was relieved to see that nobody else was here. It would be to embarrassing for him if they were.

"I'm here, sir. Now what?" he asked, looking at the ground.

"Now," Jack said, coming closer to Ianto and gesturing towards the storage room. "We get you a bed and settled in the archieves. It's not idea but you'll get some privacy and it'll be more comfortable then sleeping on a kitchen counter or at your desk." He flashed a small grin Ianto's way at the last comment before all but bounding towards the storage room, opening it and darting inside. Everything was covered with a fine layer of dust but it wasn't that bad and, thankfully, he didn't take him long to find the bed. It wouldn't be the comfiest thing in the world to sleep on but it was better than nothing. He exited the store room and gestured to a cupboard near the kitchen. "Go and grab some bedding and I'll head down to the archieves to set this up for you."

It didn't take him long to find the perfect spot for Ianto to set up camp so to speak. It was a quiet corner of the archievess and it was relatively close to the main hub without being in the way of anything. It would offer Ianto some privacy while still allowing Jack to keep an eye on him relatively easily thanks to the camera hidden above out of sight.

Ianto noticed Jack grin from the corner of his eye. But he didn't smile in return like he would have any other day before now. He stayed where he was when the captain went to get the bed and was still in the same spot when he returned. He nodded slightly in agreement at what Jack said upon his return and went over to the cupboard and got the bedding before following him down to the archives.

He didn't comment on the spot Jack chose. Mainly because he didn't know about the camera in that spot. He just made the bed before sitting down on it. He knew he needed to go get his stuff out of his car before he could go to bed, but he didn't have the energy to move anywhere.
