Steve looked at her for a moment before he smiled. "I'll cover you," he offered quietly. "Make sure the others don't try to tag you."

Elaine smiled a bit and stood on her toes to kiss his cheek. It was the first time she didn't miss.

"Thanks," she said softly. Then she gave an impish grin and took off for a safe spot.

Bruce, on the other hand, broke into a distinctly uncharacteristic smile and quietly slipped away with his nerf gun. He wouldn't go looking for anyone, of course, but he would 'defend' himself (with his obviously-intentionally-green darts) if someone found him.

Steve chuckled and followed her at a more sedate pace. He was fairly confident in his ability to fend off attackers.

Kae, meanwhile, had already found a spare room to hide in, having borrowed a StarkPad to do some work on while she waited out the fireworks.

Elaine ended up finding the same room that Kae did and sat down next to her.

"I want to see exactly how much leeway Tony gave me earlier," she commented. She grinned. "I can still see the living room and the gym. Should we find out what else?"

Kae grinned. "Sure," she agreed. "I know there are multiple cameras in the living room. I wonder if you can specify which one?"

"Let's find out. JARVIS?" Now Elaine wanted to know what all Tony did. "Where did everyone disappear to? Don't leave anyone out, not even Tony."

"Agents Barton and Romanoff are making their way towards the gym. Thor is currently in the living room, heading for the bedrooms. Captain Rogers is in the hallway outside this room. Sir is waiting in the gym. Doctor Banner is down by the lab, and has just realized that Sir had the room sealed for the duration of the fight." JARVIS even sounded rather amused.

Elaine grinned.

"Is it possible for me to have video feeds on them?" she asked. She grinned when three more inset screens appeared. "Thanks."

"JARVIS, what kind of access did Tony give Elaine?" Kae glanced at the nearest camera.

"Nearly complete access to cameras, as well as a permanent link to myself."

Elaine grinned.

"I feel vaguely godlike," she said. "Ooh, there goes Tony. He's shooting at Natasha and-- Where's Clint?" She checked the other inset feeds. "I don't see him, where'd he go?"

"It is likely he is in the vents," JARVIS informed her. "I cannot see in there, and he has hidden in the vents on multiple occasions."

"Well that's no fun," Elaine grumbled. She sighed and went to the door. "Steve, go on and play with the others, I'll be fine in here. Natasha and Tony are duking it out in the gym, Clint's in the ceiling somewhere, and I think Bruce got himself locked in his lab." She paused for a moment. "And there goes Thor into the garage."

"Clint is up there," Steve said quietly, nodding to the nearest vent. "And I saw Bruce a minute ago, swearing something about being locked out of the lab. He had a bright red thing attached to him."

"Just blame that one on Tony," Elaine said. She snickered as she watched a couple of the feeds. "He just got his skin handed to him by Natasha." She nudged Steve. "Really, go play."

Steve chuckled quietly, aiming his nerf gun at the vent. "Three... two... one..." He shot into the vent and there was a startled swear from Clint.

Elaine bit her lip to keep from laughing.

"And that's what he gets for being a creeper," she commented. She gave Steve a quick kiss. "Now go. I'll hang out here for a while and keep a not-so-metaphorical eye on things." She grinned.

Steve laughed quietly and nodded, heading off to go find the others. So did Clint.

Kae snickered as she relaxed in the spare room, waiting for the war to end.

It was almost an hour later that a truce was called. Only once the darts stopped flying did Elaine venture out of the safe spot.

"Is it over?" she asked.

"Yeah, it's over," Tony said as he passed. He still had a bright green dart sticking out from between his shoulder blades. "And we still have the rest of the presents to unwrap. So hurry up." He paused for a moment, looking at Kae. "And I think Banner got stuck somewhere. You might want to go check on him."

Kae heaved a tolerantly amused sigh and found out where Bruce was from JARVIS, going to go see how he was doing.

Elaine ventured out of the room, looking around at the rainbow of nerf darts everywhere.

"I'm impressed," she said.

And indeed, Bruce was hanging out a bit closer to the labs, just taking a moment to make sure he was calm and under wraps before he went out to meet everyone else.

Steve grinned. "I have to admit, this was a lot of fun," he said, walking over to Elaine and pulling her into his side. "Thank you."

Kae knocked on the doorframe to announce her presence. "Hey," she said quietly, moving into the room. "So I saw you nailed Tony. Feel as awesome as I'm imagining?"

"Possibly," Bruce replied. He glanced at her. "Shouldn't you be out with the others?"

Elaine smiled and let him hold her. She paused when she realized she was watching the living room from five different angles. "Oh, JARVIS, could you close down these extra windows now?"

Kae shrugged. "Tony said you were hiding so I decided to come make sure you actually come join the rest of us." She grinned at him briefly, and then paused when she heard a soft click. She looked back to find the door had shut on its own. And then locked.

It took JARVIS a few moments to comply, but then he did, leaving her vision uncluttered.

"Okay, so, what exactly did they do and how does it work?" Clint looked at Elaine curiously. He'd heard about her having sight now, but he was curious.

Bruce heard it, too, and went over to the door.

"Tony thinks he's funny," he muttered when he found it locked tight.

"I'm pretty much hooked up to JARVIS at the moment," Elaine said after a second or two of thought. "It's amazing, because JARVIS is really kind of godlike." She sighed softly. "It's amazing being able to see again."

"I'm sure he thinks he's hysterical," Kae said dryly. "Although I really do have to wonder why the sudden obsession with playing matchmaker with the two of us." She quirked an eyebrow at him.

Clint nodded. "I can only imagine," he said quietly.

"Good thing I'm a genius." Tony preened for a few moments before he shook himself a little and grinned. "So! Who wants to hand out presents first?"
