Rachel raised an eyebrow.
"Not even a gown that Gold made for you?" she asked, grinning a bit. "Come on, it'll look beautiful." |
Tina pouted but reluctantly started to get dressed. It took her a while, but eventually she emerged wearing a ball gown and looking rather uncomfortable.
|
Rachel grinned, already in her own gown.
"Very pretty," she said, working on brushing her hair out. It was now well down to her calves and she was trying to get it to wind into a bun. |
"Here, let me help." Tina left her own hair alone for the moment, going over to help Rachel with hers. She grinned as she brushed it out. "What do you want me to do this time?"
|
"I want it higher than mid-back," Rachel said. "If that's even possible anymore." She made a face.
|
"Yes, I just have to get creative." Tina grinned and started pinning up her hair expertly, making it look nice and putting the sea shell combs in it. "There, how's that feel?"
|
"Nothing's pulling painfully at all," Rachel said as she moved around a bit. "It's good."
|
"Good." Tina grinned and picked her skirts up carefully so she could walk. She hadn't put shoes on yet, and she was trying to see if she could get away with not wearing any.
|
Rachel went over to the closet (with a bit more ease of movement) and pulled out two pairs of shoes: one pair of ivory heels and a pair of flat gold slippers. She grinned at her friend and handed her the slippers.
"Here," she said, slipping her feet into the ivory heels. |
Tina examined the shoes for a moment before she sighed and gave in, putting them on.
"At least they're flat," she muttered gratefully. |
"That's the point, sweets," Rachel said as she straightened her skirt. "I figured gold would go with anything you would be wearing, so I grabbed them when I saw them."
|
"Great. Thanks." Tina grinned and ruffled her hair up, not quite getting it to spike but getting it out of her face and eyeing the two strands that kept falling in her eyes.
|
Rachel held out a pair of bobby pins.
"One good thing about having too much hair," she said. "Apparently I had every hair-taming implement known to man." |
Tina snickered and took the bobby pins, pinning her hair out of her way.
"There, I think I'm just about ready, if I really have to go." |
"You should go for at least a little while," Rachel said. She gestured to the door. "Come on, let's go."
|
Tina sighed but headed to the door and then over to the main area, where the guys were waiting.
Hook grinned when he saw the two, absently straightening his shirt a little. He'd even dressed up for the occasion. |
Gold had also dressed nicely for the occasion and had even found a nicer cane to use for the evening. He was very carefully not paying the least bit of mind to Hook.
Rachel smiled and blushed just a little when she saw Killian smiling at her. "Ready?" she asked. |
"Indeed." Hook held out his arm for her, still grinning.
Tina cautiously made her way over to Gold, still uncomfortable in the dress. But she didn't trip on anything, which was a good start. |
Rachel took his arm, still a bit pink.
"You look nice," she offered, a bit awkwardly. Gold simply smiled a bit at Tina and offered her his free hand. |
"Thank you. You, love, look gorgeous." Hook smiled and started for the door, letting her set the pace. "I should get you to dress up more often."
Tina took his hand with a little smile and walked next to him, still too nervous to start relaxing. |
"Mmm, you should try wearing a ball gown and then see if you say that again," Rachel teased.
Gold led Tina outside where a large carriage was waiting. He didn't particularly like the idea of sharing a carriage with the pirate, but it was more efficient, so he put up with it. |
Hook laughed quietly. "Oh, I think a ball gown is much more flattering to your figure," he said with a grin. "However, I will put up with this for you." He gestured to his attire.
Tina managed to get in without making a fool of herself and settled in carefully next to Gold. |
Rachel smiled.
"Well you look wonderful," she said. "You look very lovely," Gold murmured to Tina. |
"I may be persuaded to wear this again," Hook said with a little grin.
"Thanks," Tina murmured. "You look good, too. That suits you." |
"We'll see how much persuasion it takes," Rachel said, grinning.
"Thank you," Gold replied. "I found I was rather surprised at how much of my former wardrobe survived." |
