"Think you could tell me about it?" Elaine asked. She smiled a bit. "I'd love to hear about Asgard." She didn't mind sitting there and listening to him; he probably needed a little one-on-one attention sometimes.

Loki was eager to comply, telling her all he could remember about his home and some of the pranks he and Thor had pulled.

Elaine couldn't help but laugh at some of the stories Loki was telling. She had to admit, some of those pranks were brilliant.

"It sounds wonderful," she said. "I wish I could pull some of those jokes on my brother, but I'm guessing you need magic for some of them, and I don't have that."

Loki nodded. "Midgardians don't have magic," he said, like this was some revelation. "Or don't believe in magic. I don't know if one of you could use magic." He tilted his head to the side, like it was a new puzzle for him.

"It might be something to think about," Elaine mused. It could be interesting to figure out. She grinned and leaned in close. "Kae has something similar, though. When we get home, ask her to make something float."

Loki grinned and nodded before he went back to watching the others, who were starting to come back so they could finish the tour of the aquarium. Tony grinned at Loki in passing before worming his way into Kae's lap, declaring he wanted a piggy-back ride. She heaved a put-upon sigh but didn't say no.

Elaine just grinned at Kae and then turned her attention back again when Steve grabbed her hand to keep going through the tour.

Steve hung on to Elaine's hand for most of the rest of the time, and Kae ended up having Tony hanging off her back for a while. When Clint tried the same with Natasha, the spy looked vaguely amused but she humored him anyway.

It was late in the day when the tour finally ended, and all of the boys (except for Thor) were looking distinctly tired out.

"I think it's about time we head home," Elaine suggested.

Kae nodded and carried Tony out to the car, making sure all the kids were tucked in before she got in to drive them home.

"That went well," she said with a little grin.

"I think they all had fun," Elaine agreed as she buckled Steve and Loki into the car. She slipped into her own seat. "We'll have to take them out again."

"Definitely. It was nice to get out of the Tower, too." Kae took her time driving back, managing to get all the kids upstairs to go take a nap before dinner.

"I agree," Elaine said. When they got back, she helped herd all the boys into their rooms for their naps. Once they were all tucked in, she flopped on the couch.

Kae had just flopped over on the floor, since this was Stark Tower and Stark never did anything by halves so the floor was goddamn comfy.

"Next outing isn't for a week at least," she groaned. "So I have time to recover."

Elaine nodded and relaxed a bit.

"Now for the million-dollar question," she said. "Should I turn off my eyes and nap, or should I ask for video feeds to keep an eye on things?"

"Oh they're passed out," Kae said easily. "Don't worry about them for an hour or two. GO ahead and nap."

"Will do." Kae stayed there for a few minutes before she started making pizzas for dinner, letting Elaine sleep as long as possible.

Giving the command to turn her eyes off, Elaine settled in to the massive couch and fell asleep. She wasn't sure how long she slept, but she woke up to find a little body snuggled up next to her. She wasn't sure who it was, but she didn't have the heart to move him yet.

Nearly a week later, Kae was a little worried. There was a hurricane due to come through soon, and she'd already made sure that the back-up energy sources were connected so they'd at least have lights. She exchanged worried looks with Elaine, going to sit on one of the couches.

Steve was already close to Elaine, curled into her side. He knew the adults were nervous, and that, in turn, made him nervous.

Elaine was fidgety as well. She had checked and double-checked that all of their necessary electronics were charged and ready and made sure that there were supplies just in case, and now it was just a waiting game.

Gently, she pulled Steve into her lap and put her arms around him.

"Everything will be fine," she said softly.

Steve nodded, but that didn't stop him from freaking out a little when the hurricane actually hit. It was loud and it didn't take long for the electricity to go down. The emergency lights came on almost immediately, but it was still a noticeable difference from normal.

Kae already had Loki in her lap, since he'd decided that was the best place to hide and wait out the storm. She let Tony burrow under one of her arms against her side, and she smiled a little at Bruce, holding up her other arm in silent invitation.

Bruce hesitated for a moment, and then took one glance at the windows before going to snuggle into Kae's side.

Elaine wasn't surprised that Steve freaked out at the storm, but she made sure she had space for Thor to come snuggle as well. She figured Clint would cling to Natasha.

Kae made sure her three charges were all okay, murmuring soothingly to them. Well, it could be worse, she reasoned. At least they weren't totally freaking out. And Bruce hadn't Hulked out, which was always a good thing.

Steve trembled a little, pressing closer to Elaine. This was just another type of storm he did not like.

Elaine rubbed Steve's back soothingly, letting him get closer.

"It's alright," she said softly. "The storm can't get us in here."
