Elaine nodded.

"Go ahead," she said.

Tony nodded and activated the chips, automatically syncing the tech into JARVIS at the same time. He watched her carefully, only a little teeny tiny bit nervous that this wouldn't work.

Elaine tensed, waiting. When the chips activated and started to relay information, everything came into focus around her and she couldn't stop herself from tearing up a little.

"It works."

Tony grinned and clapped Bruce on the shoulder. "I told you it would work," he said smugly to both of them. Then he looked at Elaine again.

"Alright, time to run a few tests. JARVIS, patch us through to the living room."

The AI responded without a word, opening the video feed so they could look at the living room, where Kae was currently threatening Clint with a wooden spoon while guarding a pile of baked goods. The image patched through to Tony's cell phone, as well as appearing as a small screen to the side of Elaine's vision so it wasn't disrupting her view of what was directly in front of her. Tony had figured that would be better than just putting it front and center.

Elaine's attention was immediately grabbed by the little inset screen appearing.

"Wait," she said, "where is that?" The background looked sort of familiar, somehow, and so did the people, but she didn't want to make any assumptions yet.

"That is the main living room. Where we hang out most of the time. That's Clint now cowering in fear of the wooden spoon." Tony grinned hugely.

Elaine was busy committing the visual to memory.

"Kae was right," she said distractedly, "the tower is really kind of ostentatious."

"Hey, had to make sure no one doubted who owns the place." Tony grinned broadly. "I bet if we look around we can find Thor and Natasha, too."

"They are both in the gym, sir," JARVIS commented from Tony's phone.

"Oh, excellent." A second little vid-feed popped up to show Natasha watching Thor poke at the work out equipment.

Elaine jumped slightly when the second feed appeared, but she was quickly distracted again. Oh yes, there were no mistaking those two.

Tony grinned as he watched her.

"So, you ready to head back?" he asked with a grin. "I'm sure the others are dying to know what the rest of the presents are. Myself included."

Elaine nodded.

"Yeah," she said. Out of habit, she went into her purse for her cane, and stopped. That was going to be a hard habit to break.

Tony wisely didn't comment, instead leading the way back to the car, taking his time so she could have a bit of time to adjust and take in as much as she wanted.

"When you want to dismiss the video feeds, just tell JARVIS," Tony said, glancing back at her as he got in his car.

"Alright," Elaine said quietly as she looked around on the way to the car. She was trying to see everything she could at once.

Tony snorted at that but started driving quietly, heading back to the Tower before getting into the elevator.

Someone (he suspected Kae) had set up a small, plastic tree in a corner, and there was a small mountain of presents under it. Hey, there was a whole group of them, after all.

"We're back!" he called.

Kae immediately popped out of the kitchen, towing Clint with her. After the fourth time he'd tried to sneak past her to get at the pastries, she'd decided she needed to keep him where she could see him at all times. "Oh good. Did it work?" She looked anxiously at Elaine.

Elaine smiled and nodded to Kae.

"Yeah," she said, her voice a little thick, "it worked."

Kae grinned hugely and walked over to hug her. "Good," she said quietly. "I've been worried all morning." Then she paused.

"Barton, put a finger on that croissant and you're getting tossed out on the roof for the rest of the day."

Clint swore and moved away, grumbling.

Elaine returned the hug tightly.

"Tony says it was your idea," she said. "Is he passing blame or giving credit?" She paused. "And how do we know that's not where Clint wants to be all along?"

"Probably a bit of both," Kae said with a grin. "And Barton's in the kitchen trying to steal goodies. He has been since I started baking. I'm pretty sure he wants a cookie more than he wants to get tossed out on the roof. Besides, then he wouldn't get his awesome gift."

"Well, depending on where everybody is, we can start handing them out," Elaine offered. "And then, you know, take cover."

Kae grinned. "We just need to get Natasha, Steve, and Thor back up here," she said. "Then we can commence with handing out presents."

"They'll be up momentarily," Tony said with a dismissive shrug. "JARVIS told them when we got back."

"So another minute or so, then," Elaine said. She grinned. "Just long enough to figure out who gets theirs first before we hand them out."

Kae snickered and headed over to the tree, picking up various packages to give to people. She was already looking forward to this immensely.

It only took the others a minute to join them, and Steve headed over to Elaine, looking at her for a moment before shifting his attention to Kae.

Kae handed packages to Clint and Tony before stopping in front of Bruce and holding one out to him. "At least wait until I've found sufficient cover to start the war."

Meanwhile, Elaine had handed Thor, Natasha, and Steve each a package. And if she lingered with Steve for a few seconds longer than the other two, well, nobody had better say anything.

There was a few moments of craziness and ripped paper flying everywhere before the group had their presents unwrapped. Clint actually cackled when he took in the crossbow and nerf crossbow bolts and arrows.

Tony grinned slowly as he looked at his semi-automatic and brightly colored nerf bullets. Oh this was going to become the most epic battle ever.

"Everyone gets one minute to move and hide if you want, and then it's war."

Steve blinked as he looked down at the semi-automatic nerf gun in his hands. He didn't quite understand, and he looked at Elaine for clarification.

"It's a game," Elaine supplied. "Completely and utterly non-lethal and just fun." She grinned. "I'm going to go take cover now and wait for it to be over."
