No More Worries - Neko & Ember
No More Worries http://i40.tinypic.com/28apbmd.png Written By: Neko Ninja & Ember Island Ever since Reid was kidnapped and tortured by someone who was screwed up in his own way, Reid remembers everything, including his own messed up past he has tried to forget. Now that he is recovering weeks later and with the team's help. Someone else among the team wants to help Reid get over everything and even forget it all. Can they do it? Find out soon... Morgan was sitting at his desk, he wasn't focusing on his paper work, but, the state they found Reid in after being kidnapped, tortured, and almost killed. Hotch was wondering what was up, but, it wasn't his place to say anything. He actually had liked the younger one, Reid, but, knew there was someone else on the team that liked Reid, but, never would say anything. Hotch wouldn't say anything, not his place, but, if anyone else got involved it could mean trouble. Reid had the choice to go back to work or stay home for awhile to relax, however, being alone after that happen, well it was never really a good thing. (Forgot about my OC's I wanted to have in the stories) Name: Crystal Cryslyn (crys-lin) Age: 26 Info: Crystal used to be known as Crystal Calebs, but, she had her name change ever since her family tried to teach her a lesson 5-6 years ago, and now she is sort of odd (messed up). She became a model part time while the other time she is out searching for people who could harm or kill others. She pretty much takes them down even at the cost of her own life. Looks: Hair is originally blonde and she has no pierces-but her hair looks like in the picture now |
Reid knew that he could have stayed home after everything that has happened. But, since he hadn't gotten any sleep last night, he wasn't sure he wanted to be alone. But, he also didn't want the team to know that he was having a hard time dealing with what happened. He knew he could handle it on his own and he didn't need any help. With that in mind, he soon arrived at the office and went straight to his desk, setting down the cup of coffee he had brought with him.
|
"I thought you were on vacation" Hotch stated catching Morgan's attention who looked up to see Reid, most of the others were working on quiet cases. "Oh hey Reid, how's your morning?" Morgan wasn't going to bring up anything about what happened, he didn't think it was a good idea. "Are you feeling any better?" he asks.
|
"I decided I didn't want a vacation. I just want to get back to work." Reid said in response to what Hotch said. He took his seat before looking at Morgan. "My morning was just fine. I'm doing just fine." He said, just a bit to quickly. But he didn't notice that.
|
"Well, we're mainly working on the silent cases today, so far there isn't any field work" Morgan said until Hotchner looked up after getting a call on his cell "Three children have just been reported missing by the same vehicle this week" meaning it was their job to figure out who was kidnapping the children and why, most of the time it was for rape or something disturbing. "Is it any different than the others?" Rossi asked as he stop scanning through his computer and stood up already having his gun on him "We need a team out where the children were taken, keep an eye out, there is a girl who has been at every kidnapping an anonymous tip stated" Rossi nodded, this wasn't a normal kidnapping then and who was this girl that had been at every spot but didn't do anything.
(I might need some help bringing in some other characters until I can remember names) |
Reid would have gladly just stayed here and just do paperwork. He wasn't sure if he was ready to beout in the field yet. But, he wasn't going to complain. He would do his job. "Alright Hotch. Who's going to go check out the crime scene?" He asked, ready to go if he needed to. Though he hoped he didn't have to.
|
"Rossi, Gideon, let's go, the rest of you try to find out what you can about who is doing all of this, and why are they doing it" Hotch gave them a task, meaning they had to do it, and right now Hotch was already gone leaving the paper work on Morgan's desk. The others left without another word. "Well, at least they left us the papers" Morgan stated waiting for them all to be gone before he spoke.
|
"I personally enjoy going through paperwork." Reid said, taking the papers off of Morgan's desk. He rally did prefer it to being out in the field. Especially since what's recently happened. But, he wasn't going to let that show. No point worryi ng anybody when he was handling it on his own.
|
(sorry was watching criminal minds, on im season 4 at the moment. Mainly watching episodes with interest)
"How did you sleep last night?" Morgan asked knowing that Reid had before had some problems with sleeping after that, Gideon had tried to help to ease that a bit, to help Reid sleep more profoundly. Morgan looked at his computer and started searching through similar events to see if they could find a suspect in any way. This was going to take awhile, Morgan actually liked the field work more than paper work, but, he wasn't going to say anything about it. |
(Its alright. I've personally seen every episode.)
