"Another week, perhaps two," Loki allowed. "After that, I would seriously consider having them early."

Elaine nodded a bit.

"I'll talk to my doctor," she said. "If she says inducing me is best in a couple weeks, that's what'll happen."

Loki nodded. He figured in another week or two she would want rather much to have them out, but he'd see how things went.

Elaine resettled herself on the couch.

"So are we actually having practice today?" she asked.

Loki shrugged. "At this point, I believe you do not need to be learning new things. You already know quite a bit, so perhaps simply continuing to practice will suffice for now."

"Alright," Elaine said. That surprised her a little, but she had more than enough to practice on her own to keep her busy for a while.

Loki was watching her, mostly because they were at a point in their training where any further training would be somewhat strenuous. He figured it would be best to wait on that.

Elaine chose to work on illusions for practice. They were mostly mental, rather than any sort of physical effort, so it was easier on her so far along in her pregnancy. And, if she was honest, illusions were fun to work on. She could see why Loki tended to favor them.

Loki watched and gave her a few pointers on those to make them more realistic, grinning as he watched. It really was quite fun to play with illusions.

Elaine had to agree on that point; she was having tons of fun with the illusions. It was a good way to distract herself.

Loki just watched and eventually started playing with his own illusions just for fun.

Elaine ended up not needing to be induced, after all; she went into labor on her own about two weeks later. It was long, and she was exhausted after, but not so exhausted that she couldn't marvel at her little son and daughter.

Steve was holding the little girl, still looking awed that he really had children now.

"She's beautiful," he said quietly. "They both are."

"They're perfect," Elaine agreed, holding their son close. The little one yawned and blinked up at her, eyes the same color as Steve's but hair a few shades darker.

Steve smiled, being exceptionally careful as he held his daughter. She blinked up at him with Elaine's eyes before settling in.

"They need names," Elaine said softly to Steve. She grinned a bit. "And no 'Bucky.' You already named your dog that."

Steve laughed quietly. "I know you had some in mind," he said, looking at her. "Any of those still sound good?"

"Vanessa," Elaine said. "I still like the name Vanessa. What do you think?"

"Vanessa." Steve smiled. "I like it. Little Vanessa." He touched the girl's nose, and she let out a huge yawn.

"Vanessa, then." She looked down at their son. "Her brother still needs a name, though. Any thoughts?"

Steve was quiet for a moment, looking down at the little boy. "Abraham?" he suggested, looking at Elaine.