"I slept just fine." Reid said. Sure, it was a lie. But, he didn't want Morgan to worry about him. Honestly, he had only gotten about two hours of sleep. But, he would be just ffine. He just needed coffee. Speaking of which, he needed a refill. He set the papers down before going to the break room, refilling his cup and pouring in the correct amount of sugar. That done, he went back to his desk. |
Morgan was reading the screen noticing there were more murders within the state however, it seemed to be wide spread. So that means it could be related or just a coincidence and in their line of work, nothing was ever a coincidence. "Looks like there has been three others within the state in the past month, happens on a random day once a week, and then it's quiet until the next week. Looks like there is nothing special about the victims besides being an adult male" Morgan stated skimming through the images of the victims. So far there were suspects, but, the charges seemed to be dropped so there would be no real leads right now. "Hm, that's odd who would just attack men out of the blue once a week in a different area?" Morgan asked aloud to see if Reid had any ideas.
|
Reid thought for a moment. "It may seem odd or random to us, but to the UNSUB it might make perfect sense." He told him. That seemed to happen a lot with murder cases. He knew that in time it would all start to make sense. They just needed to do some more digging for information.
|
(whats an unsub? they said that in the show too and i dont know what it is, I assumed it was the killer or something)
"Well, this will be fun" Morgan spoke sarcastically, already bored with the assignment, a few hours went by, the team was still on the field, and Morgan hadn't found out anything really. "I give up, does the report say anything different than what I found?" what he didn't know was that the killer was actually going after step fathers who emotionally or mentally abused kids, some were so stupid as to not understand what they were doing, because of the way they grew up without parents, one parent, or without anyone in the family to show them the love they needed to know in order to be a parent themselves. |
(Its their word for the killer.)
Reid didn't mind the work. He spent the time the team was gone going through the reports. But no matter how hard he looked, he couldn't figure this out. And its making him frustrated. And no matter how much coffee he drinks, he can't stay focused. He was surprised when he heard Morgan speak. He shook his head in response. "No.. it all seems to be the same." |
(okay I was wondering about that)
Morgan put his head down on his arms facing the top of his desk, "Wait a minute" he sat up "If there has to be something they have in common, then I'm looking at this wrong. I'm looking for males and nothing else" Morgan started to try different things to link the murders up to the others. Whether its multiple wives, children, or just plain abuse. There was nothing on record, except for two of the victims, both were remarried to women who had children. Those children disappeared after the mothers left or was killed the next day in some freak accident. "So there is something different, come look at this" the computer talked about how in each family the children weren't happy, were depressed, or just plain rebelling because they felt they didn't belong in the world since their mothers remarried. Odd enough, each of the victims had ties to the others, the children were all friends with eachother, but, they hadn't shown up for a long time now. |
Reid helped Morgan go through things again. He noticed the connection only after the other pointed it out. Which made him feel stupid for not noticing sooner. It was something he should have seen sooner. "Your right. Why didn't we see this before? We're going to need to talk to those kids." He stated.
|
(dont worry I didn't forget the sasu/kaka one I need to think of something for it)
"But the kids haven't been seen since the day before their fathers, step fathers, were killed" Morgan stated wondering if he had missed something, but, the only thing that was left about the kids, was they were last seen in the houses the day before the murder happened. And that they couldn't place the kids at the crime scene, so they had to have been gone before it happened. "Maybe they knew about it or they were apart of it" Morgan thought scrolling through to see what all he could find, but, he wasn't having much luck. Just then, Hotch walked in with the rest of the team asking "What did you two find? Anything?" |
Reid was silent as he thought about what they could do. He only looked up when Hotch came in. "We found out that all of our victims had kids who appears to be missing." He ttold him, still looking for some sort of connection.
|
"And the fact that none of these kids are with their birth fathers, so its just their step fathers their mothers married" they could be looking at a single murderer or a group of kids getting back at their parents. That seemed to be how things were going right now, the kids were the suspects, and the parents were the victims. "I wonder if they were abused and it's them doing this" Morgan spoke, he had a feeling the kids weren't involved, but, what else could it mean? Hotch on the other hand suspected the children right as soon as he heard they were gone. "Alright, we need to figure out who those kids were and where they went, the sooner we find them the sooner we can end this"
|
Reid nodded in agreement. He instantly got back to work. Whether the kids were involved in the killings or not, they needed to be found and questioned. And he would do what he could to give the families of the victims closure. They deserved that, no matter how their husbands behaved.
|
Hotch stood up "Reid see if you can find anything about the kids, Morgan I want you and Gideon to visit each of the houses of victims within the area and talk with the mothers" if they were still there that is. Hotch started putting papers away while Morgan and Gideon left to go see who they could find and question.
(this might be a spot i need a little bit of help because i might know hotch's personalities but I'm not totally sure what he normally is doing) |
Reid nodded and immediately began working again. He found plenty of information, but nothing about where the kids would be. Feeling frustrated, he got up and went to get another cup of coffee, knowing it would help calm him down.
((Hotch normally does whatever he could to help with the case.)) |
